I don't really agree to that coz BTC is very stabilized now & going strong day by day. It goes up from 2k USD to 3k then now 4k, I believed and I hope it will reach 5k USD end of this year.
At this point Ethereum is better than BTC, with faster and cheaper transactions. I think soon Ethereum exceeds the Bitcoin market cap.
You may be right about the ease of transactions but aren't we also talking of the values these two coins hold? We should also be concerned with how fast they appreciate in monetary terms. I think at this time the race is between Bitcoin and Bitcoincash, not with Ethereum.

I like BTC. If you like the reason they like. Then I say that each co has a different usage.
I prefer to buy and use mainly bitcoin. Ethereum is also a great coin, but I mostly like using it as an altcoin, and investment tool, but not as my main currency.
I would suggest you experiment with a bit of both. Both are great for investment and have its ups and downs. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you want to use it for.

For me I prefer BTC, because the BTC is the most pobular Crypto Currency. And the mostley people in the word know und trust BTC.
Eth is the second altcoin after bitcoin for me. Both are very good to invest. You will get a lot of advantages from both. But if we vote on both of these coins .. the votality of bitcoin is bigger than eth ... it means bitcoin user is bigger than eth .. so i think it is not possible eth will beat bitcoin or even replace it. Many eth users are selling their coins for bitcoin to make them easier to make a profit. Because bitcoin is more easily fluctuate in price ..
As ETH brought me into the crypto world due to its possible future prospects - and as it offers many new possibilities for programmers - I would say ETH! BTC is fine and I also knew about it for years, but it kind of never really got to me.
If you look at the platform and technology, I think ETH is better than BTC, but now BTC is king

I dont have so much money to invest. That is why i profer to risk more and invest on less known altcoins not bitcoin or ethereum. Bitcoin and ethereum have a potential for x2 or maximum x3 for next year. But there are so many good project that can make x10 even more next year. I prefer to invest on them... 
i would go with BTC as it is a stable and settled digital cryptocurrency that has a decentralised nature . It has many advantages like the transaction fees is very low as compared to other methods worldwide , it cannot be stolen like any other physical currency can , no one can see our transaction and know our balance , no third party like banks and all can see our transactions , no one can freeze bitcoins ,they are user friendly .

I bought a lot of ethereum for transactional fees because at this time many markets are based on ethereum. I still prefer bitcoin because it is the most stable, no one doubts this and I will not shake and always adjust to market conditions, now bitcoin prices are down and this is the right time to buy more.

From now, I decided it's ETH. BTC is undergoing hard or soft splits and there is no certain agreement between its miners and influential people. In ETH, we don't have such problems. And the price is still low for ethereum.
Now you compare the two and tell me what you like?
I am more likely to btc, but I like both, I think IT would be bigger. But as people say BTC and ETH have different goals and functions. Let's follow the developments.
Once Bitcoin gets Segwit. You can bet your ass that Blockstream is going to do everything in their power to take Ethereum off the table since it directly competes with many of their tech for BTC.

Yes many people said that ether will be the next bitcoin. But i don't agree on that because bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency before others. So much better to invest on bitcoin but you can invest to on ether by using bitcoin.

I will not sacrifice nor compromise Bitcoin for ETH simply because of BTC having major updates. ETH is hounded with so many allegations about hacking, inorganic hyping, not real, etc etc. Bitcoin is solid as rock. It has no very serious issues that would destroy its reputation.
