Waves is really potential but not the same like ethereum. Waves is not ERC-20 base that can accept the new coins payment. Ethereum is doing great and overcoming the market downfall. Actually, it was below 100 dollars few days ago but now good to know it is rising. By the way it the rank #2 in coinmarketcap again.

In terms of platform application, ETH is still dominating and the pump that happen is just temporary and waves are now back to its stable price. I will only agree that waves will replace ETH if it has move positively when all the alts are going down, unfortunately, not what we see now.

It would be nicer if you go beyond the movements of prices. More importantly, it is not good to immediately jump into some form of imaginary ideas and far-fetched conclusions simply because a certain coin is growing big time. It is more interesting to get to know the reasons behind the very strong pumps. It was caused most probably by the good news surrounding the project. Meet-ups and speaking engagements here and there, the upcoming Vostok Project which is basically still linked to the Waves blockchain, the huge funding that they were able to secure for the same project. I am also excited about the future of Waves.

Just as Waves went into a rampage last December, Ethereum followed later on although not yet 100% up but it will be more than that soon as forks are not yet happening.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys carry out research before posting some questions or comments in the forum. Just because Waves rose by 100% doesn’t mean it’s going to become the next ETH. There are coins that have done that over ten times but they are not able to reach the top hundred list not to talk being the next Ethereum. No man. I never think if Waves will replace Ethereum. You can easily check the current price improvement in CMC and also consider its rank. Ethereum has already improved very well in this early year (2019). It has come back in second place and seems to be stronger. It is quite impossible for Waves to overtake Ethereum. I don't see a chance for the Waves.
I think my be Waves can be increase more than 100% but in the current market situation can't be grow more and when bull run will come than may be grow more than 100%.

The decreasing price of Ethereum certainly provides an opportunity for other coin platforms to be able to improve the quality of their products, this is good news for the chances of new crypto coins to rival Ethereum.
