This is an old debate, hehehe, but for me, right now I'm a old head and I wanted to use my desktop or laptop more often. But currently, I'm leaning towards playing on my mobile now, I don't know maybe I was influence by my wife because they are now playing all online and they are having fun with it.

So I'm just curious as to what is the buzz all about and I found out that they are playing slots the other night. So I immediately jump on and deposit some and play the game. But I get tired and hand it over to my wife to continue to play. And then the next night, I still continue to play with the same capital because we didn't lose everything. So maybe I'm addicted again but this time playing slots on mobile phone now.  Grin

As long as you've downloaded that app from a reliable source or their website, it is very safe. I think most gambling websites make their own apps for a better user experience since there are some issues with others accessing it through browsers, but still, if they have an app with a good review and no bugs, I would use it, but if it is still in the development stage, I will use my own browser to access their website.
There's also a psychology on it that they only want the one used by them if they're on their app. There will be no distractions and they will only be focused on using their app.
It's a good strategy for those casinos that have apps but actually, the best experience depends on how gambler sees their gaming experience whether it's in a browser with a desktop or using through an app phone.

using a cellphone is actually much more interesting than using a desktop, both browsers and applications, because people nowadays want the convenience of playing casinos wherever they are, I think using a browser on a cellphone is much safer than any application.
I agree with you there because sometimes casino apps do have problems which I won't explain or give an example compared to using the browser and mobile browser have a feature where you can visit a website to display much like the same as how desktop display the website after loading when you access the site and that is called desktop site. It's up to you if you turn it on or stay as it is which is off (default setting). Though many won't use it as it is like a desktops view and viewing it is not very comfortable or convenient when using desktop site feature on yoir mobile phone's browser. Rather use it as it is and I only use desktop site when I want to see how exactly viewed when you are using desktop and that's all. Anyway, casino apps that are downloaded from other site is quite suspicious if that's what the casino did rather than the casino itself provide the file or the download link of their app.
As a veteran gambler, I think casino applications have their drawbacks. Carefully get programs from trusted sources. I like browsing casino websites on a browser or mobile device rather than downloading their app. I can use the desktop site option to visit the website and figure out how it works. Each gambler decides whether to use the desktop site function.

Use the casino's app or website for security. Snatching software from other sources can cause security difficulties or scams. Being a smart gambler, I always investigate gambling apps and websites and use reliable sources. Gambling responsibly and having fun is what matters most.

Based on what I tried, using their browser would be better because we can get rid of bugs and technical issues compared to their apps where unexpected bugs and crashes usually happen. I certainly agree that we must download from reliable sources because, to be honest, scammers are also creating fake casino apps so we have to be careful. Basing on reviews wouldn't be enough because scam apps also create fake paid reviews just to make the app look legit so being skeptical is necessary.

Do we still need this conversation for this much long? Every casino website is optimised for mobile browsers too so there os no big difference between the user experience however the reason why most people uses their smartphones to bet because its always accessible unlike desktop we have to sit there and need to click and lot. Bigger screen gives more details so less chances for making any errors so both have its pros and cons.
All of them or there might be some still not having that mobile responsive transition if ever it is been accessed via phone but in todays standards then it is really just that normal to be on that way.
It is really just that there are platforms which do make out that dedicated app for overall good user experience rather than on playing it alone on a web browser.

Its true that when it comes to comfort then mobile phone is the best yet we could play whenever we want or what position that we are really that preferred.
You could also accessing sites on a few clicks and swipes but its true that it is really that prone to errors considering on how small the screen is.

Given both advantages and disadvantages, then the end decision maker is the gambler who will use the devices and with how the topic is moving forward, there are many opinions and different overview or insights in terms of taking what will be their takes. More on how they can use the device and continue playing.

Either you are inside your house/room or you are outside, but the needs of playing will be depending on your lust to play and what device is available for you to use.

indeed some gamblers who use casino applications to bet, they usually feel more comfortable and safe for the same reason.
even though sometimes the casino application is not downloaded from the official site but through an unknown site and it is very vulnerable to carrying malware.
if you think about it, it's more comfortable and more fun to gamble through an online casino, where all the pictures or buttons are complete, as well as a very good gambling experience is available at online casinos.

this is also what concerns me, some online gambling sites have their application but I never want to install their application because I am afraid that there are still many bugs in the application

So every time I play online gambling via a smartphone, I prefer to open Chrome and just play on their site rather than on the app

in sports betting we have no constraints to gamble with mobile because we only have to determine the number of bets and pick the winning team.
Not really, I don't only have to determine the number of sports bets because before choosing and select in what I want to bet, I must search and know potency, strength, and weakness which I can't do it with a phone. Also, I tried multi bet in past which I think hard to know if I choose the right of my bet on my phone. So, from my experience, bet using the phone is effective if we already know all about the information and play a single bet.

