I think it will be wise to split your money to invest in both Ethereum and Litecoin. Both the coins have shown stability over the years and have the potential to make it big in the market.
Ethereum, being the second most popular crypto currently , has a market capital of $37 billion. Also, with its acceptance into big companies like Microsoft, Jp morgan, intel has made the coin much more promising investment.
Litecoin can be considered as the silver to Bitcoin's gold. Since its adoption by Coinbase, the coin has gained acceptance in many countries. Also, due to Segwit activation, transactions through the coin have been more speedier than before. Hence, you can expect good profits from the coin.

LTC, Monero, Nano, Cardando (ADA)

I think any altcoins can make you rich, it all depends on how much money you have invested and how much you are willing to wait

Your question is somewhat a challenge question. But we don't know what altcoin will make us rich. But one thing is for sure, it will be bitcoin. Not an alt but the king of cryptocurrency itself. But I can't not tell you that I'm rooting for NEO and ETH.

I want to say and I see a real future in NEO because it is very promising to generate revenue. But today is at the peak of value. This is not the best time to invest. I've long been a big fan and really think it can change the way we use the internet. This is a long-term investment, so if you are looking for money then it is not the right move but if you are happy to wait it has great potential.

The guy wants to invest only 500 dollars, which is not the best investment if you are speaking about Bitcoin. I suppose the better choice will be Stellar, IOTA and EOS. Do not limit your choice only to 1 altcoin.

Some are profitable, some are not and should be dumped.
 If you want to invest on a certain altcoin you should know its behavior so you can tell that you will earn more profit.

alot people are saying bitcoin but the op have just $500 to invest in altcoin. first we need to know how long you are planning to invest your $500. then I will suggest you do your own research and probably invest your money on coin with price less than 1$. XRP is good if you are thinking of a long term investment. IOTA, NEM are some other few coin which are cheap and can offer you good profit if you invest. for short term investment you may consider waves and probably NEO

If someone knew the answer to this question, I doubt they would stick around trying to answer this question in this forum. They would be partying like crazy into the night. The truth is that no one can say for sure which altcoin will make you rich op. Luck and smart thinking play a big role in determining if you will become rich or not. Do your research and pick the coin which you feel will blow up in the future. For me, it is Stellar Lumens all the way.

In my opinion, it is desirable to invest in crypto-currencies, which have been tested by time. In other words, the longer a crypto currency exists, the more reliable it is, because the crypto currency has proved that it can withstand hacker attacks

Personally, I believe in these coins they will be rich in future.

Ethereum is the one have a potential in the altcoin. Litecoin has a potential to because those altcoin is growing and raising but there’s some time that those 2 altcoin need to dump. They need to balance the market.
