I do not think long, because it's already a movement in the currency crypto. so if I have any real doubts or real needs I immediately sell it but if I am sure will give a big profit I will hold it up to a price that I think is satisfactory.

I immediately sell few my coin with no doubts when i saw a strikes because this is what im waiting for a long period time, long waiting is over its time to get earn lots of profits. Then the other left coin I'll have to try to hold it until its strikes again, and purchase again to those i trust and believe coins then sell when its strikes. Im do selling only when market is striking or if i know i can get enough or huge profit from it, and that is the strategy to my coins.

If we say the market price has spike then the first thing we must consider is how much profit you would probably gain in the current market price. For us investors we set our standard profit to be 2 or 3 times higher than our capital.

I think each person will have their own decision. But for me I think what i'm going to do will depend on which cryptocurrency I'm holding. If it's a good cryptocurrency with high potential so I think I'll keep holding a little bit more but if it's not a good one so I'll sell them all then I'll not buy them back but I'll buy another better cryptocurrency Smiley

It depends on my strategy and targets. If the spike strike is my target, I cash out and plan next investing ideas.

I also agree with you because this is what I also do, if the value of the spike is my target, I sell immediately and wait for the time when the coin will go down and then I buy back and hold for as long as I can make reasonable profit from it again but if the spike is not my target and I check out for the reason behind the spike, I will hold for as long as I can make reasonable profit.
I, too, believe that everything depends on the situation and on each specific coin, some are you can selling and then buying again, and others are better to sell at the first good opportunity.

I'm just looking for the opinions of others really, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.
What do you do when a coin you're holding suddenly jumps up by like 30% or whatever? do you try to sell at the peak of that spike and buy them back once it's gone back down again? or do you just keep on hodling?
Well, if it is an low cap altcoin with a lot of hype, new exchange listing for example, so this situation probably wont happen again so I recommend you to sell this coin at ATH.

Mostly when i see the price of my coin spike then I sell the coin. If there is a spike then I know that it would not be long again before the price of the coin comes crashing down, so I sell, wait for the price to go back down, buy back in. The profit that remains with me I then decide where to invest it into. 30% is a high price hike, I would definitely sell if I saw something like that.

Everything depends on the specific situation and the concrete coin, there is no way to say so directly!

Such a good new when you coin shoots, When it does I sell half of it, I hate dumping all coins without holding an amount on me. But I  think if you don't need money for anything at that moment, you will continue to hold. Better still you can sell and go purchase other altcoins you believe in.

When the coin grows and this coin is in my crypto portfolio. I certainly sell a coin in the amount of 50-70% of the total.

It depends on the holder’s plan for her/his investment. But personally, even if the price jumps high i will still hold my coins since i am into long term investment and this investment is not actually for myself alone but most importantly for the education of my children. So right now i am holding only a potential coins that are good for long term, that can survive in a long run.

I will calmly analyze the market changes, because the market is too volatile, and a 30% increase is just a normal phenomenon, so what I need to do is to maintain a clear mind to analyze this market. I will not sell because of small fluctuations. My coin.

I probably sell my coins if that will happen in that case you will get a lot of profit if the coins you are holding is pumps up its price by 30% then buy again if it will back to its lowest price its a matter of sell high buy low method.

It depends like every one has different different target for their coins usually I check buy or sell orders and volume then I decide whether to sell or not If I see more buyers than sellers I hold on my coins if sellers are more than buyers I sell off instantly when a coin spikes. But some coins are long-term coins that I love to hold on the other hand every coin is not good to buy again if the coin has good potential to rise back then there is no issue to buy again. Otherwise I use to buy back only well established coins in the market.

I am a long term holder, I choose a good coin in which I would hold for almost 2-5 years. I really dont care if the coin that I am holding goes down, or having a good high spikes. I hold it for many years in order to get a good return of profit. If you are a holder, dont panic on it, aim for a greater profit and not just a quick buck.

Most of us maybe will sell our coins when it spiking. But for long term investors, they may not selling their coins because they see more value will be added to their coins if they hold for long time.
I personally like to holding. Unless my coin is a not good coin, i won't sell it for short time after i bought it.

It's very often to face this like-condition. So many jumps on the altcoin price. But, it doesn't mean to sell them. Because I will lose my capital. I hold my coins and look them at the higher price to sell.

It's all about understanding the market and predict the future... If you have the clear Idea of what it's going to be the coin value in coming time, you will be able to decide whether to sell it when it's on high or keep it for the near future.

Most of the time I just sell them, because it is common that after pump goes dump, and I would be able to buy my coin back, and get my profit. Smiley
