Here's mine
- Do not gamble to escape from your life's problem. Face whatever challenge is thrown at you.
- Do not gamble because you want to join the trend. You will lose money faster than the speed of light.
- Do not gamble when you are angry, sad or depressed. Likewise, do not gamble when you are too excited or overly happy. You are bound to make very poor decisions.
- Do not gamble with the hopes to become a millionaire in a few weeks or ever. It is not a get rich quick scheme.

Use common sense, don't gamble when you feel there's something bad or you don't like. You might not realize it during gamble, after you gamble you will realize it whether you spent too much or not. When you spent too much, that mean there's something wrong and you need to introspection to find the problem.

Yeah, gambling while performing your work functions is against the work ethic. It doesn't only lead to loss of manhours but it could reduce productivity. It will lead to distraction or loss of concentration which can lead to a reduction in work performance. Lack of concentration could also lead to costly mistakes or even industrial accidents. But if it is not against the work rules, it can be acceptable to bet doing free time or break. It will not be out of place to place or check a bet during break especially if you are gambling responsibly.

The number one rule in gambling is to gamble with what to have and can afford to lose. Gambling wins are not certain in spite of an accurate analysis or uncommon skills. Gambling is not a business that one can seek loans to establish or expand. If you don't want to be a chronic debtor gamble only with the money you have. Taking loans to gamble is a clear indicator of gambling addiction and such a person should seek professional or medical help.

Let me add that we shouldn't gamble because we are chasing losses. Gambling should also be avoided when one is sick or intoxicated by any substance. When one is busy or occupied with some important activities, gambling should be avoided because it could lead to costly mistakes.

For me, always avoid playing the game you're not familiar with. A common mistake for most gamblers as they don't know much about the game but still continue to try, resulting in an expensive mistake. Better to focus on the game you know more and have experience and build up a strategy using your experience.

Aside from that, avoid ignoring the bonuses given by the house. Gamblers should know the importance of the bonus money and how they spend it to know about its potential. Make it possible to be eligible for the bonuses, make use of it, and enjoy the benefits of your bonuses.

Don’t gamble if you are not feeling well! I learned this lesson recently that almost cost me a huge loss. People should avoid playing gambling no matter what cravings he is experiencing if he doesn’t feel well or not in the well physical mood because your sense of decision making will become dull no matter how good you are on self control during your normal condition.

Also playing while you have other things to do is on my list since this will make your attention divided that will give you confusion while playing which is very dangerous on gambling.

  Once you realize you enjoy gambling to much there are a few things you need to understand; gambling is not a physical addiction but a mental one and once you get wrap up with it there is no cure for it, there’s a clear dopamine release from your brain whilst doing it, the same chemical reaction that releases when addicted to watching pornography or taking drugs or even drinking alcohol. It gives you this rush of excitement and makes you feel good, at least in the moment and then you reflect on it and think… what the hell did I just do that for right? Actually, there are many other things that could be mentioned, but I think each player will need to realize whether that action is harmful to themselves and those around them. The suggestion that I would consider reasonable for people who are not addicted to gambling is simply to view it as a form of entertainment, whether offline or online. Don't expect to get rich from gambling games because the few people who are considered professionals in this field will not encourage people to play regularly. Perhaps because I live in a family with a tradition of gambling for many generations and witness tragic situations, I don't want to become an addict.

Avoiding alcohol while gambling is the most practical thing I could say here. People have different tolerance level but it remains a fact that drinking clouds your mind to some level. You need high level of concentration specially if you're into skill-based games. I guess it's more acceptable to be a bit intoxicated when playing slots or other luck-based games but that still affects your decision making.

do not gamble in front of children. that's something i've avoided since i first started gambling. this is because children are very easy to imitate the behavior of adults and gambling in front of them is quite stupid because they will see what we are doing and start to be curious about it, and in the end we will lead them into gambling where they should at that age they don't.

 - Don't think about winning but rather think about enjoying
 - Don't think about our problem, it destroys our focus
 - Don't be too emotional, accept whatever the results of our bets
 - Lastly, Don't think of gambling as our way of living

Might I miss some but these are the things I did when gambling as I think it was just solely for entertainment and fun.

