Buying second PC just to be hipster and use Windows and other system at the same time is not good idea for the most people. But if someone is really rich and does not care about money... at least  I am too poor for that.
It's for data security, not to "be a hipster"

Buy a bootable external USB drive with built-in encryption (or use TrueCrypt) if you are paranoid anxious about data security (buying a second PC just for that seems a bit overkill to me)... Cool

I use Windows because almost every application or games will work on it.

This, you cant beat this feature with linux or mac currently.
But not best at keeping Bitcoins secure, you have to learn using paper or offline wallets
Ever heard of virtual machines or wine?

Many state-of-the-art games, especially graphics heavy (such as FPS), are not running smoothly in virtual machines (mildly speaking). And wine requires some knowledge which is a way beyond that you would expect from an average Joe... Cool
And why don't you just buy 2 PC's then?

If you ask me, I don't play games (though keep an eye on what's going on in the game industry)! Actually, you don't need to buy 2 PC's, you can just use dual boot instead! Grin

Thanks for running the poll.  It's interesting that Windows is not as dominant here as it is overall in worldwide market share.

Four years? Are you really young, if not you had been using Linux all that time?
