I’m already done with diversifying; that’s been set from the start. Right now, it’s all about harvesting and reaping the rewards from holding this long. The acronym might help newbies and serve as a reminder for the seasoned investors, but at this moment, we need to focus on the bullish trend. It’s time to set our targets and decide what price we’re aiming for to sell off some of our holdings and lock in those profits.

The information isn’t bad or kind of outdated that it cannot be employed even now, but like you’ve said, it’ll benefit the newbies more at this point as most investors already bought and just waiting for the time to sell and take profit. This acronyms given to DECEMBER are a very big motivation even during the bear season and I’m sure it will help for those that gets emotional easily during the bearish period.

The month of December is just 30 days?
I guess we should be more focused on the long term than what would happen in a month.
I believe we Hodlers not trader
But there's nothing wrong in speculating and I  would support Bullish.

Being bullish is what is expected at this point in time for the bitcoin market. After a bullish momentum ending the November month, the December month ought to be more bullish and continue the trend hopefully till next year. The long term investment of bitcoin cannot be overemphasized after seeing how the trend of it has been over the decade, it has always ended the year of every cycle in a bullish momentum and this time around won’t be an exception to that. Speculation is part of the market and I’ll also support the bullish sentiment for December also.

Wonderful presentation @CryptoHeadlineNews.. Great acronym,, did you come up with it yourself?

D – Diversify: Explore different crypto assets, but Bitcoin remains king.

About that one..So let's say I call myself as an bitcoin investor but I am also investing on altcoins.. I think the proper term is crypto investor.. IMO, when I say a person is a bitcoin investor, it means he's focusing solely on bitcoin, and all he need is to educate himself about is bitcoin only. My justification is simple..  I believe altcoins are too risky, and it doesn’t make sense because we diversify to minimize risk, but investing in altcoins just increases that risk.
Not just that
Diversification isn't for asset that are positively correlated.
My personal to go on a portfolio is Bitcoin and Real estate (Land been specific though not quite divisible).

You mentioned a pretty safe way to approach this "diversication" technique..  I think its pretty normal not to put all eggs in one basket, it's very basic rule of investing, but I like your idea, as even if bitcoin has matured a bit, it's still considered a high risk investment, while real state generally is a low risk investment.

Most of them want to invest when the market is already up and high. They don't want to accumulate and go through the lower part of it which is the exciting part of buying dip. When they can practice that discipline of buying during the dip, they will develop that habit of being first in almost everything if ever they want to invest in some other things. But looking at that side of investing during the dip gives them the understanding that it's always the time which is best in accumulation. And those that have done that and are enjoying their profits now have gone through that phase.

And when people have the opportunity to invest they don't take it seriously and it when the price is now high that they want to invest, and that is like one of the unreadable things to do what is the essence of investing when it will not yield anything because for along will you even hold when from the beginning you have already buy at a high price and the thing most people focus on is not more than buying the dip and selling high because buying at a high price how do you even accumulate.

And people know the truth and they will neglect the truth and want to do what pleases them, they will end up wasting their money and there time because they had the opportunity to invest but they ignore just because they doubt the investment and when the price starts going up that is when they start picking intrest, just wait till bitcoin starts to dump they will lose intrest again.

And why some people are doing this is because they don't have the proper knowledge if they have the knowledge about this things, so it is better to encourage people to learn about investment before they start making decisions on when to buy.

BTC is sideways, BTC.d is down and altcoins are growing. This is a common scenario in any bull market and it is still repeating itself, so it is something to be happy about rather than worried about. I believe that in December and the first quarter of next year, the whole market will grow and that is also the biggest bull season that we are waiting for.

source: coinglass

If you look at the bitcoin trend you will notice that the last quarter has mostly been bullish. One thing to notice is that the December price trend is always similar to the previous month been November. Years where November is bullish, December also joins it and becomes bullish too, if it is bearish, the December follows suit, there is even an interesting fact that the price movement percentage for both months are similar to each other, except last year December which to me there was correction. So for now the best thing is to stick to the historical trend which means we are expecting a bullish December I respect to how both November and even October traded

You have the opportunity to buy the scarcest asset in the planet with a 99% discount, and you talk about "diversification" of "crypto assets"? To me, that means you don't understand bitcoin enough.

You do not have to trade your bitcoin for some short profit. I mean you can do that, but it's just silly. It's like buying Apple stock in 2005 at $1.50 and selling it at $1.90, completely overlooking at the opportunity to hold onto one of the biggest tech giants in the world.

Just do your job, whatever that is, and stack sats. Hold the sats.

Well, for the last five to six years, December hasn't been a great month for Bitcoin and the market. Five out of the last 6 Decembers, Bitcoin has been in decline in five of them, which leaves us with the thought that we might see some decline in the market this month based on how cycles have worked in the past. But then again, the market hasn't really been following the regular cycle pattern from the past because we have seen a lot of surprises from Bitcoin in this cycle. It almost reached $100k before the end of this year, which most speculators didn't expect.

