I think the most influential factor in my country is the amount of media that gives negative news just roughly bitcoin, that's why people have less collective in bitcoin investments. In adviser, low levels of education with append the factor, people who reach not believe about cryptocurrency and the advance will renounce the bitcoin investment because it is considered unstable and definitely risky.
Many people get scamed investing BTC into scam ICOs becoming a treading factor now with the crypto currency so this is the major fact is people do not want to take the risk on investing their money on bitcoin.

There are several of them and i do think it depends on the state of your government on Btc: as in whether the government has kept mute to btc, has warned against btc investment, legalised or illegalised btc.

The reason why people are afraid to invest in bitcoin. The country where they live doesn't legalize bitcoin and can make them doubt, they fear if bitcoin is lost, then no one is held accountable.
I think it may be due to the unstable bitcoin price which is a factor for some people are afraid to invest in bitcoin because, they think is a risk but not only in risky bitcoin investments so I think unstable bitcoin prices are a major factor for some people fear invest in bitcoin

Others Factor that is increasingly spreading the news about the hacked market, Volatility, technical difficulties, government and regulator risks, fear of innovative features. And a lot of negative news are scattered everywhere and some believe it without knowing the real purpose of bitcoin in the society.

Number 1 reason for me is, it's pure on speculation, one bad news and boom, bitcoin drop 5% to 10%. This is where we need real life adoption rather going on speculation and news. Once bitcoin uses in real life cause, its price will be stable and secure.
There are several reasons why people are still afraid to invest through bitcoin is the risk of losing money, price fluctuations, not legalized, easy scammers and hackers anywhere and security factors. 
That legal status can make people have the fear to have an investment in bitcoin that can not accept such a big risk if they incur losses. Second, there can be fear because of the very high market turmoil that can not be predicted exactly every day.

Lack of awareness is one of the main reasons for people not to get involved with Bitcoin because they believe the media story without doing their own research and trying to understand what is Bitcoin technology and blockchain and how it works. because I believe if people are going to invest in bitcoin, that person reads the truth of bitcoin and how the blockchain works, that person will fall in love with bitcoin and without a doubt he will invest in bitcoin.
As i see it most likely than not, bitcoins extreme volatility will be the main issue here. Realistically speaking, most investors invest mainly to gain profit. This is why, the so called institutional investors shy away from bitcoin. Who would want to invest on something that is highly known for i'ts price to move substantially from the time they bought it, and up to the time they want to sell in exchange for local currency? Just the risk takers.

I'm quite sure that the major factor is that many people don't really understand how bitcoin works and think it's something very complicated and used by criminals etc... There are many factors due to which an individual is scared to invest in Bitcoin
- volatility- The high volatility causes huge price fluctuations due to which people are scared in investing into BTC
- Legalisation- Bitcoin is not yet legalized in many countries which make people step back from investing into BTC
- Scams- Many people get scammed investing BTC into scam ICOs which has also become a factor now.
- fear- fear is a major factor why people don't invest in BTC. The fear of loss cannot be taken by many people.
- technology- many people are still unaware of how to use the Bitcoin and the blockchain technology which is why they have not yet invest into it.
What factors scare people into investing in Bitcoin are the Risk of losing, Market is Volatile, anything can happen at any given time, price value may goes up and goes down depending upon the volume of investment put in by the investors, among other things that scare people is the FEAR on investment, some even think that it is SCAM.
There are a lot of factors. F.ex. if the wallet file is corrupted, bitcoins have essentially been “lost”. There is nothing that can done to recover it.
