I would say that only in NY for a moment, in the Manhattan area you can have pretty good chances to eat in 1 of the 2 places where you would like by paying with Bitcoin. But this is NY, every other part of the world is not like this.

Yes you are right about Amsterdam! It came to my mind but I haven't mentioned it. Amsterdam is by far advancing amazing in the Bitcoin adoption and it is surely an European Bitcoin capital. This comes as no surprise considering their open minded nature about drugs legalization and prostitution legalization.

Also many forum members from here I know that they are from Amsterdam!

We're in the same page mate. Imagine your local supermarket started accepting bitcoins as payment.

Though I know that we will go a long time before they do just that, because apparently, every purchase we made comes up with a certain amount of tax, be it a single egg or a whole bag of chips.

I'm thinking of the same way, specially paying for the parking meter. That would be great given that if there is a QR code-based wallet on the parking meter, I wouldn't have to get cents off my pocket to pay for it. Also, buying groceries would be great on bitcoin. It would save a lot of money for me, but I know that wouldn't happen anytime sooner. There are value added tax on every purchases we pay, so that means even in paying with bitcoins, we need to pay tax in order to complete our purchase.
