Right, never gamble with debt. Those who take part in gambling with loans end up living very badly. Although there is no legal casino site in my country but I have seen locals in our country gambling by sitting on the roadside. They mostly participate in gambling by taking loans from people. I have seen people who gamble in such a situation, their families will be very poor and they end up living like beggars on the side of the road. That's why I say those of you who participate in gambling on credit, be careful now and never participate in gambling on credit. Participating in debt gambling is very bad and deadly. It is 100% true that debt will destroy you. There are also many other things that should be avoided while gambling.

The most important rule I follow is that I never gamble in front of my kids or any other teenagers. With time and experience, I know the good and bad sides of gambling. They don't, and there is a big change, if they see us gambling, they might get inspired to gamble. Which I think can have a bad impact on their future. Because they are still young and immature. Things one should avoid while gambling:

- Don't gamble if you can't afford to do it. There are a lot of people who think they can make a fortune with just $50 which might be their two weeks' household expenditure based on where they live. It doesn't work that way, there is a possibility for that to happen but the odds are way too tiny for you to risk the only money you have.

- Don't get greedy. If you've gambled and won some money, don't risk it to win more. People usually lose what they've won just because they think they can win more with it which barely happens.

- Don't chase your losses. If you've lost 30% of your total bankroll, don't use the remaining 70% trying to recover that amount by using strategies and stuff, you will barely get anything back but there are high chances that you will lose everything in no time.

- Don't be an irresponsible gambler. Always set your limits and follow them, have a daily, weekly, or monthly budget for your gambling activities and follow that budget, strictly.

I always avoid drinking alcohol when I gamble, now do not get me wrong I have nothing against alcohol and those that enjoy a drink or two, however when it comes to gambling even if you are trying to obtain some fun you need to remain as clearheaded as possible, and drinking alcohol or using any substance that clouds your mind is a big mistake, because if you find yourself in a difficult situation when you are gambling then it is more likely you will make a mistake and lose a lot of money as a result of your intoxication.

The is out of greed that people think that they will take the loan, gamble with it, make the money at least 2x, return the loan and keep the winning profits with them. Sounds interesting and easy, isn't? But in reality, this does not work in this way as most of the time, everything works well as per plan except for the winning in gambling.

You will get the loan, and you will gamble, but when it comes to winning in the gambling, you lose instead and all your dreams and plans vanish in a blink of a second and now you worry about how you will return the loan which you have lost in the gamble. No one tells us this side of the story.

Be realistic with your gambling goals and do not overthink that you will become a millionaire or earn a lot of money. Just be moderate with realistic expectations and you are good to go.

There are many things you should avoid doing while gambling, but I think OP has brought two of the main most important points, besides the golden rule of not gambling with money you can't afford to lose.

Indeed, it's not ethical, it's not professional and it's not honest with your boss, your company, neither with your customers. Of course people get bored quite often at work and may wish to gamble to relax and relief from stress a little bit, however the consequences can be very harmful for your career. Your boss and other employees around you will look to you in a very negative way if you gamble there. You will be seen as a sloppy and lazy worker, who will have difficult having access to promotions on your career.

Yes, never take loans to gamble, doesn't matter if it's from a bank, a friend or familiar. It's the recipe to accumulate debt and go bankrupt. Remember gambling isn't an investment, and loans are only for investments which will return you profits along the time. If you are going to borrow money, make sure you are going to put it into good use, into something solid and sustainable which will generate income for you, so you can repay the loan and still have some profit on your pockets. For gambling purposes you should only use money you would use for leisure activities.

However, it is not a good idea to gamble in a working area because one can easily get confused and lose more to the once he/she has already lost, although it is not avery good idea to gamble for profits because if a gambler tries to gamble just because he or she wants money, if the person starts losing his or her money in gamble then he will wants to try any possible means just to recover the loses.
Some of the things that makes gamblers lose more money in gamble is just because they thinks they can make living from gamble, which is a very terrible idea to partake.

not just loans, any money that you cannot afford to lose should not be gambled. a lot of people tend to fail on this and a lot of them tend to think that they can double or triple the money but end up just losing it all and putting themselves in financial trouble and probably incurring debt just to replace the money they gambled that they cannot afford to lose.

