This thread was posted last September 2018 and around that time, ICO's are mainly no longer trusted by investors already. I would've said yes if I haven't known how scary ICO's but it's 2019 already and there are other fund raising ways that are safer for us investors. IEO's (Initial Exchange Offering) provides you better security and the ability for you to see what you invested at. I saw some good IEO's that sold out their first round very quick and those are the ones that has potential.

As for the prices once it hit exchanges, sometimes you need to wait for some project to get into a level where their mainnet has been launched, etc. for the actual price to go up. So only invest in projects that you believe in and hodl!

I think many disappointed now on initial coin offering or the ICO because of some consequences, after the coin being listed on an exchange, the coin that they invested, it drops into very low cost and hard to increase especially with the bear market situation. Many investors now also lost their trust on ICO because some of it are just fraud pojects, fraud team, and just a scam.

It all balls to the fact of researching well and deep into any project before you partake in it. most tokens depreciate even more and more than the ICO price and it only takes a well defined team to put up strategies to bring the price up. so before investing into ICOs, research well about the investor and team behind the project. Also, depreciation right after listing is a means of acquiring more tokens only if you trust the project that the coin will definitely rise. So I'm not disappointed at all because that is always in the plan.

there are some who no longer trust ICO but there are some who are still waiting for ICO to recover.
so every investor has their own opinion and I am personally quite disappointed with the results of the current ICO because it is not as good as it used to be but I am sure if this will change.

Due to the emergence of a lot of scammed ICO projects in the latter days of 2018, most investors do not invest in ICO projects. 2019 presented IEO as a most reliable method and option for investors to invest in the crypto space. IEO was introduced to solve majority of the problems faced by ICO regarding scam projects and investors loosing their investments. Currently, about 90% of investors do not invest in ICOs.

It is my strong belief that a lot of investors are frustrated with the current ico hardcaps in light of the fact that a considerable lot of ico prices have dropped significantly when listing in exchange, being quiet is the most ideal approach to manage the present circumstance and trusting the crypto market will improve and rise so ico price will keep on rising.
However it is better to play it safe and avoid the ICO market for now and only invest in fully vetted projects

In.my opinion, I would say that investors are now thinking otherwise about ICO. The joy and interest they developed about ICO has diminished drastically and this is affecting ICO negatively.

investors certainly know what they have to do to make a profit, but unfortunately investor confidence has really diminished in ico. they think of looking for other solutions or other alternatives in investing and don't want to take losses at ico again.

ICO in recent time has lost confidence of investors as a result of scam project in the crypto currency market. I have invested before in ICO and lost everything so I have put on hold for now about ICO investment.

Because the market is in a bad situation and also fraud cases are rampant, many investors are considering investing again in ico. maybe not entirely, but some of them are more interested or switch to the IEO, for several other reasons. including smaller IEO risks than related ICO (fraud cases).

Im dissapointed tot he ICO since last year but the year 2017 and the previous was not. Most of the token or coins who being listed to the market are decreased the value easlity and that is not my plan my only think is to earn money and once the ICO successful and listed the coin I wait more months before I convert that only more people sell their token why the price decrease.
