But if you are the type that does responsible gambling, it won't be necessary to stop it cause the more you do it, the more experienced you become and some moment win either win or lose out on a game and this will guide you for future prediction purposes.
Normally, gambling is fun for many gamblers. Despite that, some people only gamble for the sake of winning money, but at the same time, they enjoy the fun that comes along with it. It's always difficult to stop something that you have become used to doing regularly, but just like you said, it can take time. But what I think can shift one's attention away from gambling is either a job or business, or maybe any career that the gambler is aware to be a better source of income for them. For me, I don't gamble as often as before, and the reason is because of my other day-to-day activities. Business is so demanding, just like my job, and I have to make some posts on this forum.
Yeah, there are gamblers who play for fun and to be entertained, and there are to win money. But this is based on my experienced, I suddenly stop gambling when many years ago, I suddenly lost my job and I don't have enough money to save in the bank to survived. So obviously, I will have to prioritized things with the little money I got in my pocket that time.
So I just quit gambling because of that circumstances, and then I try to apply as soon as I can to have money so that I can bring food in the table for my family. That is the only thing in my mind that time. It was a learning experienced for me though. When I was able to get back and start working, I suddenly lose my enthusiasm to play or at least minimized the budget for my gambling activities.
