That's supposed to be the standard in crypto projects but most of the time they only showcase good website presentation but lack of team transparency or anonymous developer. So its up to you to do your own due diligence to research about the project itself

Yes, that's true, but in the last two years there have been so many projects that falsify Whitepapers along with completely non-existent team compositions, this is what everyone is really worried about when looking at and researching Altcoin projects.

There were projects that are constantly giving updates of their progress but there's no actual development.

I'll choose to have more development and just late in or don't give updates most of the time but very consistent in the development. Because updates are very typical by these projects through their social medias.

Or with their chosen channel to update.

That is what I used to believe as well. A team that is honest, legit, hard working would be able to make any project a good one. However I realized that talent and money plays a huge huge huge role, probably the biggest role as well, sure others are still important but not as much. You can be honest, you can be legit, you can work 7/24 non-stop 10 people, but if you have zero capital to promote then your coin will not be anything at all, that is what I happened to the project I was checking out, they were all great people but they had no money so they couldn't do marketing hence the price dropped to insanely low levels.

This is why I do not invest into projects without checking the treasury address, usually there is a good amount but unless it has 1+ million dollars I am not investing there, I need to know the team is rich enough that they would help the project, a poor team means a poor project.

EOS, the community and the fundamental is really great. Also you can stake the coins to support the network and earn reward of it, so you can lock your coins for a long time.
The feature that will be great is EdenOS and Bullish Exchange.

Yes your are right before investing in a project first of all check if it has a use case, make sure you know what the project is all about, check it's back up, check how active their community is and also how hard working there are in terms of pushing the project forward, but it's so bad most investors don't even make these researches there just invest blindly on new projects not even knowing what the project is all about and this is more reason why most investors get scammed and also lose funds while investing.

Should have the features to stand alone during the bear market, must also be able to stand alone when the trend is no longer active because the new altcoins we have today are mostly built on hype of trends like the meme coins that has been going round this season.
They must also have a dedicated team and partnership with strategic partners.
The team must be transparent and not contain any form of lies and deceitful otherwise, that will mark the beginning of their downfall.

It does not seem as if you are interested in the long term health of the project and you are only interested in making money, in that case then almost any coin could serve the purpose, just a reminder, investing is risky by nature and when you add things like investing in the market not really knowing what you are doing and using leverage then the risks multiply themselves many times over.

You are a newbie so I would not recommend you to begin investing in altcoins right away, begin the way most people do with bitcoin and then if you still want to invest in altcoins then you can consider it.

I think project need to have a strong concept and they need a clear road map .The project will need to have a strong development team and the activity will be done step by step .The recent hype on Defi and NFT .The project like chainlink ,Uni etc .Those have strong based and concept .So i think you need to follow the above things before you invest any project .

The basic thing to look out for when investing is the use case of that coin, a coin that doesn't have a real use case which the community really needs isn't worth buying at all, because it won't survive the market pressure, aside that you should look to invest in projects that doesn't stop growing, meaning there's always something exciting coming up, projects that stop growing end up dying in the long run, but project with real use case and exciting road map keeps staying on top of the food chain.
