I believe that cryptocurrencies can revolutionize PvP gambling and turn it into a big industry. In PvP gambling players play against other players and also bet against them. The most widespread and successful PvP gambling game is poker, but what other games do you know that work well in gambling? Before the Internet some people gathered in parks and played chess for money, but nowdays it's hard to play chess competitively on the internet due to the power of chess AI. Also, there are altcoin projects that allow people to challenge each other and bet on popular online games like CS:GO or Dota, but so far they didn't accomplish any major success.
So, what do you think the perfect PvP game for gambling should be?

I do think they should add games like :
Chess where people are allowed to play against each other. Or one might even take a little step further and have some racing games etc.
Honestly gambling is very prevent in pvp gaming since I did see a lot of matches and tournaments where people pay to get inside the game and at the end whosoever wins takes the winning with them, I do believe this is also a sort of skill gambling. All the major games have such tournaments and people tend to control these things themselves because at the end of the day if there is no third party involved people are more attracted to such games.
At the same time it is very prevalent to gamble in real life , pvp ' from races to some other games , it is an interesting sector which is still unexplored, we are still struck at card games therefore if the companies decide to maybe strike a deal with the biggest games around us they could make a lot of profit honestly.

Pretty sure Blackjack is one of the most popular ones, PvP is nothing that every casino can pull off that easily since that casino website needs enough traffic(players) so that users don't have to wait too much for someone to join them so that they can have a game.

There are other ways to cheat in chess as well. You might use a software that operates on your device and makes counter moves based on what your opponent does.

I think that's the main concern with online PvP games, whether it's chess, Blackjack or anything else, since there's absolutely no way of making sure your opponents is playing fairly and is not using any 3rd-party software that helps them winning in any form.

For me these games also seem like a usual 1 vs 1 setup, which is the best for gambling and betting. Because you want to profit if your own skills not by someone elses. Having team games in a gambling scenario seems very difficult because you need to ensure that premade teams are only getting matched against other premade teams. In the end the outcome will depend a lot on your teammates. I definitely prefer 1 vs 1 games.
That was what I am saying in the original reply, but someone quoted that they aren't played by two players. I do agree with you about it being a good game for gambling because I know some of these games can be really good for gambling, and if it succeeds, it can even be a betting game where you can bet on which player wins, a 50/50 bet game if it is an unknown versus unknown players that they are going to bet on it.

billiards and the rest of the games that you offered can be played by more than two players but chess arent .
i think theres already chess with betting include but i forgot the link because it was shared by my fellow gamblers in the public chat long time ago .
What do you mean that Billiards and the other games except chess can be played by more than two players? I get that there can be a doubles in billiards and snooker but have you actually played those games that I have mentioned? I did a quick Google search as to how many players can play Go, Shogi, NBA2K and Checkers and the result is two players which is a good candidate for a PvP gambling. What makes you think that these games can be played by more than two?

I will admit that I know nothing about those video games but even a ranking system can be gamed, in chess one of the most well known ways to cheat is that there are tournaments that require that you have an Elo rating that falls between a range and some players decide to let themselves lose a bunch of games so their Elo rating gets lower despite the fact that their actual level of skill is higher and then they enter those tournaments and win easily the prize money.
There are other ways to cheat in chess as well. You might use a software that operates on your device and makes counter moves based on what your opponent does. The method you mentioned where players will throw some games to drop their ELO can actually be fixed by ensuring once a player reaches a particular ELO, it means that his ELO should not drop because of his losses by too much, since the player might be intentionally tanking matches.

PvP games have always been in demand whether its card games or video games but the problem has always been the same, how to avoid cheaters because unless you can watch the player play live, you cannot know if there is some kind of cheating being done.

That is why there are a lot of mobile applications that have this kind of rank so that the skill level of that player would be matched with other players with the same skill level. It would be really hard to measure in the real world that is why it is better if people would be doing it in a mobile application that would require some games and rank them based on their performance.

Just like Dota 2 or CSGO with their ranking system.

Chess can certainly be a better solution. But I'm not sure that Chess will be very popular. After all, it's not a game for everyone and games can take a very long time. I once went to chess school and I remember that once a game lasted more than 6 hours. I think a lot of people would get bored with such a long game. We need a game that lasts no more than an hour and a half.
If you play chess online you must know that there are various settings players can chose from like maximum time per move or maximum time to make all your moves combined. So you can take 2 mins for example per move when its your turn which means the game will not go on for too long.

The problem with chess is that the person who is playing against you might be using some kind of script or computer based moves which almost guarantee that you cannot win and in best case scenario you might be able to draw the game if you are using such scripts. Chess is only fun and legit when players are sitting in front of each other and playing it. Maybe a face cam can help but still can be manipulated.

I like to be Playing Chess as PvP and also some games in our local that fits for friendly playing .

Oh man if they can somehow integrate counter strike with gambling it would be a dream come true but I would want all the hacks and cheats being detected because as someone who has played these games a lot, I know how much hackers are there. I would even want PubG to be integrated and their hack detection is really good for PC version.

That's what brings CounterStrike Being a Shit Game because of those cheaters and hackers .

