I have been experiencing some financial difficulties due to the inflation I explained my situation to my friend about plans on how to secure my Investments since I'm already used to the character of saving but have little knowledge of bitcoin and investment in it and my friend introduced me to bitcoins and this forum I'm really glad to be here please what must I know?
Inflation is a global phenomenon, but there are some situations that the inflation rate is higher than the normal inflation of a country such scenario are war, high level of demand/scarcity of a good (s) and other disasters.
Investment is the best business ever in everyone's life. A man without Investment is like a failure to his children. Because when he has passed on the children have to take over from where he has stopped.
Saving money in one's custody is one of the dangerous thing in life. Even you that own the money will not sleep well. Because you will be thinking of arm robbers and others unrest things in mind.
There are lot of things to be Known. Read the rules in any forum you are visiting and abide on the rules then you are good to go.

Have gone through most of the comments and I can say I have gotten alot of advice and steps on how and where to start from or go about it.
That's a great move, if you've read and responded to some of the suggestions from the more junior forum members here.

I'm sure you here can start and end well, this forum has good information and developments that you can learn especially about crypto such as Bitcoin, investment, trading, Meta, exchange and so on, the bottom line: you have to have faith and willingness to learn well, to be honest we were the first to come here, also have the same experience and things as you, with persistence and willingness we want to learn, so that we can achieve what we want especially about crypto investing and trading.

It has been really helpful, and I just want to say thank you to everybody.
Welcome to the forum, feel free to ask more questions in case you become confused. I can relate to your story, and it is a good place your friend has introduced you to, he has also put you on a path to financial independence with him/her introducing you to cryptocurrency instead of helping you temporarily with money which would have been good also but sadly a temporary solution to your financial problems. That is an example of the type of friend to keep.

A good example to consider is the fact that hardware wallet providers have been breached in the past, leading to emails, names and addresses of their owners made available on the internet for the delight of scammers and whatnot.

If one can make the purchase physically in a reliable shop (i.e. official reseller - which may likely be impossible in many geographical locations), it is certainly something to ponder, as he’d avoid leaving any data behind, especially if the purchase is made in cash. That does not rule out needing to perform the necessary tamper checks, which is something to do regardless of where it was bought.

Do not buy a hardware wallet from a store nearby or an online marketplace, make sure you order the product from their official website, either Trezor wallet or Ledger wallet make sure it's coming from them officially.

While generally it's good suggestion, take note some hardware wallet including Trezor and Leder have official/authorized reseller[1-2] (whether it's physical or online store). You also could avoid high shipping fee or import tariff/fee depending on where you live.

Welcome to the forum, I think the users above me already mentioned the first thing you should about the which Is you should go true the forum rules.
Since you said you are used to character of saving, I will tell you their is difference between fiat saving and bitcon, if you are saving fiat your savings those not increase or reduce, but when you come to cryptocurrency their is always volatility, after investing in bitcoin don't be suprise if you see your money reducing, I think most newbies always have wrong mindset before joining cryptocurrency, they believe immediately they invest, they are already in profit, but bitcoin is not like that, you can invest and still be at lost, but we should always learn to Hold.
Also make sure you avoid altcoins if you want to have rest of mind, the best project which I will recommend for you is bitcoin, since you are used to savings, then am sure you will be able to hold.
In Cryptocurrency space, scammers are everywhere and scammers are coming up with with new strategies just to defraud people daily, since you are newbie they are always targeting people like you, my little advice for you is that don't trust anybody you meet on social media, and don't share you private key with anyone, don't let anybody brainwash you.

Just make sure that you read the rules of Bitcointalk in order to not get banned from the forum. I believe that this forum is a good place to learn about cryptocurrency and ask anything you want. The forum is divided into various tech and non-tech categories, so there's plenty to choose from. With that said, don't be afraid to throw your own hat in the ring with a new post from time to time. It's a great way to make your voice heard on subjects you feel strongly about, and some good exchanges often develop as a result. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, as those most often make for the best threads. There are plenty of friendly people on the forum who are more than willing to lend a hand as you navigate your way through the world of cryptocurrency for the first time. Good luck, and happy posting!

The most important thing is that the forum rules must be obeyed, it is one of the important things so that discussions in this forum remain orderly.

Came to this forum wanting to know more about Bitcoin knowledge I know it's a good way people around this forum will give some advice and maybe a resource where you can learn about Bitcoin, maybe here https://learnmeabitcoin.com/

If you have a character that saving is good and can be implemented in Bitcoin with several strategies maybe by doing DCA (Dollars Cost Averaging Bitcoin) it will be much better for you to invest in Bitcoin and be able to accumulate it.

About some other guides maybe this is important for you as a beginner to learn it. > Beginners & Help Encyclopedia

I have two advice for you which are;

1. Try your best to learn and learn as much as you can before you think of to earn from the forum.

2. Avoid plagiarism (copying other people's work, passing them as yours without referencing them), so that you will last long in the forum.

Hey, welcome to the community. There are a few suggestions already about the forum and rules. So these will help you to learn more about the forum. Regarding Crypto investment, just don't over-expect and don't try to become wick rich at all. Always avoid greedy offers if you found, first share them with the community before you lost funds anywhere. Always you will get the best suggestions from the forum. Be very careful when choosing an altcoin to invest in rather than Bitcoin. Understand the market very well before you invest a big amount. Invest that you can afford a loss, Bitcoin market is highly volatile and you may lose a lot.

