I sm mining either ETH ot ETC. I only have a single AMD7950 gpu and I find hashimoto dagger as most profitable algo. Am I doing any wrong?
What is hashimoto dagger this is just new to me according to google after i search is it a miner? or mining rig?
I just find it here that they are giving it for rent https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/hashimotos

Hashimoto Dagger is the Algorithm that ETH runs on. Just search with Hashimoto Algo and you will get some useful links on it. just google it

For the time being, the hashimoto dagger is the best to mine. But in a few days, the ZCach could be the best.

Correct, but if  you  have  s9 miners  with cheap electricity then for sure  you would reach roi in no time. One thing   problem on having these miners are   the maintainance cost  and considerations. Bitcoin mining  would do  if you have   enough money to put on. Today im  mining  ETH with GPU mining which is  somehow  a good  activity for me.

Agree, and it takes time to get your ROI. Me, I am mining using Nicehash on my pc. Its quite good,as I am doing it while doing my reports or others works. I just open it,and let it set aside mining. Just an additional earning though not that profitable if you focus on it.

Nicehash was quite good. But the fee is around 3%. So I usually mine the coins directly, without using it.

Hello,

I been away for along time, so much is changed and there is a lot of coin to choose from.

I'm looking for a promising and profitable coins, what do you recommend based on what you're mining/using?
Ethereum Making Pool but if you are going to mine bitcoin then you really should know everything you are going to do , S9 is best one but liitle more expensive with the mobo for mining is  MSI G45-Z77A for me but you can really make some research.

Mining bitcoin is quite difficult to get ROI if you have expensive electricity price. The miners will be useless in 6 months.

i am mining monero and Etherum right now but the price has to increase from the current situation since the prices has gone down lately and that is a bad thing for miners like me who are burning my system and electricity .

It is getting less profitalbe to mine these two coins now. The difficulty is rising very fast in the last months.
exactly since the price has gone down it is not a profitable way at the moment as well as the difficulty is rising very fast and if this continues i will stop mining pretty soon unless and until i add some hardware to increase my hash

ETH is not a coin, it is a decentralized world computer. POS is the natural way to go for this kind of project.
ETH POS should not be compared with some random bs coin POS, thats for sure.

ETH, because it will probably be worth a fking lot in the future.
Its like mining BTC in the early days.

I dont give a crap about the current price, my electric bill is an investment for the future and i can afford paying it out of my pocket.

If you cant afford doing that this game is nothing for you.
You must be able to see the bigger picture and not chase daily peanut profits.

If ETH fails i will loose some money spent on electric bills. If it goes where i think it is going i will make a small fortune.

if you really think so why not buying then? you will be rich in the future right? pos coin are bound to fail eventually, so it's not like bitcoin at all

I agree with this, pos coins  would  fail eventually and eth is  not the same  as  bitcoin  for me.  But well  we have  our own perspective on each coins  we  invest on. Mining  eth is somehow  good though because its  like you are mining   bitcoin back to the years  it was just starting  but  i dont  think this  would follow bitcoins path.

Longtime Bitcointalk lurker. Just joined to become involved in the community!

Mining Ethereum at the moment with around 167Mh/s ($0.05/kwh).

2x RX 480 Reference
2x RX 480 MSI
1x R9 MSI 390
1x R9 Sapphire 380X Nitro
2x R9 Sapphire 380 Nitro (Waiting for powered risers from China)

This increasing difficulty has really taken from my profits in the past few months.

Looking into GPU mining ZCash when it releases October 28th.

My hard drives are mining Burst at the same time my GPU is mining Monero.
I only get a few pennies a day off the Burst but its only a 200GB plot at the moment.
I'll add some more hard drives over the weekend and maybe get up to a dozen cents per day lol.  Shocked
