What does BTC mean to you?

Some may say freedom others  say hope in a world of restriction, love to hear your responses.

Bitcoin is an electronic payment system or for me it is a digital currency that I can make transactions between myself and other parties without needing another party and I can do it at any time without any downtime for service. This is the freedom that Bitcoin users get because it cannot be regulated and controlled like fiat currency.
I own Bitcoin, I control Bitcoin. Fiat currencies can't get that.

Because living in a country that has regulations regarding the use of Bitcoin with restrictions on its use as a digital currency for making payments such as what applies in El Salvador, for me Bitcoin is the greatest innovation inherited by Satoshi which I use as a long-term investment asset to hedge against fiat .

Looking at Bitcoin as a digital gold or coin, we could probably say that it is just digital money but in my opinion, Bitcoin is great as an investment, for right now Bitcoin just means an investment because this is probably the best investment in my opinion that you could do even though for most people it is actually really risky for the most part. With the volatile market price in the market, I believe that it is really suitable as an investment not just something as digital money that we could use, It might be even better at this rate to use it only as an investment compared to what we are going to use it as actual money because there are still a lot of problem with it like networks, fees, etc.

Also, it might be a good way for freedom what I mean here is comparing it to fiat where it is controlled by the government, we have to deal with inflation where the government actually is just the one that causing it since they could easily just print money whenever they want to. Bitcoin could be a way to escape inflation in a way. As an investment, this is probably the best thing that happened when I just learned about Bitcoin I learned to manage my financial, save, and invest.

Hello, Everyone

I'll keep this short.

There's actually so much I see to BTC which has created it's impression that I have seen to be what it actually means to me of which freedom as granted from it been decentralized is one very important benefits everyone who's ever used Bitcoin enjoyed using it, Bitcoin has provided every of it user with a good amount of unlimited opportunities aside just been decentralized which could mean financial freedom online with almost no restrictions, several opportunities which includes jobs and other better payment alternetives and many others which I may not be able to list at the moment.

The freedom Bitcoin has brought through it's decentralized Blockchain technology is one which can't be over looked or spoken less about across the universe because it has created a form of universality in financial transactions with almost no limits especially in countries where it's allowed.

Bitcoin, no doubt has brought joy and happiness to the financial institution and payment industry. It reduced the excessiveness and oversight of the government and put almost an end to the disparities that we often experience with countries in terms of payments and transfers where some countries like the US will have all the opportunities of financial transactions while many others will be disenfranchised in this. We are all one before Bitcoin and that singular fact can't just be substituted for anything.

However, the following few points are the reasons why Bitcoin is important to me.

1. It is decentralised.
2. It brought a better means for ordinary people to earn easily and in big ways.
3. It gives you the opportunity to be your asset manager all by yourself.
4. It puts an end to the segregation in the payment industry (across the border).
5. Low and faster means of sending money across borders in comparison to the old known ways like Wire transfer, Wester Union, Money Gram, and the like.

More are to be done though.

I think the OP clearly understood what Bitcoin is all about just as much of us here do. Rather, he is interested to know what different individuals could think about it(Bitcoin) such as per views exempting what the Coin is primarily invented for.
You know... An advance thinking about this Bitcoin industry could attract advance enhancements at same time.
This could serve as a review if there is necessity for changes or updates.

To any view he would want to derived from people over here doesn't relates or affects anything here what I am only saying is that he should have made use of the search option because i could vividly remember that this same question has been asked severally, and it pains me when newbies just sign up and straight to make post without at least being more familiar with the platform maybe tried to read the information that has been shared over here sometimes before raising topic.

To me, bitcoin is like a companion, where it not only helps me get the things that I want and need but also helps me find another opportunity. Because of bitcoin, I get to discover new things and develop new skills that help me a lot and that I could use in different fields. Bitcoin also makes me independent from my parents; I don't need to ask for money anymore when I'm in college. Its self-fulfilment is because I can do things on my own accord. I learned to become more indefensible and find things that could bring me income, and it all came thanks to bitcoin because it gave me the urge or hunger to keep on finding what I'm good at and where I can earn money. Even today, I still do bitcoin stuff and will never let go of it as long as bitcoin exists, so I hope bitcoin will still be around.

For me Bitcoin means a lot, besides dreaming of gaining financial freedom, with Bitcoin we also take part in the technological developments that are taking place. especially at this time where opportunities are still open to gain financial freedom, however, knowledge about cryptocurrency must also be studied before entering the world of investing or trading in bitcoin. In my opinion, Bitcoin investment is a smart investment according to current developments

For me:
  • Bitcoin is an asset.
  • Also, Bitcoin is a currency. Bitcoin is a new technology introduced to us.
  • Bitcoin is a new way for us Average Joes to make a transaction without a 3rd party.
  • Bitcoin is an opportunity. Opportunity for us to earn more just by having a computer, internet connection, and knowledge.
As much as I want to share only positives on it, I'll share also some negatives like:
  • Bitcoin gives also another way of scamming newbie investors.
  • Bitcoin also gave hackers an idea of how they can scam other people.

Well, Bitcoin helped me many times, and all in positive ways, but let's also think that Bitcoin is only a tool thus, scammers can use it to scam people. I believe that Bitcoin has allowed us to earn money in different ways. I believe that some people are like me that the reason why they are investing now is because of Bitcoin. I just hope that OP will read all of our posts here in his created thread because TBH, many threads like this's been created in the past.

It is a technology advancement that has got the ability to change the financial infrastructure if accepted worldwide. For now it is slowly growing in a gradual manner and for now it serves as a multiple usage token which have got more importance as an investment asset than a medium of transaction for which it is being innovated.

Hello, Everyone

I'll keep this short.

What does BTC mean to you?

