Don't think it is a good time to build one crypto portfolio now ,The cryptocurrency market is dipping and prices are going lower day by day. One can easily lose all his funds during this kind of market situation better to wait and see if Btc can be able to break its weekly 30-32 resistance on the charts if that does happen then I don't think it is a good idea to buy any altcoin at the moment.

Your first question answer is: yes! This is the proper time to build up your portfolio. You'll find lots of potential altcoins from top with low price altgough those were Super high by their price during bull run of 2021. So you can collect those altcoins for next bull run. Your second question answer is complex. Cause nobody can predict what will going to happen in next. I believe there will be a dump soon cause crypto Market always dump before pump. Low chnace but You need to stay fit mentally to face if it even go dipper like 2018.

I fellas I have two questions to ask crypto experts and investors in this forum today

1. Is this a good time to build crypto portfolio?
2. Do you really think that bear market will be a dipping as 2018?

Now that crypto is gaining more investors day by day and crypto adoption is increasing massively I don't think that the next bear market will be crazily low like 2018/2019, what do you think?

I will try to answer your question,

1. every time is the right time to build a crypto portfolio, because the price of cryptocurrencies will definitely continue to increase, but of course not all cryptocurrencies whose price will increase, therefore you are better to investing in projects that are already popular and have a high volume, so you can get a big profit in the future.

2. the market will not experience a bear run like in 2018, because currently many investors and large companies are starting to invest in cryptocurrency, then besides that USA also announced if USA will never ban cryptocurrency, so that makes people start choosing to invest in cryptocurrency and make cryptocurrency as a long-term investment, therefore I believe if there is a correction in cryptocurrency market, then of course the price will not fall as badly as in 2018 and the market conditions will recover quickly than before (increase again).
yes I agree, but I want to add my opinion, Before building a crypto portfolio, it's crucial to research and understand the different cryptocurrencies available, their use cases, and their potential for growth and Don't put all your investments into a single cryptocurrency; consider spreading your investments across different assets.

I will answer about "crypto bear market will be a dipping as 2018" While past trends can offer some insights, it's important to note that each market cycle is unique and can be influenced by different circumstances. The bear market of 2018 was characterized by a significant decrease in cryptocurrency prices after the rapid price increases of the preceding bull market in 2017. Whether a future bear market in the cryptocurrency space will be similar to the one in 2018 or exhibit different dynamics is uncertain. If you are considering investing in cryptocurrencies, it's important to conduct thorough research, assess your risk tolerance, and make informed decisions based on your individual financial goals and circumstances. Additionally, consider consulting with financial professionals who have expertise in cryptocurrency markets and investment strategies.

If you are afraid to buy because it might go for more dips, then you must apply a DCA strategy so that you will have a peace of mind and not stressing out when is the right time to buy crypto assets. Yes, bear market is the best time to buy and it's already considered as a golden opportunity that's why never hesitate to buy when everything are low.

I wonder how this 2021 long thread is still making any sense at this time!

Like, what are you guys responding to at the time when the bear market seems come and gone and it had dipped at $17k. From all indication available, it seems that’s all we are going to get as, what’s in expectancy is the probability of a bullrun to follow the next halving so, what bear market or dip are we still talking about given that this thread is been since 2021. It’s 2023 and we’ve had our bear market that dipped at $17k from an ATH at $69k.

We don’t need to think or speculate on it no more. The thread is done for. The bear market dipped at $17k and that ends it.

I don't think the 2023 market has anything in common with the 2018 market. The way the market went down in 2018 and 19 and the volatility in the market, I don't think the market will see that in 2023 or 24. Right now investors are investing more in Bitcoin and people are planning to hold Bitcoin for a long time. And the market is not going down now, the market is now all-time close to $30000. From such a situation the market will never come to such a bad state rather we can expect a good growth of the market from here. I am quite optimistic about the market in 2023 and 24 and expect the market to be in good condition by this time.