Well, it is an online game and with tons of smart gamers that could hack the game, we can't really do much about it. There are a lot of things they can exploit from the program that is if we will be talking about hacks or cheats, I think games like Chess is one of those perfect games for PvP. Online or Offline, chess is a great game.

a Gambler and gamer ? i love betting against opponent that has skills so the thrilling added, and i don't wanna take advantage from others weakness specially when Money matters.
You aren't taking advantage actually but you are just challenging players and there can be some kind of MMR (Match making rating) which can be used to make sure players are matched on the same level. I think bet amounts needs to be small in these games because big chances to earn attract more cheaters in these games.

I wish there were some gambling sites with at least a basic game like chess to be played for money.

A PvP preferably should have no skills involved simply of how easy that is to abuse, Tic-Tac-Toe / Chess / Checkers / Aiming aren't suitable.. BJ ' best option IMO ' / Dice or something w/ poker / spinning / RPS would be best simplest possible games.

The second issue is liquidity, sports exchanges and new PvP sites often fail to get a sufficient number of players, if an established sportsbook or casino add an exchange or a new PvP game it would have a better chance in succeeding.

This is a vicious circle - the bookmaker will never add a game that has a small number of players and in generally not very popular. Getting to the top level of the competition and to the list of bookmakers is the last stage. It is necessary to start with the game to be interesting and people played it (the audience grew) if this leads to a great popularity of the game, then you can think about the next stages, but not earlier.

I agree, to make a game interesting to the broad masses of people there needs to be some form of skill involved. If it purely based on luck than it will be hard to attract many players. People tend to start betting if they feel they have an edge over the other guys. Without it it's going to not last very long. This doesn't mean there should be seal clubbing for easy profits. To make it viable there needs to be a ranking 6in place, so similar skilled people are getting matched.

That is true, whenever there's a bookie that managed to have a list of PvP bets, they mostly fail because there's not that much player. There's not that much demand on them and even if you'll have good games, demand isn't enough.
But I think once a trend starts to hype games like Chess, there will be interesting folks who would like to bet for each game with another opponent from elsewhere.

I think one very common PVP gambling game is "Stone, paper, scissors". This game could work in a 0% house edge casino like any other PVP game. But seems gamblers still prefer to play the traditional games, principally Dice.

Truth be told pvp is not as popular as we tend to believe, obviously due to the pandemic most casinos are still closed but if you take the time to recollect any time in which you went to a physical casino you will remember that most of the games that are offered are of the type in which the player is playing against the casino, games like blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps and a very long list of games in which you are playing against the casino, and only a very small portion of the space in the casino is dedicated to pvp, and if there is no demand for those games then most casinos are not going to offer them.

PvP games are not popular because it's easy to cheat! So we can play chess for example, but if you are running some simulation program on a side and you are pulling AI moves how can I win? For other games, there are other cheats... why some people don't like crypto poker with just a few people sitting at tables, you never know is there some kind of collusion between players,  house players... but anyway poker is the game of chance in the end, and you can get good cards and rock them!

We had similar topics before, from time to time people ask about PvP games for crypto... here and there I see some tries, but nothing so special to keep my attention and make me want to play it a lot! We will have to wait for that!
This is without a doubt a problem, pvp games like poker are not completely reliant on luck like other games, there is skill involved and as we know the level of skill among players can vary and many people just want to have some fun in the casino and do not want to think too much when they are having some fun, but when we add the fact that when you add skill to the game and that some players can cheat in it in some way or form then it becomes even less attractive to play those games, which is a shame because I really enjoy those kind of games but with the number of people playing them being so small you never know if the other players are actually colluding against you, in which case you have no chance of winning in those games at all regardless of your level of skill.

That is why there are a lot of mobile applications that have this kind of rank so that the skill level of that player would be matched with other players with the same skill level. I still believe Dota 2 is still one of the best PvP gambling game that there can be because of the promotions it has gotten and the prize pool of the current International event that they are having is already more than a Billion dollars. If ever they will include Cryptocurrencies in their transaction type, it will also boost the credibility of Cryptocurrencies because of the wide range of users that Dota 2 has and that will be another opportunity to have a surge in Crypto users.

Why are people thinking about Dota 2?

While there are a lot of people playing it, it is still not that balanced. There are still a lot of heroes that could dominate the game and I think that could not be always controlled since it is a MOBA, it is a fighting game and that also means that it would not always be balanced. I don't think it would be the best PvP that we have, but its what we have right now.

Poker will be the spearhead of this new form of gambling as it is easy to code and easier to play. That being said I see some future in the Arena Genre as Axie Infinity, which I'm not sure can be classified as gambling of some sort, is  taking the crypto world by storm, future game developers aspiring to flourish in the PvP genre can pick up from the ideas in these games and they will surely gain something good from it.

All I can think of right now are games that have been played in our country for a lot of years now. Tongits, Pusoy, Pusoy dos, Lucky 9, Bit Game, and right now the "What's in the middle game", which I am not familiar with. Most of them are very suitable for PvP gambling and whatsoever, it has no house edge as it is dependent on the players on how they will play the game.

Most of them are luck-based game but I see Bit game as a skill-based game as it is closer to Poker, the same as Tongis and Pusot Dos.
