Monopoly, even though it always ended in a full on family argument.. haha The joy of board games, they sure the boredom and create havoc!
I love Monopoly or Catan. Both are good for strategy in their own way.

I used to play chess when I was younger but today it seems impossible to play it - only old(very old) folks are playing it while people of my age are spending their time on smartphones and playing stupid games or just reading facebook

My favorite board game is Risk. Really fun and you need to think strategic. Can go on for hours and set friendships on the line during the game.
I liked playing risk, haven't played it in a few years though.