Every gambler must avoid these two things so they don't get into trouble after they finish gambling. Playing gambling while you are working is not a good idea because you will face serious consequences from the company where you work, which could give the company a reason to fire you. They will not tolerate employees who are not serious about their work and instead gamble, so the company will punish those who do not comply.

There's a lot actually but here are some that I think you should not do when you are currently on a gambling session.

1. Talking toxic drugs while gambling.
2. Over drinking while gambling .
3. Prioritizing gambling while others are asking you to do something important like not caring about a current emergency that you know you should help.

There are things that you need to work out especially if you care about profits or the purpose of you doing gambling. Always gambling responsibly.

Not sure if this was already but avoid playing if you are drunk, this will be a disaster waiting to happen especially when your fingers are fat. I think there is already a thread about someone who was drunk and he seems to have nothing to do so he plays in an online casino.

In the physical casino though they are offering liquors to those guys playing, I guess it's not such a big deal. It's to the casino's advantage to get their visitors drunk and enjoy being there while losing money. 

Gamble with time,  this is very important because our time determines every experience we are going to get from whatever ventures we go into and gambling has a lot of its own negativities and those negativities have affected a lot of gamblers who have failed to apply that time consciousness and what they allow themselves get exposed to at some point,  this is one way to check your gambling excesses and once you discovered that you are going overly too much,  then you have to draw a line and stop.

Another thing to avoid in gambling is the Greed factor because once you allow your greed to have a better part of you,  it becomes likely that you are going to lose more while gambling,  if the above aspects are put in place I believe that every gambler will have a safe and secured gambling environment.

 As an employer and I find out my employee is gambling using work period I can be so kind to grant you a one time grace never to reiterate the bad working habit of gambling at work, in a subsequent case I will have no choice but to send you home with a sack letter there you will have much time to

Using loan for gambling is a total bullshit, you used your personal money and couldn't win what's the long shot that you will get a win using loan money?

Additional list of things to avoid as a gambler:
1. Don't be on drugs or alcohol before and while gambling.
2. Don't use money that's meant for a meaning purpose for  gamble ( people are so greedy that they damn the consequences using contributions money put under their care for gamble later lose the money. Such habit can destroy relationships).
2. Don't make the gambling house your second home ( don't spend much of your time in a casino set a time limit as you do set a bankroll for yourself).

That's a grave offense you will get fired or you will have no chance for a promotion because you will lose your reputation, gambling on work is like stealing when you're at work the management expects you to give your undivided attention and full effort and they expect you to abide all their policy, not only you can lose your job, if they want to retain you, you lose your chances to get promoted on higher positions especially on something that deals with finances

This will break your finances it's like throwing away money because in gambling there's no guarantee of profit and loans are only for setting up a business or you have an emergency and you need urgent money, and if you used it for gambling it could be gone in just one sitting, so as much as possible avoid taking a loan for gambling.

Do not gamble with a cloudy mind. That's when we make mistakes.
I will make an example just to prove it.
Whenever we are losing like almost half of our balance we tend to make choices that are not easy to understand.
For me, what I do is put all the bets in, in Plinko I press the mouse unlimited in a fast mode. Like I am surrendering and just want to give the gambling site all my balances and telling myself they should take it all like they are crocodiles.
I keep on pressing the bet button without thinking about what comes next. That is not a wise decision because we are wasting money like we don't care for it.

If there are complications due to family reasons then gambling should be avoided during that time. Gambling should not be done with the money that could lead to major problems if lost. It is better to avoid such things while gambling.

Placing a bet on a game that we are not familiar with, of course we will not be able to understand the bet so it is very easy for us to lose in the game, playing a game that we have mastered will certainly reduce the risk of losing in the bets we play and also we can survive in the game we play.
