If you ask anyone who has recently bought Bitcoin, why did you buy it? He will tell you that he wants to become rich.
This is not so bad, at least the voices that link the dollar to dark activities have declined.
Also, traders and big centers can’t be blamed for accepting Bitcoin, those fluctuations make it very dangerous.
It is a reality that we must live with but in the future may be used as currency.

it is necessary to make it clear. it provides many conveniences in a decentralized structure. but the crypto money comes out of the control of those who develop it. For this reason, there is no real dominance.

This is something that I've spoted a long time ago.
Majority of new users are only interested in profit, there are no enthusiasts anymore and those who are interested in Bitcoin as a concept, way of life and new technology, they don't even try to get some substantial knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
But I guess this is the trend now but since profit doesn't come out of blue and you have to work hard for it such attitude should change.

Well being a want  to be millionaire is what pushes every industry, there is no harm in it. Henry Ford didn't make the assembly line for the good of man he did it to produce more cars cheaply. Innovation comes from an attempt to outdue the competition and win.

You aren't going to become a millionaire if no one is using Bitcoin as a currency. OP is right, if everyone just hordes their Bitcoin and hopes to get rich it will hurt the whole system.

The only way for Bitcoin to reach its true potential is for people to use it for its original intention...as a currency.

Ulterior motives make cryptocurrencies look too money inclined. People keep asking "when exchange?"  may be worst offenders when it comes to dumping, just because they wanna cash out quickly. Sometimes dumps only hurt the project as new investors may perceive the project as unyielding due to the price of the tokens.

Crypto can really help those in countries suffering from financial instability, just look at venezuela. If the petro can turn things around for them then they can act as a model for other countries around the world.

Bitcoin isn't a bubble. It's the pin!

I have only gained good things from cryptocurrencies (they have changed my life for the better), however, I am frustrated at those who are in for money, and only money. They hurt themselves as well as cryptocurrencies future. I am sad that I still can't use bitcoin to purchase the things I want, as it isn't used as a payment currency/method. I am sad that there are big financial institutions that want (and do their best) to wipe the crypto world out, and instead of working together as a crypto-community to thrive, we are fighting, arguing, and scamming each other. Where I live, the government relentlessly tightens and destroys our financial lives—I was lucky to have found salvation in cryptocurrencies when others struggled.

We need to show the world that we are not just a bunch of wanna-be millionaires, that we actually care.

We don't necessarily need to change, we just need to change the way we talk about Bitcoin. A lot of people have advertised Bitcoin as a way to make money and get rich quick. This is not what we need to be telling the public, as it sets false expectations. A lot of the 2017 newbies have been realizing this. They came to Bitcoin thinking they would be making a ton of money when it turns out they are actually losing their money. They only look at Bitcoin as a way to make money, they know nothing about the technology. We need to talk about the technology and how Bitcoin can change people's lives for the better.

Don't worry about things you don't have any influence on. Concentrae on your actions and promote your own mindset. Those who want will follow, but you won't force anything.

I really think there is a way to use your bitcoin in buying the things that you want, I really think there are exchanges and money transfer now that avail exchanging even cryptocurrency you just have to search and deal on a highly amount of fees that can surface in doing so, Well regarding the millionaire thing I really think that is the point why many enthusiast really want to dig in into cryptocurrency is to gain profit But if many people would not get profit from bitcoin and other coins then what's the use in mining and doing stuff that making people earn even a small portion of it, That is why the demand for cryptocurrency is still at large because thats the point for most investors and enthusiasts.

Good for you, its been a life changer for everyone. However, how can you blame them if they are making tons of money thru trading and investment?

They hurt themselves as well as cryptocurrencies future. I am sad that I still can't use bitcoin to purchase the things I want, as it isn't used as a payment currency/method.

True but I don't think that merchants will rightly accept it because of bitcoin's volatility. I also wanted to see bitcoin grows as a payment method, but the game has change a lot since its inception and its becoming more of a speculative asset.

I understand your sentiments. There's a lot of negative connotation and governments and central banks around the world wanted to put an end not just to bitcoin but the whole crypto itself. However, I don't think that they will succeed because there are countries who remains friendly to us. I also don't think we are fighting or arguing in this community. In fact, everyone is trying to help out, calling ICO project a scam if they see one and giving us a heads up.

We need to show the world that we are not just a bunch of wanna-be millionaires, that we actually care.

This is a free market and there will be bad eggs amongst us (scammers/hackers) unfortunately.

There is trouble abrewing

it is partly our own fault though. you can't always blame others. for example you mentioned something about not being able to spend bitcoin to purchase things you want. the question is, have you really searched to see if it is impossible to buy that thing with bitcoin or are you making an assumption? because i have seen many who were just assuming they can't spend bitcoin but they could.
but also we know bitcoin adoption as a currency is not yet great, again this is partly our fault. for example how many times have you asked a merchant that you use to start accepting bitcoin? we need to start from ourselves and push for adoption then expect others to follow.

If you want to become a millionaire and even prove to the world that crypto is very useful, of course you do not need to be disappointed with people who try to destroy bitcoin because bitcoin has a good future so it uses the opportunity in the crypto world if you have done your best you will definitely get many advantages of crypto.

actually it is not a bad thing. the illusion of being rich leads people to crypto money. It's like some kind of advertising campaign.

This ultimately the dream of many pioneers and enthusiasts, but let's face it, it will be near-impossible to get the coin into the mainstream economy short-term, and would likely see its heydays as a speculative asset and nothing more. Even I who started late in the game (2013) wanted to see bitcoin as a working currency and not just some speculative asset, although once it comes to fruition, the speculative side of things for bitcoin could weaken, ultimately lowering the number of users if the currency aspect of bitcoin fails. As of now, we will not be seeing the currency aspect of bitcoin as there are no merchants willing to take the risk (while bitpay and similar services exist) in the coin's volatile nature.

Of the entire population of bitcoin users around the world, only 1.3% of people who use bitcoin as an exchange / payment tool, this is quite sad. There are many factors that make people reluctant to use bitcoin as a payment / exchange tool, one of which is a government ban and legislation in every country.
