There is really absolutely no need for useless things like a white paper, a good developer team, a great community, a functioning wallet, many exchange listings and so on.

All a good altcoin investment needs is a famous billionaire like Mr. Musk, that shills the coin on Twitter. When the media reports about his tweets (and also mentions the coin/token/whatever), the price rises to the moon or far beyond that. All you need is just a glass sphere (maybe a wheel of fortune will do the same) that tells you the next coin he will buy and shill afterwards, so that you can buy it early on at a cheap price. Then sell it after media reports, lean back and wait for his next tweets, which are sending the coin back down to the ground after Mr. Billionaire sold his share of the coins to the hyped average Joe, that is damned to lose tons of is spare money.

That's all you have to do.

I can say, any project can give you a profit as long as you buy and sell at the right time. But to get seriously invested for the long term, I think there are lots. Matic, Solana, Cardano, and UTK is still at its infancy stage. So if you wanted to get in, now is the right time because they are really cheap.

About what feature, I think the one that has not only use case but can also cater demand and interest of people are good project to invest in.

Almost all features that are to be in a crypto project had been planned already by most altcoins. Privacy had been overly done by some altcoins but still, these altcoins still rely on BTC price. What you should notice by now is that the altcoin that has most of the volume or the top projects in the rank are the ones where investors are flocking. Don't look for something else, just go to the list and check their features and invest in which one you see fit.

Indeed, what you have mentioned are some of the most important parts of an amazing project. But you forgot about the most important thing, which is the developers themselves and their backgrounds; whether or not they are reputable people and already posses a lot of experience in this industry. Along with how they carry out the plans stated on their roadmap and the timeliness of the developments. And of course, the way they interact with and how they manage the community within the said project.

The most important thing for a good altcoin project is to have a bunch of visionary and technical people to do some long-term things. Its community and consensus must be established, and it must be supported by big dealers behind it.

Actually, there are so many questions like this now, but it doesn't matter because I will give a very simple view for you, namely about investing in Altcoins, so instead of spending time doing research over and over again, it's better for you to choose an Altcoin that is already established popular and already well-ranked in the crypto space, because such altcoins always have great potential for you to invest in.

This is good for investors that don't want to get involve with the current hype but with high likelihood that the project will survive long and with very good foundation. Some examples are ETH and BNB. Though BSC platform got the interest of many users in the past months because of the high gas fees in eth network but I can consider that their BNB is a solid alt because of the platform backing it. Many alts, in my opinion, don't need to exist to begin with. Most are just copy-cats of copy-cats and they are only created for the purpose of getting money from naive investors.

Most alts gives a better chance of profiting not because of their use case but because of the hype surrounding the project, price are base on speculation even though some alts have the capability to provide some unique service in blockchain but they need time to be fully developed and put that service into use, right now most investors invest in the potential of the project since most of their products are underdevelopment and patience and time is required for this goal to be achieved.

Just follow the trend for profit. Look at the swapcoins launched in recent months and how much interest they have gotten. JulD and CAKE were one of them those provided a good return to its investors. Take a look at the ETH based UNI, which has also brought innovation to the crypto market and got deserved value. Surely, the market is not limited with swaps, but you must be open to innovations to earn more. Swaps have become a trend in these days, but we will see more innovations in the future.

I personally prefer that the platform they offer is the one that is being discussed in the market, it doesn't have to be monotonous, but it must be able to adapt to increase the credibility of the altcoin because cryptocurrencies change every year.

It should have real solutions to an existing problem for example. This is one of the biggest criteria that I expect from a project. And it would be better if the project is supported by a reputable person too.

First and fore most, ACTIVE and ENGAGING community. since use case can be develop at anytime with community support since even a token with real use case features will not survive without community backing. So always check if they have good community but be wary of Shill community since this is the sign that the dev paid shill army to show he has engaging community.

With the current market trend? NFT and the whole staking. So it's really up to what is the hype at any given time. Before it was IEO, 2017 it was really a boom and many investors making tons of money.

Long term? crypto's like ETH, BNB, ADA will be a good project to invest. We all know how strong they are and how is the support of the community. If you have invested on them during the bearish cycle, they you could have made profit as well, in 3 years time.

IF there's no usecase and it can be considered as a red flag for the project.

Almost every altcoin, you can profit with all of them. It's all on you how to determine which of them is the worthiest of your money and time and has those standards that you have mentioned.
You have an idea about use case so that's an obvious answer and characteristic for a project to have. But not all altcoins does have it.
