I invest them in altcoins or bitcoins. Most of the time just altcoins since that market is very interesting. Sure risky but also very rewarding if you buy the right altcoin.

It may sound naive but my idle coins are safe and locked in an paper wallet. I have no problem trusting on exchanges but when it comes to my money i prefer them safely stashed away from any party. And yes a paper wallet is at safe it can get.

But I do not prefer all my bitcoin to sleep ideally. I spit them 50-50 percent, the first of goes working for me in terms of investments. The second half waiting for price appreciations ie I hold them ideally and intentionally.
This is a very nice idea splitting our ideal bitcoins to get most benefits of bitcoin ecosystem by taking a calculated risk. Thanks for idea I'm going to follow it. I feel keeping all the coins idle, will diminish the chances of getting rich. So, taking 50% risk is highly affordable for me.
Unlike you, I still let all my bitcoin being ideal, because I do not believe on my own skills to make bitcoin working for myself. So price appreciation is the only hope I'm having to get some profits from my bitcoins.
Taking little risk is not that much bad idea with your ideal bitcoins. Because you can multiply bitcoins when you work with your Bitcoins along with price appreciation will get more definite profits. This means you will get double benefits when you are making your idle coins working.

i use my idle coins to buy some gold, i use the platform of bitgold, and i'm working to get my first 10g cube of gold!

Gold? Why gold? Bitcoin s 10x better store of value then gold. It s like using Bitcoin to buy fiat.

Maybe he want investment for long-term on gold, but i think it's kind of wasted imo. Better invest on bitcoins too, i mean like on gambling sites or trading.

I  completely agree with you. however he want to invest on something which is also good and has the stability. But bitcoin would be the best option as it has seen a lot of potential. Also without taking any sort of risk money couldn't made easily.

There is no bitcoin bank or any structure like this in the current time, it's a very bad investment to actually look for anything like this stable profit since most of them are camouflaged HYIP's and scams.

Most 'schemes' have got brazen these days. They don't even try to hide the fact that they are ponzis.
In spite of that, there are people queuing up to invest.  Roll Eyes

I think it's not that people don't realise that they're HYIPS. It's more of people taking a chance by investing in these sites

yeah, this is so strange to me too.
i was browsing through invest based games on this forum and seeing all of the ponzi "scams" which are a lot an being created every day.
the strange part is that people are losing money and they are aware of it too. on top of that they are complaining about these scams but yet there is a lot being created each day.

i wonder who invests in them!!!!

indeed it is useless to use bitcoin and sell it to buy gold. it was like a setback. better use of idle coins for gambling or trade. it will be better than investing in gold.
moreover it can be done while waiting for bitcoin prices rise. right ?

I mostly do nothing with them if I'm honest about I just hold them in a wallet and wait till the price will increase for sure.
I think its just a matter of time before we gonna make profit with the bitcoin.

Every bitcoins without bothering of the price variation gets hold in the wallet.
When bitcoin price increases to my expectations it gets moved to the traders wallet.

I keep my idle coins in a different wallet waiting for a price increase that may be coming on soon,
IMO with the halving coming and than we all can make profit by it, so I'm just being lazy with idle coins.

Atleast by that, even if you are lazy, you are still profiting from your money without moving them into investment...  Smiley halving is still few months from now, and I think you could still profit from your coins if you would use it in investments...

using them in some sports betting sites, it is not a good investment at all and don't recommend it at all.

I use my idle as a holding way of money in bitcoin, I consider this as one of the best ways to deal with bitcoin in general since the market can bring profit even if you are just holding your coins... Investments like HYIP's etc... are not investments at all.

Holding bitcoins and waiting for it to improve and the price to increase, I'm not holding it for a trading or something like that but waiting for a rise in price...

I am hoping one day I can build a house with them but that will take time and effort on my part. I think we should not only hoard bitcoins but we should circulate them too so lay people know they can do something else with them as well as save them, but that's just my 2 bits.

Gold has been bought and sold for centuries. It has a proven track record of value and I don't think Bitcoin is much better than gold to be honest. Yes gold is bulky to move around but its value will not drop overnight like Bitcoin.
