It was a interesting concept, but why you shut it down

Our site is currently down and has been for a while, looking for a developer who would like to help restart the project.
But before you restart this project dev, do you think this is really worth to further develop this type of betting platform? From my impression, not many people are aware of this kind of weather betting platform and I don't think not many gamblers will play on this betting game. So you need to evaluate if you can really get sufficient players because if not, you might be wasting resources here. I know, this is a unique one but you need to check how you can maintain your site.

its been offline for a few years, some would have used it previously.
I remember when it was open it was unique and fun concept.
Do you have any plans regarding site in the future?

its certainly nieche, we have players who are asking for its return and have some new developments in prediction we will be using to provide odds.
I have never thought the idea of betting on weather til now.
If I may ask, what are the bottlenecks that you encountered while running this betting site before?
Maybe, it is a start to identify the possible issues that you will embark later on.
I cant give to much away about how the site works, but it involves api fees from around the globe and keeping the data current and up to date. as more stations come online or have issues and feeds expire, we need to keep customers updated that they cant bet and test all this process.

Wow. Been a while since i've read about this site. I remember when they actually first launched.
However I knew it was going to be tough to attract attention because its very difficult to predict the weather.
They actually have weather futures for crops and such on the CME. Its generally for farmers who want to hedge against bad weather which can affect their growth for the year.

I think right now with the global warming, its very difficult to bet on weather. In Canada we normally have -30C weather in Febraury but the coldest this month was probably -10C or so.

I just came across this for the first time today. I never considered betting on the weather! Very interesting, I think I might just give it a try to so that I can say I've bet on the weather with bitcoin.
