And when we thought that the Mavs are going to even the series, look at what the defense of the Warrior did do them in the 3rd quarter, limiting them 13 points and almost double the Mavs score in the 3rd. And then finished them off with a 43-32 edge in the 4th. Looney taking advantage of Mavs small lineup, with 21-12 contributions.
It's because they are facing a good defensive team right now, unlike in the Phoenix wherein the Mavs can go and score the way they want, in this series, it's very different and maybe this is an eye opener for them. Warriors is as healthy as they get in the last 3 years so you can see how good they're really are when everyone is 100% compete and focus on winning, a caliber of a true champion. Game 3 though shifts to Dallas, so it's going to be a make or break game for them to show up and prevent 3-0.

If GSW will show the same performance then it's an easy 3-0 with them because Mavs at their best versus GSW at their best will surely a GSW wins. GSW now has 3 consistent sharpshooters while Wiggins can take the role of KD before when they are the Champion who dominate NBA for more than a year. Mavs can win on their next game if GSW will show a very poor shooting accuracy just like what they experienced in Grizzlies match that which almost all of them have very bad accuracy.

I want to see game 7 or at least 4-2 with this western conference finals!

That's the big advantage of the Warriors in this series is that they know how to come back and win the game. I think they were down as high as 19 points in game 2 but they were able to comeback in the 2nd half and still beat the Mavericks.

It's now 2-0, Warriors made a huge comeback in the 3rd and 4th quarter after Luka and the Mavs take the first 2.

Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!
The defense on Luka is only single coverage, if Luka cannot be effective in sharing the ball, even if he score, he will still get easily tired in the 2nd half. That's what we see in game 1, it was close in the 1st half but in then 2nd half the Warriors displayed their full dominance.

Actually, I don't have any problem with that Luka's style since that was effective throughout.

My concern is those lots of failed attempts at the rainbow area right from the 1st Quarter. Dodging the Warrior's defense isn't a problem with the Mavericks but there are lots of uncontested shots made by Luka, Brunson, Bullock, and Kleber to name a few but they can't nail those shots. In other words, almost the majority of Mavericks gunners are having their worst shooting percentage that night regardless if it was well-defended or not.

I believed they can bounce back. The series is still a long way to go. Mavericks don't have a Game 1 win yet in the whole playoffs. They always started behind.

So with that, I think they'll also lose in game 2 and will win game 3. They will have to make the right adjustment, but if their shooting is still awful, then most likely we will see the same result as in game 1. Warriors are very much ready, they'll do everything to protect their home court, so I expect a 2-0 score after game 2.

For sure Luka will be back and will try to steal one game at Chase Center. But it will be very difficult if the others players are not going to shot very well. That's their main weapon in beating the Suns previously. But with the way they shoot in the first game, it was absent. Maybe credit to the Warriors for a good defense, but the Mavs need to find their shooting form back in they wanted this series to be close or if they want to have a chance to advance to the championship.

It's easy to say though but it's hard to do that.
Warriors did well on limiting Luka, and when Luka is limited, that would mean his team will struggle.

Luka has to scored at least 30 points with a good shooting night and with at least 10 assists for them to have a chance, if he cannot do that, then I would not expect them to win game 2.

That's the public perception, however, if we look at the previous round, on the games of the Warriors, they don't cover most of the games. Actually, most of the games are covered by the Memphis, and that's why we have to be very careful when it comes to betting as the line that we think is very attractive could only be a trap to beat us.

Why do you open a separate topic for each series when the biggest gambling topic of the forum is the NBA? I don't understand why you see such a requirement.
For the Golden State - Dallas series to be long, Dallas needs to put up resistance and level the series tonight. Otherwise, the return of the series after 2-0 is close to impossible. Doncic must give his all today and other players must play their best games alongside him.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man
^^ It was a well balance attack from the Warriors, they really played very comfortable at home and doesn't need a big game from Curry to win the first game.

They started hot as compare to their previous series with the Memphis in which they will have to make a good comeback. But this time, they build a solid lead and increases it as the quarter goes.

This is like a Warriors vs Denver series, Warriors dominated the 2 home games and steal 1 game on the road. I think the series won't be long if Dallas will not make an adjustment in game 1 on how to limit Curry, because if they are down 2-0, I will expect that the Warriors would already win the series.

The chemistry of the warriors are very evident, everyone was playing their role effectively.

The chemistry plays the big role here. They are magnificent from both defense and their offensive attacks. I love how Wiggins

played today, he is really adjusting to his new role being a 2-way player like Klay will give him more confidence. Looking to see a new

super 5 of GSW. Splash bro and their cousin Poole plus Green and Wiggins, who will be the main defensive ministers.

Any NBA team that focuses on doubling curry is screwed is leaving 1 player free to act and in the Warriors you cannot leave any player free, you pay the consequence. I think Dallas is a much better match up for Warriors because they just need to worry about Luka then overwhelm them with their usual offense. If they give Luka those open threes, he will make them.

You can see how the good the defense of the Warriors in that game, Luka was still the Mavericks leading scorer but he was only 6-18, or his shooting dropped 33% in this game, if he continues to shot like this, then we cannot expect a close series. And take note, Luka also has 7 Turnovers, that's big.

Winding down.
The splash brothers does not have to work hard anymore because of role players like Poole who can score on a consistent basis.

And also, let us not forget the contribution of some players on the Warriors roster.
Wiggins 19 points
Looney 10 points
Green 10 points
Porter Jr.10 points.

And not only that, Warriors also dominated the rebounding department with 51-35 difference.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
Mavericks have always been underrated especially since the Warriors have a huge fandom and they've been loyal for years.
That would not change, unless they'll beat the Warriors on both game 1 and 2.
Even if Mavericks will win the series, they will still be the underdog in the NBA Finals because they are not really expected to go this far.
Mavericks lose game 1, I expect them to lose but not with a very huge margin.
It's a 25 point win enjoyed by the Warriors, so if the same trend will happen again, I think Warriors will still win game 2 and it's up for the Mavericks if they will respond to the challenge in game 3 and 4 which they will be playing on their home court.

Poole still has a lot to prove but honestly, he has shown great performances this season. It's just that he still has to put up a good name to reach tenures' achievements.
Poole have already proven what he can do, besides, he is not a star player of the team, so his contribution is really more than enough already.

Poole played well in game 1. he made    19 points from 8/12 shooting, efficient night for him.

Not saying Mavericks has a high chance to beat the Warriors but I will look forward to that.

Good luck mate, tough call. Dallas on the betting lines are still undervalued, as they are the heavy underdog in the series even though they beat the Suns in the semi Finals. Luka had already proven he got skills,  but of course, fans see the Warriors as a strong team as they are in this kind of situation many times before, and them going back to the NBA Finals, would make the NBA finals more interesting.

Dallas Mavericks is already an underdog before the playoffs started.

They are not considered a threat before the playoffs. But looking at what they have done so far, upsetting the Utah Jazz, upsetting the Phoenix Suns, and on a mission again to upset the heavy favorite, Golden State Warriors, that's already a big achievement to them that's why even not their fans are recognizing them.

The team is underrated. I like them to win the WCF.

I like the Mavericks to win, too, but I also want more of Poole on this NBA season since he's already proven that he can go toe to toe against NBA players that have been playing in the paint for longer than he is. I like to see him go further and get his ring at a very young age. Although his attitude 'sometimes' isn't very good, overall he's still a good player that will post some good records in the next coming years during his tenure in the NBA.