The inflation right now really really has a bad impact on the economy of many people, I'm sorry for what your country is going through.

since I'm already used to the character of saving but have little knowledge of bitcoin and investment in it and my friend introduced me to bitcoins and this forum I'm really glad to be here please what must I know?
it is good if you ask like this from the start. @passwordnow has given the best thread for you to learn from the beginning, many are lazy to read it, the important thing is not to make spam posts, burst posts, threatening posts, or plagiarism posts because it is absolutely prohibited in this forum, the sanctions you can receive are a red flag and your account is banned from this forum.

keep learning because all members in this forum are like that too, good luck!

Welcome on board. What will help you in your cryptocurrency journey is having knowledge but in this forum, the one thing you need to know is that rules and regulations are the number one priority on this forum.
Read this user fillippone thread that was created to teach the average Joe about Bitcoin

Since you already have the character of saving, that means holdling bitcoin for a long won't be difficult for you to do. Your friend knows how beneficial it is to have your assets stored in bitcoin that's why he introduced you to bitcoin and the forum, at least to have the necessary knowledge about crypto investment.

Have in mind that crypto is not a get-rich scheme. Don't invest in what you can't afford to lose. The Crypto market can go soar within a twinkle of eye
Yes, it will be easy for someone that has character in saving to have the needed discipline to hold cryptocurrency for the long term. However, I will advise the OP to prioritize his/her investment in Bitcoin which will always be the safe haven in the cryptocurrency market.

First thing to know is the rules. Rules are all that keeps it toegthee here and should you wish to last as long as you would want and the forum exists, it would be in your best interest to keep the rules.

Secondly, its best yo have it at the back of your kind that this is a learn by discussion platform. You could also learn by just reading but, participation actually puts you out and you don't need to push it or force it to be involved. You just do your best to do you so lo g as its legal and hope that the community finds you interesting.

Thirdly, bitcointalkforum isn't an avenue for money making although, you can make some spare income outhere. Just see it as an addition or reward for adding to its content and the world of cryptocurrency.

The only thing I think you should know is be careful with the choices you take on the cryptocurrency space. If you have money to invest into cryptocurrency as a newbie the market is bearish and loosing money now is at high risk. I'd advise you to think of a business to start under cryptocurrency niche. It could be a site or products and services. These are long term investment with lesser risks compared to the risk involved in buying and holding crypto especially for a person who is not used to the market fluctuations. Think and research about businesses available on the cryptocurrency niche and note those which you can handle and start with them. It takes time but, you could become another CZ In the next 3-5 years.

As many other comments said you have to read the rules of bitcointalk so you won't get banned temporarily or permanently.

But apart from this, I am glad to say that here you have thousands of other friends from all around the world so this can be a great opportunity to learn what to do and not to. I won't really advice you to go deep into the technical knowledge of bitcoin now but getting into the basics may get you to believe stronger and more convincing like what is proof of work, Blockchain technology, elimination of third parties while transacting, etc.

Keep learning, spend time of reading the threads which you like and make comment if you has something to say and ask any queries if you have any like this thread but don't forget to use the search button. Wink

Own a hardware wallet. That's my very first suggestion for anyone thinking to save cryptocurrency for the future. It's very much necessary to ensure the maximum protection of your investment and that's why you need this so that you don't get your BTC lost someday. You can try Ledger Nano, Trezor, etc but make sure you always buy this from the official store of their own. Don't buy from any third party.
Won't that advice be like an overkill for someone who's still struggling with their finances? I think it is. Talking about getting a hardware wallet so one doesn't lose one's Bitcoin, I would say even at that one can still lose one's Bitcoin stored in it. The security of our Bitcoin depends largely on us than on an equipment. I don't think it will be an issue using an Electrum wallet as a beginner.

Crypto is unlikely to do well as a hedge against inflation immediately if you live in a country with fairly low levels. If you're in a country with high levels, investing in stablecoins like usdc, dai or usdt can provide good stability against the dollar but might come with some risks.

I wouldn't recommend investing in bitcoin with more than you could afford to lose or going straight into a discipline like trading because you might get discouraged and just leave if the value of your investment seems to fall.

Bitcoin and other cryptos are a good method for accepting payments for goods or services if you have hobbies that are marketable or can work to maintain a hedge against inflation.

If the reason for joining the forum is purely economic reasons, it is better to wait, learn for several months, and then invest in Bitcoin, as the price may remain at these levels for the next 6 months, and therefore learning is your best weapon.

With regard to investment, after learning the economic aspects, then must learn the basics of security, and if you intend to buy in large quantities, it is better to buy a hardware wallet.

The details are many and cannot be listed, so start and then you can ask a question that you do not find an answer to.

If you plan to invest in bitcoin, I advise you to first carefully analyze all available information and think carefully before making any investment decision.
The crypto market has its own rules, it's very volatile and high risk, so if you don't know what you're doing, you can easily lose money.
I advise you to only invest money that you can lose, to make an investment plan in accordance with your financial capabilities and to have a clear exit strategy.
Good luck with your investment!

Welcome to the forum mate.

@passwordnow has already provided you with links that contains rules and regulations governing the forum and also how to go about creating a wallet

First thing before purchasing any coin is to create your own wallets. The forum actually advices you to create this wallets by yourself because one's there is a third part involved then he might have access to your funds. Exchanges are not advice to store your funds because of there centralization. Hardware wallets are adviced.

Since you said you love saving then I can only suggest bitcoin to you although it also has its bull and bearish periods but its way more secure in terms of the risk than other altcoins. Concerning informations on the forum please scrutiny do your research. Do not trade solemnly based on the advices giving here.

Once you are having issues or questions just feel free to ask, there are knowledgeable people that randers answers for free here
