I think new promising coins are worth considering, rates of some of them later rocket to the sky, or offer discounts during Pre-Sales, others offer unusual concepts, e.g. these guys here claim they offer a new strategy with lower risks and investements in private equity https://medium.com/fundcoins/fundcoin-ico-announcement-cd32a95fb241

these are my coin of choice:

1. Ethereum - this my best alt coins for short term investment or trading.
2. Ripple - first choice for long term invstment as it is backed by the bank and other financlail institution. its price is quite stable for a long time   and i can hold it a year or more.
3. Waves - my promising alt coins. Russians supports this coins and i guess price will ramp up soon.

I agree with you, I also bought some ETH to join in some ICO projects and I have made some profits. I also bought some Ripple and Waves for long term investment.
Waves and Ethereum can increasing up the price in next time if SEC have new rules make the ICO market clearly and not have scam project. In recently, we have Filecoin is project accept rules from SEC and they have raised more than 51 million dollar although just pre-sale.

hi all currently what alt coins is worth the invest?
Altocoin is also quite a development nowadays, they all seem to be made up of Bitcoin based. There are some very potential development types, you can choose to make profitable investments. I think Ethereum is a pretty good coin, it's also called Bitcoin 2.0. It has recently had a breakthrough in exchange rates and market capitalization as well as many countries accept, many are also investing in it. There are also some other types of coin such as Ripple, Litecoin are also very developed, their potential is large.

I think more profitable to follow ICO project, you want to invest or join signature, big hope to join ICO project, in comparison you invest on allcoins.

Another thread to ask for altcoin investment advice, I think you should do some research first, there have been many threads here talking about that, and I think this question is too big, you will be confused with different answers.

I would like to recommend this two coins:

1) OAX, this coin is a new coin that just listed on Liqui, the detail information can be found here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annoax-openanx-real-world-application-of-decentralized-exchanges-1943946
2) DCT, Decent will become a liaison between various industries by bridging the gap between the emerging blockchain ecosystem, that is promising in my opinion, the detail information can be found here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--1162392

For the long term I would suggest Ethereum since this crypto has proven itself enough, it will be around for a long time and is rather a low risk when you compare it to other crypto's

For the short term I still think NEO has a long way to go, see it as the Ethereum for Asia. Other companies like Facebook, Google etc. always have a hard time getting users in Asia. So I do believe NEO can become the Ethereum for China.

Other short-term crypto's I would suggest are omiseGO (OMG) a cool project based upon Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin is also very active in the development of this project, you should check it out.

For the really short term  I would suggest District0x (DNT). They just announced they are going to be listed on binance next week monday so they will prob. have a price increase by then. You can get some DNT on the liqui exchange.

For the long terms I'm holding OKcash, it's a promising crypto IMO with a active community behind it, it dipped a bit recently so felt it was decent time to buy so got quite a bit and am holding again. Apart from that I'd suggest NEO has a strong backing and it rose from literally nothing to close to $50. And ofc the OG BTC still remains one of the best cryptos out there to HODL!

what about Eth is it worth the invest.. the team is good what do u all think on it?
Many people will choose Ethereum as best, stable, and more officially than other cryptocurrencies. It's platform for other tokens.

i heard there is Eth and Eth classic... is there any difference on that
Yes, sure. Now these are different currencies, eth is an improved version of what is now called etc.
I think right now that is worth the investment of bitcoin if for long term investment. Except for trading maybe altcoin can be a good alternative.
True. It is hard to believe but bitcoin seems to always be a good long-term investment. No matter how high the price may seem, it goes up over and over again.

As for the investment - op, I suggest you to go on coinmarketcap, look at the first 30 coins in the list and, if you want to do trading, just invest in those coins which have their price decreased. At first you should look at the news, though. If some technical issues led to price going down - investment is a bad idea. If the coin has been recently going up crazily and now is down - perhaps it's better to wait as well. If the coin had quite a stable price and was slightly going up with time + now the price is lower - go for it!

ETH is a risky investment as it's already very high compared to similar coins. NEO is growing and will grow rapidly for some time. So, it could be a nice catch for short term.
