I think investors have lost complete trust in Intial Coin Offering(ICO), and this is because of the numerous disappointing ICO's of 2018, It became even more evident because, after the coin get listed on an exchange, the coin they invested in drops into very low cost and hard to increase especially with the bear market situation, while some others are just total fraud pojects, fraud team, and total scam.

You can compare the part in the ICO to the casino. You may be lucky and get a good profit or you may be disappointed in the whole industry. Invest but do it wisely.

The rise of ICOs took so long time for development and it has been outdated by a new wave of next IEO model. Investors don't care about the name of the token sale but the main points are quality, profit, less riks and more. Altcoins dropped due to cash flow by investors from altcoin markets to the top cryptos.
this is the main reason why mos new project are going and planned to do IEO campaign than ico campaign, because people are not trusted in personal/direct ico campaign anymore, they are to tired by many scam ico

I don't invest in icos. I simply decide to trade or hodl them depending on how good or bad they perform in the markets. The problem with ICOs is that they tend to give to bonuses to their investors who are bound to dump those tokens in the near future, once they launch on exchanges. Also, a lot of projects have very bad marketing teams. Let's be sincere here, a project with bad marketing is bound to fail. most projects that succeeded in the markets now where hyped. No matter good a project is, it will still not get its rightful place in the markets if there is no hype around it.

What I think about ICOs is that only those that truly want to use the tokens and those that are willing to invest long-term, should buy into ICOs. It would be a really bad idea for someone to buy into an ico, hoping for short-term because they will most likely not get it.

Most investors ( especially the large ones) don't invest for short-term gains. they would have done large research on a project before investing in it. a good idea would be to target the projects where those large angel investors put their money. that way, we can be sure that we are putting our money in a place that has been proven by great investors.

As an investor who has experienced many failures, in my opinion, ICO is very risky compared to the previous one, so we have to be more careful and not reckless in making investment decisions because most ICOs cannot give us an advantage even the opposite.
ICO is more dangerous in recent times, almost the general opinion of investors is that we should not continue to bring money into ICO projects when the success rate is low while losing money is the majority, and although I don't invest too much in ICO but I have eyes, I see what's happening to projects, and I agree with this idea. Unless the number of projects has improved quality and listed on exchange, if not, I think ICO will soon become a dead land when investors are having a big gap with it.

I don't know for sure the purpose and reason why new coins or new tokens after listing on the exchange are depreciated by more than 50% or not according to the prices included in their roadmap. but I think investors certainly know what they have to do with their investments.

Not to mention the fact that ICO is simply dangerous, it is also too long. In the current market, no one is worried about the future of technology projects, everyone is thinking about speculation. Quickly buy quickly sell thereby obtaining a profit. Therefore, ICO is not the best option for investment today.

Dear investor!
I have never invested in any ICO. I saw that most of the token / coin after being list on exchange was depreciated by more than 50%. Are you disappointed or all of that is in your plan ?
Thank you!
I have never invested in any ICO projects because I have seen the results of those coins in 2018. everything is dead and until now, ICO projects do not have support. Support of IEO and exchange is still a bad project and not worth investing.
I recommend that you do not invest in ICO projects, no matter how high the bonus is. all will come at very low numbers.

Investing in ICO needs a lot of understanding from investors like the direction of the project, the team, the adviser, the amount that has been called for. Currently, the IEO trend does not require investors to search for many things like that, but also make a lot of profit if buying token
Now, with the advent of IEO, it will be much easier for investors to select projects for themselves because the exchange will make the main analysis

if I see now ICO is now rare or even very rare because maybe the investor's money depends very long, and ICO is replaced with the IEO which is now a trend in every market because it directly enters the market that is holding the IEO and I rarely see losses to investors

even though it's not in the plan, investors will certainly think about it all before making an investment and they have also set up more funds to buy tokens when prices fall on market

Not actually on plan but expected to be turn out like that. You know results are rarely to find some adequate solutions for that. I guess traders knows this already.
you're right, traders take advantage of that. but what about investors? they believe in the long-term project development. but if there is no development project it will make a loss for them. or some investors mostly sell their assets in advance of the first time listing in the market.

There are many investors are invested in the ICO when it came in 2017 and most of the ICOs are also legit. But after this year in 2018 maximum ICOs are came fake. So, now to tackle this and win the investors heart the new projects are coming with STO and IEO but very few ICO are coming. So, before investing the ICO do proper evaluation. But, I have never interested in ICO. But I invested in ICO in the year 2017 is only two ICO and that was legit.

Investors should not invest in ICOs unless they have done their due diligence about them, they need to understand that 9 out of 10 ICOs are scam. These days it’s very easy to write a white paper and con investors hence it’s important to find more details about the owner, and their past experiences regarding ICOs. @Dpat it’s sad to know that you invested in scam ICOs, I hope people will learn from your experience and not invest in ICOs.

We will learn from our experience of course, and my experience in ICO is not bad, I've been an investor and bounty hunter at the same time, I have not gain from ICO lately, so now it's bad. Maybe moving on is very important, we don't stick with ICO now when there's IEO which is growing.

I guess many investors suffered loss from most ICO they invested.
And now peoples will choosing IEO than ICO, only a good ICO with a good team and project will attracting investors.
Disappointed or not, investor must be able to afford some losses in their investment.

previous one ? whats that previous one your talking about ?  . its normal for an investors to experience many failures on  thier investment but at somepoint of thier lives , they should have recovered and earn more than thier losses  . yet , its not normal anymore if you are still kept on loosing . if thats the case then you should change or find a career rather  . ico is verry risky but there are more riskier investments out there such as pyramid schemes , networking  ,etc..