BTC means everything to me. It's a chance to get freedom from the corrupt monetary system backed by banks. It's also hope for the world to become more decentralized by removing its dependence from centralized institutions. Having a deflationary cryptocurrency is the best thing that's ever happened to us. Instead of having money that will depreciate over time, we would have something that gives us greater purchasing power in the future. There are no banks, governments, or other third-parties that could manipulate the supply to their own will. It's a dream come true.

Unfortunately, there are powerful forces that are doing everything they can to try to stop Bitcoin from achieving its full potential. "Wall Street" and mainstream banks are now heavily involved in BTC, setting a dangerous precendent for the cryptocurrency in the long run. Many people are cheering the SEC for approving Bitcoin spot ETFs, without seeing the "bigger picture". It's all an attempt to prevent self-custody of BTC by owning a huge portion of the supply (if not all of it). Not to mention, some banks are contributing money to the development of Bitcoin Core. Thank God, Satoshi made BTC an open source cryptocurrency. If he didn't do that in the first place, BTC would've been doomed already.

Before asking others, what Bitcoin mean to yourself? Show it to others first, don't only expect people's opinion.
Bitcoin is surely a freedom, it is decentralized. But if some countries still make a restriction, it is related to the laws and regulation on the countries. I think we have no rights to intervene the countries. Just let them change it themselves when they have realized that Bitcoin is something useful and has a big advantages to any people in the world.

By the way, I think I have the same perception with most people about Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin is our future, it is the media to multiply our wealth. Having Bitcoin as a digital assets will enable us to expect earning good amount of money in the future.

Bitcoin for me only mean one thing, profits. There is no other profitable investment in crypto other than bitcoin.

However, bitcoin could also mean retirement, which will only be possible if you continue to DCA and accumulate maximum amount of bitcoin so you can completely benefit it when retirement comes. When it happens, you will not worry anymore on what to spend but on how to spend them for you so you can live your life the way you want it to be. And by that time, bitcoin will hit probably a million cost, as long as the demand for bitcoin never stops.

Until now i still feel that bitcoin for myself is only an investment aspect (for myself) because after all, even though many people say that this is one of the legal means of payment or indeed as another aspect but for myself personally bitcoin is still only an investment tool and support for myself to make my financial life better.

Indeed, for this financial freedom is a very important thing and I am starting to realize that even though it has only been a few years but it is still not too late for me to improve my condition and be in bitcoin because in the end it is all about the decisions and beliefs we have and until now I am still confident in bitcoin so I will still continue to be in bitcoin and buy while I can afford to get it.

BTC means Bitcoin, a digital cryptocurrency that is decentralized (haha just kidding), it provides us freedom, and knowledge of the financial world because by knowing the true potential of BTC, we come to know about the dark reality of banks and how they are playing with our money. I don't know about you but I consider it a harsh reality and think that it's not how things should work.

For me BTC is on top, I did not make a good profit either I am trading or holding, I did not make a good profit in any crypto but only in BTC, and that's why I trust it that in the long run, it can make me good money. Besides all that I am not a big user of anonymity, but I praise decentralization and all of the features it provides us.

Different people have different meaning to bitcoin and there understanding towards it also will determine how there life will look like as an investor. There are people that started as nothing but now have built there self and are doing very well in bitcoin so how we understand the story and how we approach it matters a lot. And that is why a lot of people have give up along the line. But if the person have the proper understanding of the value of bitcoin they will do anything possible just to hold it. And I have come to understand that starting first is not the issue but how you finish well.

There are thousands of people that started but all of them have failed to keep up with the whole thing. And that is why I am gladly taking my time to understand things I feel am lacking and I am making sure that I am learning well because I see and hear what most of the traders usually advise people to learn before starting anything bitcoin. And the way have picked interest i will definitely make some cash out of it.

Bitcoin is my favorite coin and has advantages. If I didn't know Bitcoin, maybe my life wouldn't have changed. After getting to know Bitcoin, significant changes occurred. Bitcoin is my short-term investment to get profits every month, although the profits are not always the same, but I am grateful to get money without big risks, the risk is minimal, only the price goes down
Due to the price volatility, I think it is too difficult for anyone to consistently make a profit from investing every month.
I'm not sure if you can really make a profit every month, but so far I haven't been able to make that kind of profit every month because of price volatility. Sometimes the price rises high in one month, while the price falls and corrects in the following month, it makes the value of the total investment fluctuate which is unlikely to make the holder consistently make profits.

Bitcoin in concept is a decentralized currency, but in practice bitcoin tends to be considered an investment asset that allows investors to get returns in both the short and long term. Of course, many people have changed their fate after getting to know Bitcoin and they have reached the top level, but that is not the main purpose of bitcoin's birth.
What I mean is playing futures in the market to earn my income every month. If you only save Bitcoin, what you say is true because Bitcoin's movement is not very fast, so in terms of future market calculations it is a mainstay for me to make a profit. Sometimes other altcoins also need to be paid attention to

Bitcoin is financial freedom for me. To be honest, it's not about Bitcoin alone; cryptocurrency gives me financial freedom. I can spend my crypto worldwide in various ways now. The Bitcoin goal was to create a p2p decentralised money transfer system that we are taking advantage of. Also, Bitcoin has become an investment opportunity from which I can make money. So Bitcoin makes my life easier than before. We can work at home and receive payments from all over the world.

Bitcoin is both currency and investment tool for me.
It is also my way to save up my money so that I would avoid on spending my earnings on unnecessary items, or prevent me from overspending.
Due to the high transaction fee whenever I want to cash out or convert my Bitcoin into cash when I want to buy something the fee from transaction is my best reminder to hold it.
And wait for my cash or salary instead of using my investment to buy it.
