I think that at the moment there is no such coin that could surpass bitcoin and I doubt that it will appear.

Ethereum who will be able to compensate for the prestige of bitcoin and be able to come back again like two years ago and my capital will start to recover a bit and there will be no big losses again..
No doubt Eth is the best altcoin of all time but in order to outperform Bitcoin, it would have to cover a long journey and this is because of the fact that Bitcoin has been more demanded and used than ETH. In addition, ETH has a market cap lower than Bitcoin and the pace of growth of ETH is not as high as that of Bitcoin which are the factors that negate what the OP thinks.

First I have never believed any altcoin is better or can be likened to Bitcoin, let alone predicting the one that will outperform it. Within this crypto space, I don't think there is any altcoin that will ever beat or outperform Bitcoin, as it is a coin on the lips of many thus being invested at all times.

Nothing like this will happen. Why did it occur to you that some altcoins can "outcome" Bitcoin? I suppose that Ethereum market capitalization will grow this summer, but this crypto will never get Bitcoin fame, popularity, power, and trust.
Some guys still think that Bitcoin cash can do it. No, it is hard to believe (for me) that this fork will exist for more than 6-7 years.

In theory, it can look like possible but in practice, it is impossible to beat the coin with more than 50% dominance level. Btc is king and unbeatable in my opinion. It doesn't matter what kind of solution project brings to the ecosystem but competing with BTC and ETH is not possible.

First of all to outperform BTC we need BTC to stop growing, do we really need it?
As for my thoughts, I see ETH is underrated and its price is really low for now, so this is the first candidate.
Also, look at chinese market, NEO or ONT could beat it

I agree on you. Ethereum is also rising but it cannot compete with bitcoin's performance today. Bitcoin has made a quite huge increase in the previous days and might skyrocket even more in the next months. They have both potentials in the crypto market but still differ when it comes to performance. Bitcoin has really gone far, to allow just any coin to surpass it.

Ethereum has a been a proven technology that people are using for real world applications. As a solid number 2 it is vastly under valued and can easily go up 10 during the next bull run. Keep some ETH to ensure you don't miss out

I don't see any altcoins outperforming bitcoin ever, but very possible if you are talking about profit gains. There good altcoins that can give you much profit than BTC. You just have to do your personal research.

I don't know if it can outperform btc but I like bitcore-btx. Their team is really hardworking. I've been watching it for a while now and it looks like it is ready to go up.

For me withe the look of things, I would say Litecoin because of its coming halving, apart from this Bitcoin will rule 2019, most of the IEO have being dropping off after their IEO and expect this to be the trend this year, most of this coin/tokens have no value they are offering and with the likelihood of more institutional investors entering the space, more money will flow into BTC

I do not think there is any altcoin that have the power to outperform Bitcoin, be it this year or years to come. When investors learns about cryptocurrencies, the first coin they always tend to buy is BTC, that is to say, BTC will continue growing and waxing strong.

None of the altcoins out there will be able to outperformed Bitcoin in any situation. We have seen this before and I don't think anything has changed. Bull-run can't even be possible without Bitcoin, so how will it be possible for any altcoin to outperformed it.

The question is probably rhetorical, because I don’t think that there are such altcoins that can really overshadow our main BTC project that is developing so successfully and will be developing further. Most likely there will be nothing of the kind.

Outperform in what way? Do you mean in price or takes over its crown ? If you are talking about the profit gains yea we will see that surely when altcoins start following the up thread price gain but if you mean taking over bitcoin crown that's not going to happen

Irrespective of the fact that there are many altcoins out there with good market value, good team and use case I still don't think there is any that can outperform BTC not now nor in the future.
