There is no chance for the internet to go down if this ever happens means that we will be totally screwed and we will have much more importand things to worry than bitcoin.

So far so good
given the cayos happening in the world i wouldn't be surprised of nuclear war and in this case i would expect internet disruption question is how do we trade bitcoin during this time if we can't access internet.

home internet and mobile internet goes down
Bitcoin network completely breaks down. no hash power, no node. no confirmation, then we have to go cash, like dollar, euro.

If one day the all internet is down, it means probably ww3. In that case, even dollar or euro will have no value anymore.
I think in that case, better to have gold.

The internet is indestructible, the internet is a global network as well as a cryptocurrency network or any other peer to peer network.
Oh, no. It's not indestructible at all. Cut a few undersea cables and the whole internet is crippled.
In fact, a massive DDoS some time ago affected internet connection globally. That's just a DDoS, no war whatsoever.

If the internet were to go down, I think bitcoin would fork. Asia, Europe, and the US would all have different chains. Bitcoin transactions would not be global anymore, and there's a huge possibility of double-spending (I'd spend BTC in Hong-Kong, fly to US, then spend it again since they're separate chains).

Just follow the rules
Internet is the heart of bitcoin or bitcoin needs internet so he can live properly if the internet is slow then the bitcoin transaction process also slowed because bitcoin delivery depends on the speed of the Internet network and if the Internet went down it would be good bye bitcoin for everyone internet will disappeared for forever it will trouble to everyone who needs internet everyday!

If internet goes down no one could possibly send money across the world, even though there is another way of sending money to someone like text messages and it is encrypted and if you decrypted it you can save the BTC and spend it all the way you want as long as you have the QR code.

The internet is indestructible, the internet is a global network as well as a cryptocurrency network or any other peer to peer network.

you are right , now in this era , it is impossible that internet go down forever, there are a lot of experts in that field and they will try their best to maintain the service of internet and in some areas because of some accidents when internet do offline, it is fixed sooner.

Each second adds money to all business. Hence none will allow the network either go down or completely get stopped. I am sure every one who invested depending on internet, will never let it down.

do not mean trade bitcoin to buy/sell i mean using it as a way of payment say you wanted to send money to someone abroad for family far away
It mayeffect the transaction if such industry implement a good power back up by generators for the continuous power supply. However I guess it could be a hard time when you can't use your BTC but it will be as good as before when everything is restored.

Without internet it seems impossible to continue this technological system, my friend, and perhaps this is one of the most important disadvantages of bitcoin compared to material assets like gold or silver.

But this is not a huge problem of the bitcoin ecosystem. All this modern world has become totally dependent on digital technologies and all humanity will suffer in case of an unexpected Internet interruption.

It is hard that internet go down. Because is something which is entering in every cell of our life. And if want to be killed in some part or in to many parts can reborn in the remaining ones. Then with the application of the peer to peer technology on its structure, is hoped that internet become much more (if not all) decentralized. If this will become true it will be almost impossible to kill it. Every part will become independent and to kill internet must be killed every computer. Very hard thing to became true.

Lets hope it doesn't. All the work around us is fully surrounded with data which is really kept safe with internet. I am damn sure, more time and energy is spent to keep the internet active always.

Bitcoin won't be the only thing that'll crash if the internet goes.

As quoted not only the bitcoin, every market goes down as most were depending upon bitcoin for their advancement as well growth.

Online remittances will not be present. So let's say there's a war like OP's thoughts how bitcoin can able to help us? Also the stock market will be affected too since no online trades can happen. This is really a worst case scenario.

If that happens, then we wait  Grin

maybe is the end of the world and bitcon wont be a problem, or maybe it's "temporary"(like a war)
At some point, they will restabilize the service and your bitcoins will be there(if you were holding them in the right place).

Physical bitcoins like Casascius coins, with a private key hidden in a difficult to counterfeit tamper proof seal, could be used.

Then the problem is: how can you verify it has not been spent already?

You have to obviously trust the originator of the coin and, also, the seal is tamper proof so if it has been opened that would be obvious.

Counterfeiting is a potential issue so, similar to real collectible coins, probably best to use ones that are in an NGC or PCGS slab
