Bitcoin's instability is the most frightening thing. Unstable price, uncertainty that if you invest money in it you will not lose them. This all stops many people from buying.

Personally, I think the key factor it is the volatile nature of bitcoin. This sometimes revert people from investing in bitcoin and its activities because they are scared of making huge losses." What is the currency falls?" This has been the question on the mouths of so many investors, especially those in my own country.
the main factor that makes people or investors afraid is about the legality of bitcoin (legal umbrella) there is no legal legality. not all countries or governments can accept bitcoin. other factors about the problem of rising and falling irregular prices. some days tend to decrease prices. I think that's the reason, according to my personal observation so far.
I believe that price turmoil and legal status are the main concern for anyone to think about their involvement in Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I don't think that there are other problems such as technology or user friendliness. Lack of awareness is one of the main reasons for people not to get involved with Bitcoin.
For me, there are two factors that scare people from investing in to bitcoin. Watching news from television regarding some anomalies done by some individuals, making scams out of bitcoin, makes some negative feedback about bitcoin, with out any knowledge and that is a big negative outcome. Then the social media that is adding heat to the flame regarding scams as well makes people think twice in investing to bitcoin or any other Cryptos.

The most important factor people are afraid of investing in bitcoin is the fear of losing, because there are still many assumptions that bitcoin is unsafe, illegal, limited in circulation, vulnerable to theft, etc. This assumption makes understanding about bitcoin negative. They haven't realized that bitcoin isn't like that, but because of ignorance, they avoid bitcoin from their financial portfolios. Even though investing in bitcoin can make them enjoy big profits in a short time.
Most people don't really have enough money to play with, that they feel comfortable losing if the market goes low
one of the most powerful factor is regulation, many countries right now ban bitcoin & cryptocurrencies and i think that's the most factor that make people don't use BTC daily

What scared me in the beginning was its high price in combination to volatility. New joiners are looking to make a quick buck and dont want to invest allot. Other part is the bad news in the media. The only thing displayed in the media is news about hacks and wrong use of bitcoins. Its never about the good thing cryptocurrencies will bring to the future.
Some people are very scared to invest in the crypto market or bitcoin that the bitcoin market has a lot of fluctuations as well as they have many price fluctuations that make some people hesitate to invest in the bitcoin market.
First is legalization, if the certain person knows that bitcoin is not legal on his country then that person probably stop getting involved in bitcoin, second is the influence of media, because there are some medias that demote bitcoin or saying negative thoughts about bitcoin that can potentially scare people away from bitcoin. And i think the most common factor is the lack of knowledge, if he fully understand how bitcoin system works then he should know the potential of it, but if a certain person is lacking of that knowledge then he will be scared to put his money on
I think that the factor as not complete regulation on the part of the state in which the investor lives influences his decision to invest or not, but in my opinion there are now many ways to make sure that the decision of the state does not concern you.
