For me it depends on what promotion is offered by the gambling site. If it is something +EV for player then obviously it will attract more players to play on the site, Stake offers so many +EV promotions for their users FYI.
But if it is something -EV like wagering competition, deposit bonuses, etc that requires players to bet as much as they can then it is not my preference.

Gambling sites offer a variety of incentives on their promotions, including giving free coins when you register or even regular free spins. These incentives are nice as they provide an extra layer of luck along the way but I have this stigma that online gambling was made to be profitable to the owner only. Regardless of the free incentives, I never considered getting myself engaged with such activity.
Well as for the benefits, they receive free stuff and bonuses along the way whenever they withdraw their resources to the gambling site!
