Chess and English Draughts are my favorite board games. They help me improve my decision-making skills. But when i was just a kid, my favorite board game was Snakes and Ladders. 
mine is monopoly, table tennis and chess. 
....Snakes and ladders.... classic still today can indulge into it.. multiple players can play good while long travels, camping.. don't need to stress too much just roll the dice and Karma leads you either up or down and you learn a bit about Being humble,Accepting the outcome,Handling emotions and most important of all Never Give Up and keep on rolling....

Risk is my all time favourite. With the family we like to play Cards against humanity a lot, although that is a card game. We used to play a lot of board games when we wdre younger, sich as Monopoly and Millionaire (not the who wants to be a millionaire game but a much much different game).