I'm sure everyone already understands that never gamble at work or in the office because it will disrupt your work and damage your career, especially borrowing money to gamble, it is highly discouraged to use borrowed money to gamble because it will make gambling even more uncontrolled with risks. which is higher, especially when you experience defeat, of course having a lot of debt will never be good in the end.

There are many things we have to avoid when gambling because maybe everyone has a different view too and there are definitely those who have the same view in this thread, the point is never gamble if you are in an emotional state and never gamble if you don't have money, gambling must be with a calm heart also with money that is ready to lose, because gambling should be just entertainment, nothing more than that. 

Gambling is always risky no matter where or how it is played. It is very important for a person that gambling should be taken only for fun and not as a means of earning, so that gambling cannot harm or make him addicted. Both loans and gambling are very risky and if these two happen together it becomes more risky.  So one should never gamble with a loan. And if you gamble at work, besides causing problems at work, the chances of gambling losses are high, so it is definitely not a good idea to do either.

In simple word

Being responsible for yourself ~XD I think we all know these one is already being share a thousand time. All these is because most the time we are still think of our loses money and chasing the money.

Then, these problem came out.

Yes that's a big no if you are an employee but there are people who really don't follow that simple rules.

Although this is not advisable, for me, as long as I can pay the loan and I would gamble only what I can afford to lose, I guess it's okay.

We have different ways of managing our funds, and I believe what's bad is if we don't know how to handle our loans.

OP I believe topic of this nature have been treated here and if you use the search engine you could come across it but however, I would list some few things as I can remember. I believe some members might have already provided them but I would still list the ones I know and they are as follows;

Do not gamble with the mindset of making profit otherwise you will be disappointed with the outcome.
Gamble for fun and not being desperate to win.
Have a budget specifically for gambling.
Draft out your day and time set for gambling.
Do not chase loss while gambling as it results to possible addiction.
Do  not gamble in the presence of your kids or family.

I believe these little tips can guide you through a bit.

Do not gamble when you at work place.
Do not gamble with the amount of money that you can not afford to lose. That is why it is good for gamblers to gamble with little amount of money.
Gamblers should not continue to gamble after several losses.
Gamblers should stop gambling after he won some amount of money.
Gamblers should not see gambling as a way of earning money.

This depends on your type of work and how much gambling can impact your job. I don't see how spending ten minutes to place sports bet will affect someone working as backoffice staff in a servicing company whose job is routine and not pressing. For people handling critical operations that requires  high psychological focus, gambling may be discouraged.

This is the worst thing any gambler should do. There is high chance such funds will be lost. I have tried it several times when I was less experienced and it never always end well. Gambling should be done with spared funds, money one can afford to loose. No one can afford to loose borrowed funds (money they do not have).

To add to what you already suggested,  gamblers should learn to take a break after series of losses or after a major win. This is good for the psychology.

1. Gambling to earn money.
2. Promotions aren't always make the gamblers will earn money.
3. Gambling base on people predictions or gamble on a game that many people likes.
4. Gambling when high.
5. Don't take any emotion or under pressure while gambling.

I do gamble at work yet I think it is super bad luck when doing so by playing slots,at least that happened to me while I am not caring much about the amount of money my company pays me,they pay me the minimum amount to stop leaving the company not a cent more,it is a dream shatter,the salary is the drug they give us to stop following our dreams as they say,so I only not play at work because of bad luck.

I do in fact gamble at work and it is only to place sport bets,I analyse a bit and then place those sport bets in a short amount of time.As for the loan it is always the worse possible thing a gambler can do.

Let us discuss in this thread the things one should completely avoid while gambling. Here are some suggestions according to me :


1) Do not gamble in work area : It is not ethical to do so. Your employer is paying you to work for him for certain hours. If you waste these hours for gambling, it is a bad habit.

2) Do not take loan to gamble: Some young guys are so irresponsible that they take loans to gamble. It is a very bad move and can even produce life threatening conditions in future when loan recover agents knock your door.
