If it's your first crypto coin investment even though it's a smaller amount you should still do the neccesary research on coins and pick one you see the most potential in. Treating your first investment like you would a bigger investment further down the line will give you some good insight that you might have missed if you don't take your first investment seriously.

Well the Goldcoin (GLD) team is currently working with Apple to get its iOS app listed in the Apple Store. That should give it a boost.

Plus it's an extremely stable coin in its fifth year of life.

If you really want exponential growth at this point you'd have to choose something more obscure, and accept that the most likely result is that your $50 turns into $0.50.

If you just want growth without an expectation of 10,000% returns, then go mainstream--BTC, ETH, LTC.

If you want to have one whole coin for it, you could take a look at litecoin.
It's at about 52 dollars at the moment, so very close to the 50 dollars you want to invest.
I know it's just some psychological thing, but many people want to have one complete coin.
Maybe because it's easier to calculate with it, too.

Since bitcoin now is dump this is a good time to buy and hold it until the price increase , if you dont know to do you need to practice how to trade and the best choice is BTC to have experience.

what do you expect 50 USD return to you? the easiest way is to buy btc and hold for a long term, if you want to earn huge profits, then you must do your own research and take a high risk

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bitcoin+earliest+price&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&dcr=0&ei=V4S6WefkBayk8wfI1JWQCA

I hear $1 buys you over 1000 bitcoins in 2009

now we have $50x1000=50,000 BTC

50000x$3500=£175,000,000=$175million

so $50 gives you only 175 million dollars

it is not that much to be honest Cry

a great start when you start to intend to include your money is an investment space. but for the amount of money you put in, I do not think it's a good supporter to invest. The amount is too small, and arguably not worth the investment. If you had 50$ on your bank or fiat, you can bought bitcoins then keep as long term, Trust me it is are best way.

I honestly don't think that the amount of the investment should affect what you invest in.

Sure, if you invest in an altcoin that's early on, you might see higher percentage gains, but you should really do the research and just invest in what interests you.

If you like btc, buy $50 of it; if you like eth, buy $50 of it.

That being said, XRP is really cheap right now and you could get a decent amount for $50. Some don't like how centralized it is, but I do think it will have pretty impressive growth in the future.
