i'm not sure if the question is meant to be about a coin to invest or the technology behind it. Because BTC and ETH have different proposals, ETH brings a hole world of dApps and systems that can rely on smart contracts transparency and decentralization. But BTC as a coin, in cryptocurrency world, can be considered the most secure and stable once it's contributor's community is expert and consistent.
I think BTC is the best crypto. One day when the bubble is over the miners and devs will come together and agree on some soft fork solutions to make it better for everyone. Right now they make crazy money from mining fees, but new investment will drop off eventually and everyone will have to agree on the future.
Things have changed after the fork and you could send bitcoin with low transaction fees but web wallets and exchanges are still charging higher fees and i hope they will give options to the users so that the user could select what kind of fees they are applying according to the emergency they have with the coins. 
BTC is the king, ETH is just good alt.
ETH model not to be digital gold so it will not be so expensive as BTC in5 years, but definetely will grow more.

Both are good in their own department.. BTC can be used for daily activities and ETH for commericals like ico's, contracts

I want to say my crypto portfolio is like 65% BTC 25% ETH other alts 10%
Based on that, I seem to prefer BTC. I think BTC will stay relevant for a long time. All these articles calling it the gold of the internet? Not sure i'm fully on board with that but BTC clearly has the most faith/support of any of the crypto currencies currently.

Bitcoin is the main currency, so of course I always have a bitcoin, while eth is altcoin and ETH is the best altcoin as well I also have ETH. I have both. So I do not choose one of these

Choosing between BTC and ETH seems like I prefer to BTC. Because BTC here is the first cryptocurrency in this world and also more famous than ETH. ETH is just as the best altcoin among some other altcoins.
I like ETH over BTC because I can actually mine it... there's no ways I can mine BTC at this stage.

I will prefer BTC over ETH because of the resent growth and increase in price. Also BTC has the potential to grow more rapidly and its price will go past $4000 in few weeks. ETH on the other hand is also a good investment and it also has potential to grow and its price will surely increase after some time.
I agree with you . We should choose BTC and ETH as this is the long-term investment and make the most profit. I'm sure in the future BTC and ETH will be priced x5 in the future
I will choose btc because of the chances I have to make profit with btc than ether. Many people still think ethereum is a scam(shitcoin) and fear holding it for long.

BTC and ETH are very good, but I myself prefer ETH, because very many ICO projects are using ETH nowadays
BTC is still my coin of choice; I have ETH too but I do not think it would surpass bitcoin very soon. In my opinion, trading ethereum is a good idea when you have plenty of fiat to put in it since small dollar movement in eth will give you more profit than in small movement in bitcoins. However, bitcoin is still the mode of payment of most. BTC for life!
Confirm to that mate, btc for life and if it's compared to eth to which do I prefer maybe it can be appreciated when we are at trading sites of altcoins. We are really looking unto those scenarios that may brought us to a deeper understanding that bitcoin is a strongest currency of all digital currency nowadays. But don't hope that govenment will take control of it's taxable linkage because it might remove our free will to earn good from bitcoin.
