I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
It's really not possible to compare esports to gambling table games. Esports should be compared to sports at least, as all of them last for a long time before the final result. Someone betting on a soccer match or a Dota best of 5 will have to be aware the game won't be decided in 10 minutes or less, like a table cards game.
And well, if there are people betting in elections and sports championships in general which take several weeks or months to be decided, I think esports pvp match's duration won't be a negative point for this sub-category in gambling industry.
Agreed, in fact the name itself esports tells us against which kind of gambling game they should be compared and that is sports bets, the only way to make it p2p will be with a betfair kind of website in which you could back or lay a bet, but for p2p games then games like poker are without a doubt the best not only because a hand of poker can be resolved quite quickly but also because it is a game that is easy to learn and that almost everyone knows how to play.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Well, I remember before that there is a PvP game online here in the forum, and that is 9 balls pool. But before they will conduct a game, they had an agreement first here on the forum. It just looks like the site was the third party that holds the fund, but perhaps due to the small number of players, they will perhaps close the site. However, any online games are the best and suitable for PvP games, but the problem most of them won't survive because it is hard to organize and not every player has the same time to play, unless if they had a lot of players, but if not, it is possible they will close.

a real billiard table and a real cue stick would be much better, i think it's fair for both players still to gamble with an online 9ball game. i would probably participate in it. I'm sure there are developers who can just integrate a betting platform PVP inside the 9ball game that they don't have to talk here in the forum. they could just login bet and wait for the players to be ready.

If it would be PvP gambling I think it would be great to have something like PUBG.
I am just suggesting a survival gameplay it could be any type of play like DOTA or LOL or just like PUBG where you need to loots weapon.
Majority of the online games that we can have opponent to play with and it's a game of competition, you can do that. Also some RPG games online that has PvP feature.
That's also an ideal thing to have bet with other players.

The problem on gambling apply on RPG and non-gambling gambling games ar the availability of the players. Not Al gamers of that particular games are interested to gamble on that game that's why most of the doesn't preferred to add games that is not suited for gambling. Most of the time, They are just push to place a bot instead of players due to lack of players.
It is one problem but there's a solution on it by talking personally to the opponent and setting a time and date for that particular match. There are a lot of games already that's integrated with gambling including the skins, items, avatars and other gaming rewards that you can purchase in game or through p2p marketplace for that game.
And this pvp betting is like p2p match but only has to set dates.

Well for E-Sports yes, that would be awesome but knowingly that VALORANT had the biggest number of gamblers on FPS, I think PUBG will be out of place. (correct me if I'm wrong)
As for the other Games, I can't think of any other than POKER or MAHJONG (haven't known if there are still Online mahjong but it is one of the game I like before)

poker i believe, is the most popular among them.

Only in the Western World. mahjong is top 1 gambling game in Asia (if i remember correctly)

and even here in the forum, you will see from time to time, hosted poker events.

Because we are here most from Europe/USA. If we would be in Asia, the main events would be with other games.

but other pvp games, they tend to attract in the beginning, but later on, players got bored and move on.

I don't know what kind of "pvp games" you're talking about, but games which i counted above - too popular, with world championships.

Why are people thinking about Dota 2?

While there are a lot of people playing it, it is still not that balanced. There are still a lot of heroes that could dominate the game and I think that could not be always controlled since it is a MOBA, it is a fighting game and that also means that it would not always be balanced. I don't think it would be the best PvP that we have, but its what we have right now.

Exactly. Good picks and counterpicks can decide the game. You can have better players and simply be outpicked at the beginning and you'll lose the round. That's why at top level events they usually play best of 5, but in normal casino scenario nobody is going to play for 5 hours straight to get the reward. Casino games have to be pretty easy and fast. They need a los skill entry point, so that a newbie can understand the rules fast and they need a fast paced matching system. Dota sucks in this because team picking phase alone can take 10 minutes.

Is there really need some comparison on those e-sports tournaments compared into those typical pvp gambling games like poker, blackjack or similar games?

When we do talk or point out their differences in terms of time spent then it is really noticeable.Neither of those games will be chosen then people would really be
aware on the time or duration.

Lots of PvP games out there it does matter on peoples interest.

So, what do you think the perfect PvP game for gambling should be?

They're already exists: Poker, bridge, go, mahjong and many other...
You don;t need to invent something already in use. And millions of people playing in it everyday. What could be invented, already invented  Smiley

better stick to the popular ones that you mentioned because more then likely, these games will be the ones to survive. poker i believe, is the most popular among them. and even here in the forum, you will see from time to time, hosted poker events.

Perhaps Tekken would be a good gambling pvp game since it involves skill and timing from both the players.

With regard with chess, I think that it can also be an avenue for pvp gaming. There are certain websites that cater in playing chess online (chess24, chess, lichess, etc.) with different game types (blitz, rapid, classical). As an avid chess player, this will also increase its player base which has the potential of attracting new players to the game.
I agree about these games specially Tekken. I used to watch Tekken matches in YT and even in FB and there are a lot of good players worldwide and it's easier this time because you can play and have a match with other tekken players online. If a platform can setup a pvp match with Tekken and have a bet against the other while spectators can also cast bets for that match before it starts, that's a game changer that we will see but it wouldn't be popular that quick.
With the setup now, it's easy to anyone to participate with this kind of pvp. Just need to set it up and let players and gamblers to play, there are many interested players since the game is really popular.

Once someone open the door, expect that there would be a lots of spectators to participate. Gamblers always a gamblers, is they've seen opportunities they'll be there to bet on.

From the players circle of friends this type of PVP can be manifested to more people
to get involve and start playing / betting.
But it is still better to have a platform like the casinos where serves as the mediator, they're be the best middleman for Pvp games. They're a casino and it's an additional feature that they can add to their casino which might be one that will gain popularity to who they are or to the branding that they have. For our friends, it is easy to set this up but it's also a good feeling that you'll be against to random people that shall be on the platforms that looks for opponents. But there's disadvantage that I can see on this, what if those pro teams would use smurfs?

If I am right, there are already a lot of gambling chess website that has been around for quite some time now, although I am not an expert on chess, I've already found some regarding about chess and other board games using a simple google search.

In terms with Tekken, a famous multiplayer fight video game, I've found certain restriction on the company in regards of the game being used for gambling. Also, I did a quick research regarding the 1v1 gambling match for CS:GO, DOTA 2 and other steam games and I have also found out that it's either steam or valve are targeting those website that profit/ gambling using their games. It's best to have private match-up and talk to someone that is willing to gamble using skills on video game to avoid either being banned, kick out or pay any consequences on their company.

I don't know if UNO cards can be used for gambling but I'm thinking about it being used as game for gambling where the winner takes all the prize. A simple yet great way for me.

I believe that cryptocurrencies can revolutionize PvP gambling and turn it into a big industry. In PvP gambling players play against other players and also bet against them. The most widespread and successful PvP gambling game is poker, but what other games do you know that work well in gambling? Before the Internet some people gathered in parks and played chess for money, but nowdays it's hard to play chess competitively on the internet due to the power of chess AI. Also, there are altcoin projects that allow people to challenge each other and bet on popular online games like CS:GO or Dota, but so far they didn't accomplish any major success.
So, what do you think the perfect PvP game for gambling should be?
