Yes, like it's stated. It works only, if you have got BTC, ETH, USD or EUR in your wallet.

But the balance on waveswallet.io (both web and app) is 0. There is also no transaction history, even though I definitely made some exchange transactions.

I don't know, why wavesgo does show some waves on your balance. You could check additionally http://wavesexplorer.com/. Exchange transactions are currently not listed on wavesgo, I think on wavesexplorer neither.

Would be nice to hear back from people on the know about these problems. I dont think this is the first time this has happened.
When it does I could tell by looking at dashboard next to my address, block would be 0
further I checked on devtools chrome, the page is spewing lots 403 errors
but if disconnect my modem and get new IP then re login, it turns back normal
so I'm no sure whether it's error or simply the server rejecting connection from specific origins
