There are more than thousand of altcoins in the market but not every coin is so much stable because knows about more than thousand of altcoins is so tough.
We have to research about that thing to find the stable altcoin. We need to see which cryptos rate is more valuable and have to see about its rate ups and down. I think ethereum is most stable altcoins because it is standing on the second position of all altcoins. Its rate is very valuable and most of the people who knows about altcoins are knows this coin. Even we can say stable altcoin which are ranked into top 30 position.

CMC is the best spot to find good coins in the making. Also check out coincalendar.info and coinmarketcal.com for upcoming events. Top 20 are most reliable and seeing how BTC is making massive gains you can expect a few in the top 100 making massive gains as well. Just do your research.

For a stable coin price in cryptocurrency, I see it is ethereum. Since being launched in 2015 ethereum prices is very stable, i have certainly look at coinmarketcap. In contrast with bitcoin almost every time the price can go up or down.
I don't think ETH is a stable altcoin cause the price of ETH is increasing day by day. I think the most stable altcoin is Tether (USDT). LOL. Its price always is 1$. All of you are wrong cause you missunderstood the OP question Smiley). ETH, LTC, XMR,...are good potential altcoin not stable altcoin all the time Cheesy

Nothing is really stable in the crypto world.

But if you are looking for higher probability in terms of growth, you can look at Ethereum and NEO. Both are platforms that are enabling other currencies and coins to be launched. So as they get more popular, more and more coins are dependent on them and hence you can get relative stability

In cypto market volatility is the key due to which today everyone wants to have the coins. And yes as rightly pointed stability cannot be associated with this market as hardly their would be coins which would be very stable especially the top 10-20 coins market cap wise.

I would like to place money on ETH, Ripple, Dimcoin, Stellar which could make good rise in 2018.

Stability and alt coin has got no relation really. Instead of this
what we can ask is, which coins are worth investing for the long term
who has the unidirectional growth. This might read as very complex
statement but its not really. The stability of the crypto currency
would be when it is growing though it is getting disturbed with lots
ups and downs at different times. But this is very nature of crypto
currency and it changes according to investors investment really. So
as far as I know following are the coins which are showing continuous
growth in their prices and market cap off course.
The top three list of mine contain ETH, IOTA and XRP. Then I always
suggest the all new coin like SCL for the futuristic investment
followed by the NEM coin the next hot project ready to pop. :-)

The most stable altcoin is USDT. USDT is good for small profits taking when BTC runs too high or too low but never sleep on USDT because there are many rumours about its existence without real dollar backing.
Most of the top 20 alts are stable in terms of USD but XRP and XEM are more stable than others.
It's not backed by the dollar. USDT stand on its value. But look at how the hack case of the USDT gives the more clue if USDT was very ridiculous. It just like another paper money in the crypto form. And remember the developers have an ability to print or create the new USDT anytime. USDT is the only stable coin right now.
Yes, I agree with you. USDT is the most stable since it is backed by the dollar. But I think it is not a altcoin since the total supply is not constant and you do not know what it will be.

Well, bitcoin the king of all the cryptocurrencies. But there are a lot of good cryptocurrencies. Some of the most stable cryptocurrencies are Ethereum, Waves, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Monero and Dash.

Most stable to USD so far is USDT (that may change in future, of course). Stable to BTC? Dunno, maybe LTC is your best bet for that.

Then, how do you explain that the USDT is traded on the largest exchanges, if they are scammers?  It is said that Tether USDT has investors, bank accounts and regular audits.  I do not think that the management of Poloniex, Bittrex, Kraken and other stock exchanges want to go to jail by contacting Tether, I think they clearly saw that this is provided by real dollars 1: 1.  Tether does not want to disclose to the public, banks with which it cooperates, fearing the Government's pressure on these banks.

I like eth, ltc, neo, tenx pay, xmr, xrp and other high capped ones, do not fall for low value coins as they can dump quickly in value.
