This is in connection back to the thread I made about casinos mandating users to complete Level 2 KYC by the end of the year. By now, we probably have an idea that over time, more and more casinos will likely adopt similar requirements.

So, here’s the question: if all crypto casinos started requiring KYC before you can gamble, what would you do? Would you go ahead and pass the KYC to continue gambling? Would you switch to fiat casinos instead? Stop gambling altogether? Or maybe start looking for a decentralized casino to avoid the hassle?
If all casinos make kyc verification mandatory for gambling then if one wants to gamble then he must complete the verification. And since there is no way then of course I will also do verification but at that time I will not go to use any new casino site no matter how good the facility they provide.  At that time only use top and trusted casino sites and feel free to do KYC verification there. Because they keep user data encrypted, there should be no fear of verification

I would go through, because it seems to me that all platforms are waiting for this and look for one site where this procedure will not be required, but after a while it will simply block your account.

if there is no other choice, then I'd complete the KYC requirement. I would rather gamble on a crypto casino than a fiat one since most of the time crypto casinos because there are a lot to choose from when it comes to games, are less strict and have better promotion compared to a fiat(at least from my experience).

Or maybe start looking for a decentralized casino to avoid the hassle?
when all crypto casinos require KYC, it is less hassle to comply with KYC than looking for a casino without KYC that is trusted.

When I am a neutral person and not a wanted criminal of any sort, I would do my KYC since it is the requirement to continue having my fun whenever I want. However, I would be forced to have favorites in casinos since I would not be willing to have my data on several casinos. I would select one or two reputable casinos to do my KYC and maintain my patronage on them.

All the casinos and sport bookie that I use are centralized meanwhile that there is a tendency or probability of them asking for kyc verification at one point in time so if they should start asking for KYC verification before we can continue with our normal activity then I would waste no time in submitting the necessary documents.

90% of gamblers here have already verified their account or submitted their documents in one casino or another so the majority of responses you’ll get are going to be positive.

I will fulfill KYC request for the following reasons:
I don't like gambling with fiat money because my trust level in local casinos is very low, they manipulate more this has been going on for a long time based on people close to me who gamble with fiat money never get transparent games, only with crypto options my only entertainment to still be able to enjoy gambling especially sports betting. So like it or not if the options you provide every crypto casino requires KYC means there is no other choice.

Probably, all casinos will switch to this mode of operation. No KYC - No Gambling.

The exceptions will be semi-legal casinos, but gambling on these sites will be excessively associated with risks due to sudden blocking and scams on the part of casino owners.

Legal gambling business will unconditionally "bend" under the KYC requirements completely.

The answers to these questions will depend on the degree of "affected" by gambling addiction.

I simply would not play in a casino with KYC under the current circumstances, and KYC would not have stopped an addicted gambler.

~snip~

There was a time when many people didn't want to get passports from the government to keep their privacy as long as possible. Today it seems ridiculous to many people. It is roughly the same with KYC. Right now many people are against KYC, but in time it will be about like getting a ticket at a health clinic.
Personally, I have become more loyal to KYC, because I understand that this requirement is created by regulators and gaming platforms just comply with these requirements.

I would gladly complete the kyc verification if need be as requirements to keep gambling. We have gone past this stage of worrying what kyc verification is and how it can negatively impact ones gambling accounts. It is even worse if one refuses to do their kyc because their accounts may be suspended and if there is a big win, it might be denied them because they failed to fulfil the kyc requirements.
I don't really fancy anonymity when it comes to gambling that is why I will complete my kyc verification on a top site and gamble using cryptocurrency if I have more instead of Fiat and I would be more freer with funding my wallet because I know it would become harder to hack too.

First of all I think it will never happen that all crypto casinos will ask us to do kyc verification to continue gambling. Because crypto casinos also include decentralized crypto casinos and we don't have to do KYC verification on them and we don't have to do it until they are converted from decentralized to centralized casinos.

Well, this is a great option for those who don’t want to share personal information or documents with a casino. But here’s the thing, do we have any popular decentralized casinos that gamblers truly trust?

If we can’t name at least one with a solid reputation, then it feels like just calling it a "DEX casino" doesn’t mean much if it lacks trust and credibility. Reputation is everything in gambling, after all.

And if we assume that all casinos ask for kyc verification to continue gambling then we have no other option but to do that and in this case if we continue to gamble on online gambling sites with kyc verification then we must choose top level online casinos for gambling. So that our personal data will not be misused.

