The first question is, what is the underlying technology behind these altcoins that will make it so valuable to outperform BTC? ETH is trying it's best but yet can't be likened to beat BTC. The truth is, there is no altcoin with the neccessry features or attention to outperform BTC.

There isn't any altcoin which can outperform bitcoin, neither short, medium or on long run (maybe just on the very very long run).
You can see the market always follow bitcoin: altcoins always pump if bitcoin is pumping, never the opposite. Altcoins always benefit from bitcoin, they need bitcoin doing well to be fine too. No one of them have potential to take bitcoin position. Although there aren't many absolute truths in crypto space, I take the risk of saying it's one of them.

no altcoin can outperform bitcoin, but if you are asking for profits, i can see Xrp, Eth and Neo to give best profits in bull run. Though some altcoin can give more profits than these but this is the safest coin to bet on as of now. Expect 10x in bull run from current price . DYOR

Well obviously none, you are talking about bitcoin here the king of the crypto no coin will ever outperform it or even come close to it, at least not for the time, if you are looking for advice on what coin to invest in in this summer than, you should put it in bitcoin, because most of the altcoins are just a long term investment and they take some time for the price to change significantly, and bitcoin is probably going to go big in the next few months.

I don't think that in the present situation, any altcoins have got the potential to surpass bitcoin in near future. Although, there have been some very good coins such as Ethereum, Cardano, Litecoin, Monero, and Neo.

I also don't think an altcoin can value more than bitcoin, but maybe an altcoin can bring more profit in short time than bitcoin, but in long time always bitcoin is the best option and will bring a good profit.

I don't think any altcoin can ever outrun BTC because bitcoin is the cryptocurrency that moves the whole crypto market with it so how would an altcoin outrun it. Ethereum has risen quite a bit but was never able to beat bitcoin in terms of its price.

If you think that it's possible for long term, stop thinking that there will be an altcoin that will able to outperform bitcoin. Why you just don't take bitcoin and think that it should outperform all of the altcoins in the market?

ETH will take a leading position again for altcoins after the BTC. Also, I think Binance Coin has a good chance to get a good position. It still has a huge gap between the current price and the possible one. Next one should be IOST and EOS. Both are good at dApp development. Oh, don't forget about the Tomochain, has some good activity recently.
For altcoins, there's no doubt for Ethereum as it is the 2nd top high rank in the market. As for Binance coin, they have their own network now but still needs more time to beat Ethereum if its aiming to be the king of alts.

For long term, a cheap coins has bigger opportunity to gain more profit than Bitcoin. Let's say Bitcoin price increased 50% in a year, these cheap coins can double or triple the price in a year. I can't mentioned one but I will suggest to pick a coin that has an active community and developments, also better for the team to be active on their personal twitter and talk much about blockchain progress.

Probably some obscure shitcoins, because they tend to be more volatile, so a sudden jump by 50% is not uncommon. But big names like ETH, XRP and EOS are in a very bad spot now, when Bitcoin rises, they always immediately fall, and usually recover a bit if Bitcoin doesn't drop, but this time the fall looks really bad. People are getting tired of alts, they see that they don't have fundamentals, only hype, so there are no safe bets this time. Better stay with BTC.

Altcoins doesn't really have the right tech to outperform the btc market. Most of the coins are either a fork of btc or some kind of shit erc-20 coin created out of thin air from a stolen code. Ethereum can be a good competitor for btc in terms of development, but considering the higher supply of the coin and the block reward the total market value surpassing btc would never happen.

Probably that stands with Monero too, they don't have a limited supply and after certain period of time the 0.3 XMR doesn't get reduced to support the miners. Dash seems to be a better alternative in terms of price and total market value while considering them with Monero

are you looking for short term or long term? because in long term there has never been any coin that could outperform bitcoin and there will never be any at least not for another decade.

if it is short term then it is impossible to predict because you want us to predict an unpredictable event called "pump" of an unpredictable choice! my best guess is that this time (like all the previous times) the record will be in the hands of one of the least known coins with a very small market cap and a small price somewhere between 10 satoshi and 0.1 satoshi and the pump will be around 10000%
