I don't think there is a 5 post limit now with activity.

It's actually a very good rule that keeps people from creating throw-away accounts just to make a certain reply to a certain thread Wink

It can prevent people from making 'sockpuppets' also. So that's a plus.

stupid

I don't think it's stupid. It's to stop people spamming & writing one word replies.

I think captcha is the best solution , with lower limit that would be much easier to use the forum.

Iam new as well and just registered. But why the hell you have such crazy unreadable captcha? Had to reload the site few times to get a readable captcha, but inserted already twice a wrong code Smiley With the 5 post limit, yea i have no clue how to prevent spamming. But for new member all this is annoying.

Is there a reason why PM's are disabled for Newbies? I'd like to contact someone, but since I'm confined to the Newbies section and can't send PM's there seems like no feasible way.

Ugh! Did you read the newbies post? Roll Eyes

Yea so you don't spam other people's inbox

Interesting way to stop the bots but certainly frustrating when you have basic understanding and just want to crack on!

Fair enough.

Solution I'm unsure of.  Seems to stop the spam so probably worth keeping in the long run!

I've been lurking the forum for months and never felt the need to register.
I don't think the 5 post limit accomplishes much seeing as how there are accounts for sale on the forum, but it is still a deterrent and I'm not sure there is a better way.

I don't think there is much to complain about. We just have to do it once.
