Hello, Everyone

I'll keep this short.

What does BTC mean to you?

Some may say freedom others  say hope in a world of restriction, love to hear your responses.
It actually does mean everything to me and my family. Without me knowing about Bitcoin I and my family won't be able to survive the hardships we had. Bitcoin really gaves us the chance to achieve financial freedom if used properly and skillfully. There were for me never ending opportunities with Bitcoin if we really are willing and have the desire to explore it

This is the most common answer among all of us, even myself, because it helped me financially and also got me to know about finance, as we know that from the start we are just spending and spending, so it made me aware of my finances. Also, Bitcoin has given me experience with those things that I wasn't able to do, like eating at expensive restaurants and buying those stuff that we couldn't afford. With this opportunity, we should maximize it and learn more from it so that we can utilize its uses and take advantage of it.

For me, when I first got to know Bitcoin - I worked and was paid via Bitcoin but still in dollars. Bitcoin makes it easier for me and the company to deal with salaries, it's faster and doesn't require large costs because the company and I are in different countries.

Apart from that, Bitcoin also plays an important role for me as an investment, maybe not only me but other people out there or members here feel that Bitcoin provides huge benefits related to investment.

Yeah, as others might have experience freedom, maybe from restrictions to their government. But as majority of us here, we have now financial freedom. At least that's what Bitcoin brings to me. I'm not a big time holder or whale, I just accumulate as much as I can and experience multiple bull runs already. So I made a good profit and from that profit around, make a U-turn, create business for passive income.

And you just simply repeat that process, it might be tough to be a long term holder or long term accumulation phase. But at the end of it all, it's going to be worth it as you will have the financial freedom and buy things that you couldn't afford before. And so your life improves together with your family.

What does BTC mean to you?
BTC has dual relevance in my books and those are – as money and as real estate (or any property that doesn't depreciate). So, you see how strong I feel it's impact. I believe its the same for many a user here.

The hope and freedom angle is from excited fans. I don't see it from their prism. When we hype Bitcoin to high heavens we should also remember the hiccups it experiences. It's really frustrating when that congestion thing happens. For the first time I had a transaction unconfirmed for over two months. Yes, it was that bad because the app I used didn't have a RBF option on it and there wasn't anything I could do as I never wanted to import it to an app with such a feature. At a point, while waiting, I forgot about the pending transaction. The day it finally confirmed, it was like I was hallucinating. I had to stare at my phone for minutes before it dawned on me I wasn't day dreaming.

What BTC means to me? it means a Financial freedom and wealth opportunity. This is one of the most important investments that I have, I know and I believe that the value of bitcoin will be even more successful in the coming years. I hope that one day, BTC will help me to achieve all my plans, but of course we still have to work hard to have it. BTC opens a lot of opportunities to many investors and traders.

It's broad honestly.

Like those that are not well off in life but are one of the early investors of BTC and managed to hold it up to this time. This means a freedom, financial freedom as they can do anything they want to without having the worry with finances because bitcoin got their backs.

For me, it's a lot of things of what btc means to me. It can be my future asset being on held by me and will be converted likely to tangible assets.

Currency as well because I can use it for purchases that I want to. As in, it's like everything today.

Although there can be definitive definition of Bitcoin maybe technically speaking, on a personal level it can mean differently from one person to another depending a lot on the real and perceived impact it created on the specific person. As for me, it is more of an investment that paid a lot and then slowly I learned of the many things it is symbolizing like empowering people away from the control of institutions like governments and banks, for that matter. Bitcoin can still be considered as a young boy and there will be more to its story and history as it is now on its second decade of existence.

To me it is an opportunity
Opportunity for self custody
Opportunity for wealth safety
Opportunity to gain an appreciating asset in cheap price
Opportunity to accumulate wealth
An opportunity for the future.

Weldone I the you speak my mind in as much the forum is concerned as newbie all you need at first is to study the forum see existing topic

am not sure the OP is a newbie newbie (don't mind my language) joined around September last year.

The funny thing is if another newbie comes they won't see this
That's why it's recurring
They are not usually familiar with using the search engine and of the notion that their question is unique
Been there
Thought same  Grin.

Bitcoin (BTC) for me is definitely freedom but more specifically it's freedom from being always chasing the bag or worshipping money, with bitcoin I'm able to not worry too much about earning money because I know that if I really need to earn money or have to spare some for emergencies, I don't have to worry about it too much because I know that I can just sell a small portion of what I hodl that's already considered profit and then I'd be doing just fine again, with bitcoin I was able to take my time finding a job because whenever I need the money to pay bills or eat out or buy some stuff that I want to, I don't have to worry where I have to find the money for those stuff so yeah, that's what bitcoin is to me although it's a cliche answer, I think I did fine deepening the meaning of it.

For me, Bitcoin is a profitable investment vehicle and also a solution for the freedom to send money across countries freely and without borders. So it could be said that Bitcoin is like freedom for me too. Apart from that, Bitcoin also made me realize that the world of finance is not limited to a centralized system. Because it was through bitcoin that I began to know about the world of non-centralized finance. Before getting to know Bitcoin, I had absolutely no idea about the world of finance which could not be centralized. And to be honest, I consider Bitcoin to be the greatest discovery of this century in the digital and financial world.

Lately it became more like a hope than an actual freedom.  Do not get me wrong.  You will ALWAYS be able to spend and receive Bitcoin no matter how harsh restrictions are in your country.  But in the very extremist and hopefully impossible situation where countries decide to take extremely strong action against Bitcoin and induce fear into citizens even contemplating using it, it is not very helpful that Bitcoin can still be used freely.

Our situation is not even close to the one I described above but it is slowly heading that direction.  Mixer users are falsely called out as being 'criminals' and laundering money, Bitcoin users are rebels who are falsely known as those who would do anything to hide from the Government and many other things are being said repeatedly to taint the reputation of Bitcoin and its users.

It is a hope in a progressively restricted world.  You can not really say or do much any more without being judged, punished or have your reputation tainted for it.  Freedom of speech is dying, Privacy is too, everything linked to true freedom is seemingly slowly heading to an end.  Call me paranoid.  But you can not say a lot of the things you could of said a decade ago any more.  You can not have your own beliefs and opinions or every body will jump you.  Things are headed a pretty dark path in my view.

El Salvador and other such supportive countries are still a hope for me that while bigger countries crack down on Bitcoin, Privacy and freedom, there are smaller ones who would offer the best.  But we should see.