Firstly i think so. Cause now potential altcoins are offering you with discount price i mean 30/40% down from previous bull run. So you can buy much amount of altcoins with the fund you have while if you want to build your portfolio during bull market, then amount will be less but you can also profit then. But if you buy now, you can see your portfolio more growing. Secondly, dont worry. That Won't be happened as you already said, crypto spreading day by day and reaching  to more people and getting lot of investment. So i expect, we Won't face that dipper that we faced in 2018

I'm trying to answer question number 1. Is this a good time to build a crypto portfolio? If you yourself, of course, you must answer with the answer "yes" just like me too. I think this question is very general and simple, but it's not that simple if we don't have extra funds to buy it. Of course. No one who already knows the crypto world wants to be a spectator when BTC will exceed its ATH to $ 70K but, what can you do there is a limit to the ability of each individual and means they cannot afford to buy but there are other needs that need to be prioritized.

1. Anytime is a good time to buy your assets. You can do as Ratimov did at this link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5454830

Although I can't fully replicate what he has done, I am amazed at the concept and the way he invests in cryptocurrencies.

2. Secondly, I don't think that way. It's not like 2018 where there have been a lot of scams and frauds from projects with borrowed concepts like REgal and Davor. I believe the market will go down but it won't be as severe as 2018.

It's always a good time to start building your own crypto portfolio, nobody can predict the future trend of the market or the duration of the bull/bear phases so i recommend a portfolio of altcoins that have an almost certain possibility of future growth like eth, bnb, matic

Its been around more than 1.5 years old from your post and still no bull run is seen. That means if anyone wanted to build up their portfolio that time, that person still need to hold thier assets as bull is still.missing from crypto industry and yes! If Once bull seassion start, everything will raise up heavily, for altcoins that could be 4x-5x or more. So for now its time to build up portfolio, tokens are still available with cheap but set in mind that, you may need to hold those altcoins for another one year or more for bull session.
I'm just underlining what you said, that it still takes time [1 year to 2 years] to be able to reach a bullish market, because the era of the halving period will only occur in 2024. Your prediction is the same as my estimate that it will increase sharp for altcoins that can survive but not all altoins only altcoins can contribute until the bull market comes. there will be many altoins that fall at the end of this year due to their inability to develop properly.

In 2024 it will be a halving on bitcoin and according to statistics new maximums will be only in 2025. Before it the market can rise but not so much.

We've seen record inflation and the collapse of a few lending platforms and a major exchange so I don't know it could be worse than 2018-2019.
Btw, My portfolio was 80% down in December 2018.

I think rich investors can wait for bull market but small investors can't because they have less amount of money. So if we want make money from crypto then trade is the best policy for making money. If i have million Asset then i could buy more token and wait for bull market.
In the end, everything cannot be separated from the situation where the funds are available to make investments. For small investors, with the current situation, they will experience a dilemma, whether to continue to hold in a situation where funds are needed to continue to be rotated so that their needs can also be met. So what you said is true, investors with large funds will be able to hold on and wait for a bull market to reach it, not for investors with small funds, they must always trade so that their existing funds can be rotated even though they are full of risks.

IMO, I think this is the best time to invest on Bitcoin in particular and other strong altcoins like Ethereum, etc. Basically, investment of any time involves some level of risk, despite the timing. Having observed the performance of Bitcoin for a couple of months, I think it not a bad idea to start buying Bitcoin and other altcoins that you have researched on. To continue to postpone building your portfolio is equally a risk because price of some of your target crypto assets could go up and get to a level that you may not be able to buy the crypto asset, and you will start to regret. However, as a good investor, you should not rule out a dip occurring in the market. As a result, it is important to buy only what you can afford to loose. Also don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Yes you are right. There are some people who sell the invested coins when they need their money after investing. But we always have to remember one thing if we want to trade we have to be patient. If we lose patience after investing.  If we sell the coins, we will not make a profit but face a loss. So we always have to think and then buy and sell the coins.

Always do your DYOR and make sure you are well convinced with whatever decision you'll going to make, investment
inside trading can bring you benefits but also accompany by risk.

Without the right knowledge, chances of losing your money are always behind. With proper understanding, you can manage to decide things
the right way, you can save your money and you can deal with the transactions without any problem.