Can Bitcoin surprise us again? Will it keep going up instead of declining and having a correction even in December? I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks. You talked about diversification; I want to mention that most people misunderstand this, and instead of buying altcoins with whatever liquid assets they might have, they go ahead and convert a portion of their Bitcoins and use that money to buy altcoins, which is a bad idea, IMO.

If one is already invested in Bitcoin and has nothing left to buy other altcoins, they don't need to do it necessarily. Diversification is good, but forced diversification is a bad idea.

B – Buy the Dip: Take advantage of price corrections to accumulate more Bitcoin.
This is what's the mistake of many. They don't buy on the dip, they don't buy on the bear but they do buy on the bull run.
This mistake by some, most of the time, is based on how traders want to take advantage of the bull market, not knowing when it will end; they rush in expecting it to keep on going up without understanding the fact that they might be entering the market when a correction wants to start in the market, and some might also not be very patient to wait till all those market days come and go before it can start pointing to the profit side.

The B = but the dip is not found in Bitcoin in the month of December. And all the two Decembers I have spent in the crypto market, I have not seen the dip. The year I registered in the forum, was the minimum dip I know and even at that bitcoin was on the rise. Because before December Bitcoin was running $16k - $19 and in the December 2022, it rises to $20+k and from there it has started rising till now so December is the month Bitcoin rises and not on the dip.
Those who have invested smile in the Month of December and January.

The acronym you created for December sounds beautiful, and it perfectly captures what every crypto investor should keep in mind regarding their Bitcoin investment journey, that one needs to remember to diversify their crypto investments, educate those around us about the importance of cold storage for Bitcoin assets, and regularly evaluate our portfolio from time to time, to maintain a positive outlook and practice patience through market volatility, or consider buying the dip when opportunities arise. It's important for us to avoid negative news about Bitcoin and to keep our price targets in mind when deciding to sell our Bitcoin holdings.

By following the plans mentioned above, I believe we can pull through our Bitcoin investments effectively, by minimizing the risk of regret or loss of Bitcoin investment.

I don't offend you, but I think it's best to let December is December.

Don't try to input or extropolate the month word December to anything else, because December was not born for any meaning you want to attach. December itself is not an abbreviation, so if you try to attach some other words to each of December characters, it's too reluctant.
Though everybody is entitled to their opinion, but just like I earlier said, I see nothing wrong with trying to attribute a meaning to the different characters of an already existing word of the English dictionary that suits our Bitcoin/crypto community. It's called innovation or creative thinking. Thanks 🙏
Appreciate the effort into thinking of these. I also do understand what you are trying to say here. I guess if I were to just give some comments to make it improve is that it should be the same kinds of words so that it’s easier to remember. If you are going to use a verb for one letter then use verbs for all letters. That way it is a lot catchier and easier to remember since it follows a single concept.

It will also help if we can do something of chronological order. Again easy to remember and may even help beginners.

That's catchy and you did a great job in there. December means a lot to many investors of Bitcoin because it seems that this is where we're getting another new ATHs. I think it all started in 2017 or it was just me because I've witnessed that BTC hit $20k that year. Maybe this year, it's going to be different and we're all going to like that because we're aiming for $100k.

Although like always I disagree with associating certain market movements with certain months in a year but I generally liked your thinking and the images you used (AI generated?), they look cool. The definitions you used for each letter are all good suggestions as well. Except this one:

D – Diversify: Explore different crypto assets, but Bitcoin remains king.
Diversification is when you have assets that don't move with each other and aren't affected by the same things. When you have bitcoin, buying altcoins that get dumped each time there is movement in bitcoin price won't make it diversification. Altcoins are like the more riskier and less profitable (in long run) version of bitcoin.

True diversification here would be buying assets like gold, stocks, etc. that don't move when bitcoin moves and vice versa.

December could be a good month to accumulate. After seeing a few price pumps in November, we are seeing a bit of a dump in December. The train may leave the station again this month, but I have been thinking lately that December could be a good month to buy.

We may not see any major price changes for Bitcoin this month. Since December is a month of enjoyment, it may not be a good month for Bitcoin. But an investor may find a good opportunity to buy this month.

I don't know anything but surely I can feel that this time December might be a good month for Bitcoin community. The November played a very important role in taking Bitcoin's value above $99k and now it's December's turn to play its role and make Bitcoin more valuable.
Investors must have wider view, wider than only a single month, depsite it is a most bullish or bearish month in Bitcoin history in either average or median. No signle year is the same as past years, and this December 2024 can be similar like past ones or very different, we can not know how it will end.

View with bigger vision like yearly candles, and we can see a more comfortable picture for our investment future.

Santa Claus day and days around it, seem to be not good ones for Bitcoin market.
Bitcoin price history -- most profitable and bloodiest months, days. Massacre can happen this year too, but it can be different and people must know "This time is different" is one of biggest lessons in financial markets.

Doesn't need to be December to apply these practices though. Everyone as much as they can apply it all the time.

What you should probably center the topic is on the price, pretty much the only thing most investors care about anyway. Personally, I'm satisfied with closing the year with the current price that we have right now and just let anything crazy supposed to happen, happen next year instead. We've had enough crazies just last month, let December rest please Tongue.
