I would rather consider to buy some good popuar altcoins or invested in ICO. Of course ICO is very risky bt in case of success you can multipy your investment several times. But do not invest everything in same ICO. Split your investment at least in 3 ICOs Good luck.
Is it possible to invest about 300-500 USD Gradually in an ICO? I'm planning to set aside a small amount per month..or does ICO investing require large amounts at once? I'm planning to buy menlo tokens and slowly invest in ICOs they list every payday if possible.
Try a solid project with a low market cap. With only USD 1000 I would want to take a little bit more risk, to have a chance at big rewards. Investing in coins like Ethereum or Bitcoin won't make you rich.

With 1000 you can afford to chose 3 or four coins more or less. NEO could be one, Bitcoin another and the other 2 could be new ICOs on the finance sector that seem more promising.

To be honest, when investing such a small amount I would never invest in Ethereum and Bitcoin. Your 4x in one year is not supported, and I do not think an ROI of x100 in 10 years is nonsense..
Agree. $1000 isn't enough. With the current rate of $440, how much ETH can you get with that alone is just 2 ETH, what would you do to that? Unless you're good at selling and buying back to accumulate more. If you are to hold for long term, buy at least a coin that you can own more than a thousand so that when a price goes 2x you doubled your money already. ADA would be good for its less than a dollar.