Come on, why people like they're gamble on no KYC casino? Cheesy

I mean, take a look with the casino you promoted, they're all KYC casino. When we're use a non privacy oriented project, it means we should not mind to share our identity, remember personal information isn't only the KYC they ask, but your internet connection, phone number, and basic personal information are form of KYC.

If you want to avoid KYC, you're already lose in the first place.

That is true. Majority cant explain why they avoid KYC. Majority cant explain why they want to stay anonymous. They say that they dont want to share their private data to third party because they are not sure about their safety; they are afraid that their documents will leak from third party servers. When they themselves often keep private data documents on desktop, keep on email (with qwerty alike passwords) in drafts, gladly let others scan and copy documents whenever they are asked for them offline. And now they are against KYC, because they want to stay anonymous with their $100 in crypto.

All choices come back to yourself in the end because indeed KYC for now is a demand for Casinos so if we still want to play then we inevitably have to follow the rules because it is already set unless we want to stop on the site and switch to other gambling conditions in land-based casinos for example.

I personally for now will still do it in non-KYC but if in the end all online casinos require to do KYC including for some sites that I still often visit today then I have no problem and will follow the existing flow because it is already a provision.
I won't feel that it's a burden if it's all required, but if there are still non-KYC sites and they are reputable then it will still be my first choice.

I think we all do the same thing. As long as we can still take advantage from those non-KYC casinos, our focus will be on them. But when time comes that all sites are already required to comply with KYC, if we want to stay gambling, hence we should play based on the rules. After all, we don’t give our personal information to those shady casinos, but we should be more cautious instead in looking for reputable casinos to gamble with.

If every gambling casinos now requires for kyc in other for us to continue enjoying using them for gambling, then we may have no choice than to render to them all our information as maybe required by them, but lets also look into the possibility for this happening, how many of the gambling casinos will be able to corporate with each other in making this an achievement, are they also not going to run on loss for making such implementation, will the no kyc casinos also comply to this.

I don't know what will happen but all casino can't be the same all over one night. The casino you are taking about I believe it's stake platform and I can't really state the exact reason why they decided to do that but I'm certain that they are going to lose a lot of customers. There is likely going to be an opportunity for other casinos that don't ask for KYC but stake has won their heart, it's high time the non kyc platforms step up their services to gain customers trust.

If your favourite casino ask you for KYC and you don't want to do KYC, it's high time you look out for other ones that doesn't ask for KYC documents. Atleast give it some test and see if they can be trusted, have good customer's service, they have a representative here, they are not scammers. The last one is very important so you don't have to run after casino, some of them don't like to pay users when they win huge amount of money.

That would be the end of anonymous gambling. It won't be the end of crypto gambling industry because some people don't give a damn. They are so addicted, they'll sign whatever paper you tell them to sign, they'll give you whatever documents you ask as long as you let them play.

People were supposed to use decentralized exchanges instead of binance, coinbase etc but look how it is. Almost everybody is using central exchanges. Take a look at bisq, it is a ghost town.

The point is, people are more irrational than we give them credit for.

All the options you presented are not good; you don't want to stop gambling, we are done with fiat and you will miss instant transaction and transparency through the blockchain, and you are so familiar with centralized that's the only choice we've had, so the only choice is to proceed and welcome this new changes and just pick the right casino to play which is trusted and will protect your sensitive information, so you will be comfortable playing.

If KYC verification is made mandatory on every casino site then definitely in my opinion the number of under 18 users will decrease to a great extent. Because users under the age of 18 will not be able to collect the national identity card, passport, or diving license needed to perform KYC with KYC verification documents, so their number will decrease to a large extent. Moreover, the amount of money laundered by gamblers who are involved in money laundering will be reduced.
And there will be barriers to participating in gambling in countries where gambling is not permitted. I believe that the amount of participation in online gambling especially among school and college students will be reduced to a large extent, so that a healthy environment will return to their education.

If casinos require KYC, I don't mind so much to be honest. I'm lucky enough to live in a country that won't prosecute me for simply gambling online.

If it was for other activities like for instance buying medicine on the grey market I'd rather avoid being traced at all. So I'd try to cut all avenues of tracing any such transactions back to me. But since I live in a country that doesn't enforce anything on users of I don't mind sending KYC to a casino. The only issue here is the trust issue. Like why would I send KYC to a casino I can't trust.

If I didn't trust a casino I'm thinking I might have not deposited money in the first place. So that's why for casinos to come here and try to interact with the community so they can prove their trust.