For gambling is always better the PC, but sometimes we aren't at home and still nice to have the Phone option to place some bets. Let's say you are at a party and is a UFC night (Like tonight :p) and your friend in the party decides to put the Fights on the screen... You have $200 in balance in your favorite casino and it allows you to bet from your phone on the responsive UI.

With a responsive design, you don't miss the experience from the casino out of home, and that's a big +1 for the Responsive design.

I think most people nowadays who owned smartphones have phones built with decent specs or if not, should be above average and can fully run any gambling site without experiencing a laggy or unresponsive UI.

The fact also that person afford to spend $200 in gambling, I'm sure their owned phones do have above average in terms of specifications. Smiley

Regardless though, be it on a phone or PC, sports betting should easily take place on either of those not unless playing under pressure in live games where bets need to take place smoothly as odds are often changing even every second, we need a quiet quick device for that.

Responsive UI design has helped access for desktop and mobile, so we can still access gambling using mobile devices anywhere to gamble even though many gamblers expect the development of mobile gambling applications, in sports betting we have no constraints to gamble with mobile because we only have to determine the number of bets and pick the winning team.

On few occasions I have used android apps mostly for sports bets, But not so often as thought by many that comment on this thread because most Android apps have a hard time fixing some technical issues and experience that a few times that I use apps to bet.

This is not much about the apps but the device used rather, you can decided to make use of the app on either the mobile phone or desktop computer for your gambling experience and also in the same way use their direct website on either of your device chosen, but we have to get it clear that OP intention is to know the rate of how gamblers accept and make use of the mobile or desktop for their gambling and not considering the apps being used.

yes, it's true that using a phone to gamble is more flexible and easy to access gambling sites wherever you are as long as your phone network is strong.
but in fact the desktop is also safe to use for gambling in a certain place not far from charging electricity. because even though the desktop is great for having a gambling experience with a big screen but usually the battery power is very wasteful and requires charging to gamble longer. this is different from phones which consume more energy and can last longer to gamble and are not complicated to carry anywhere.

anyway, phones and desktops are both safe to use for gambling. so you should respect both.

Because of this thread, I have a friend who works with me, I brought up the idea that I could play through a casino app. Where will she enjoy slots and poker and how does she prefer it, in a computer version or on a phone? She said yes, that it's more comfortable for her with an app, that she wouldn't enter a casino from her phone's browser for the world because she doesn't trust sites like this, but through an app she feels safer, and she has her point because for her it's better this way because she knows that when she goes into the app she won't be in danger of entering different urls.
It is interesting point of view and i can say that it is real situation when google shows us a fake link higher that the casino link. If the gambler hasn`t enough experience with PC and such links he can make a serious mistake. But the same time i often see problems with the apps. A big part of them are not listed on official play markets and the gambler has to download it from the site. In this situation no one can guarantee that the app hasn`t security problems.

And that particular point is valid, if the app is not listed from the official play market and it came from the site the risk is also possible, though in this situation it's going to depend from how you trust the site that you are playing, if she's comfortable and she's not getting any issue with the app that she's using, then the chance that she's safe and that app is legit from the site itself.

The decision is always depending on how the gambler trusted the site and the app if he needed to use it to avoid phishing links.
And we return to the question where we have to be more accurate: when we use the app, downloaded from some website, or when we are gambling using this website?
Of course, when we use website i`m sure that we have several other sites opened the same time. And i`m sure that we don`t use one PC only for gambling. But on the other hand we have untested app without any guarantees.

When it terms to cellphone having application for a gambling website is better than browser because it is way more interactive and not having difficulties in navigating the casino as it was really made on that platform as long as you download it from their website so that we are sure it is safe . We have our own preference as sometimes i want to play on phone and most of the time i prefer on my desktop as i can easily see anything and i feel comfortable
