Losses. If the government isn't able to give a solution with regards to economic development, then expect a spiraling down economy for every country affected. Even those that have recovered would most likely experience the same effects. You can expect it to be slow, but surely we would still end up with the economy crashing in the end. With the current regulations set by the government, you could see that at most, they are just barely trying to keep the economy alive.

If the government could support the flow of the economy properly, then we could somehow survive for the year, but honestly, I have doubts about such things happening. They're probably instead trying to deal with the possible effects of the inflation, instead of trying to stop the inflation itself. Guess they kind of gave up?

Sometimes I wonder if economists are really the ones running the economy or politicians. By design, the economy shouldn't be politicized, but the reverse is now the case. Government most times runs the economy for selfish interests which most times leads to immediate gains and severe future consequences.

It has been months since the spread of corona virus and those months have been hard for all of us, not just because of our work, studies, and everything but also because of financial problems we're facing and economic loss as a whole. It is really hard to go to work for those people that needs to go to offices, studies are done online, and lot of activities are cancelled. Traveling is harder than before and even physical communication is hard. Everything is harder with this pandemic. If it will last for more months to come, it will even be harder for all of us, especially to us living in a third world country. The government would not be able to supply foods and assistance for poor familiies in more coming months that don't have any other way of living available other than those work they have that needs to get out of the house and make physical contacts and communications.

Many people are speculating that pre-COVID global economic levels won't return until 2023. I'm also inclined to believe that, news came out today that the EU is considering banning travel from the USA due to their inability to manage the virus.

I don't see the US or any other major country slipping back into lockdowns, not anytime soon at least. If more lockdowns are to come it won't be until the fall months start and COVID-19 cases start spiking again as many medical professionals predict will happen. Even then, take the US for example which is already experiencing record high spikes, there is no intention to go back into lockdown, the only other possibility would be a democratic governor locking down the state to economically protest Trump, but that seems unlikely as they would also be shooting themselves in the foot economically. I seriously don't think the economy could support another lockdown. I think the goal, especially in the US, is to just defund testing centers to hide the real numbers and try sweeping it all under the rug.

The pandemic will most certainly persist until the end of the year if not longer depending on where in the world you are.

I personally think we're living through a paradigm switch, China already has been working for decades to build new economic infrastructure to establish what the CCP calls "a post-American world", there's also been a lot of tension lately between China and India, Syria is still a flashpoint, Iran and North Korea remain nuclear threats, and when you toss a pandemic into the mix, things don't look good. Usually, when the world has been faced with a pandemic coupled with geopolitical, and economic tensions it has resulted in a paradigm shift, automation usually speeds things up too. Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I just don't see a way in which things ever go back to the way things were before COVID-19, and honestly, I think there's a growing number of people who don't want it to.

Slowly, in our country, jobs are going back to normal.

People are actually getting back to their jobs and some actually are finding ways to get a source of income like for example, people are doing reselling in online shops. Some actually are starting to use the internet to earn money. The cases here are still adding up so I don't think it would be completely normal here, we should be used to the new normal and I think that would be for long.
Well, that's what this crisis does. It makes us resourceful so that we can live and survive until this pandemic comes to an end. However, as jobs are slowly getting back to normal but the curve is not flattening, it's still risky to go out. But it's a sacrifice people has to make for their family.

We're halfway through 2020 and there's still no vaccine available, so it's not impossible that the pandemic will persist till the end of the year. Our President, PRRD, even said on a briefing that the vaccine might be available at the first quarter of 2021. Each and everyone of us should really help each other out so we can get through this. Those with the capacity to help shall help and keep ourselves healthy to fight this virus.

That would really take long and I don't know if the people could survive that.

There are those places that are safe but there are a lot of them that are prone to the virus especially those close to the capital of the country. Right now the Visayas is the focus of the MGs since most of the cases are from there because of the "Balik-Probinsya Program" which is good for those people stranded but worst for those people that should be safe from the virus. That is just bad decision right there.

It's almost 6 months since the coronavirus took its toll on every aspect of human lives. it has been accompanied by widescale job loss, a rise in the unemployment rate, a reduced standard of living, and intense hardship. From the economic perspective, what will be the fate of the global economic situation and normal day to day business if this pandemic doesn't go away by the end of this year?
Saying everything is going to become normal within 6 month is like being too optimistic. But, I really hope, things change after this year. I hope normal comes back.
I would say everything will start to reshape. We maybe facing troubles right now, but eventually will get used to it and we will bring in a "new normal".
The economy is currently facing a problem, but remember, in the long run, the economy always tends to reach the equilibrium.

its just a matter time when we get used to a very worse condition humans are resilient in any circumstances people even live on isolated deserts.  when finally we find this new normal to be comfortable enough you won't mind anymore wearing what a woman Muslims wear. in fact they are comfortable with it already before Covid19.

if after a year nothing news from WHO about virus vaccine its going to be chaos. we all have a boiling point, people go out. movies like post end of the world might just be true  Cheesy  i hope not. economy grow back it takes time.

Since no vaccine for the virus has been discovered everyone wants to travel back to the lockdown The virus is on the increase again as everything was in check. the govt has thus far not issued any order to reopen the tutorial institution but is getting to issue another order to shut it albeit business is restricted this is often very sad for the entire world.

This is true this pandemic is really worse many people affected of this virus. Many people have lost their jobs nothing to eat on their table. This pandemic will persist throughout the whole year so whole country is affected but once the vaccine is ready we can go back to our normal lives. Actually, this is a lesson to many to be prepared when everything unexpected happens.

Aside the trial conducted by the oxford university, there has been numerous research also by many nations and according to research and news online, it is very likely we have the first proven vaccine ready by the end of September which is still far, however many countries are already trying to mitigate the effect of the pandemic on the economy which has resulted into partial opening of some business through the countries. The same with schools. A lot of college have started planning to resume taking prior measure to reduce the spread of the virus

what will be the fate of the global economic situation and normal day to day business if this pandemic doesn't go away by the end of this year?

For me I think global economy will severely suffer if this pandemic doesn't go away this year. Think of those small and huge businesses which are bankrupted already, its been only 6 months but there's already a huge drop in the price of bitcoin. I know all of us are suffering including the government but that doesn't mean that it will take forever. This pandemic is only temporary and we can get through this as soon as possible. Proper management of your assets are required for you to prevent financial problems. Some governments are already implemented some solution for the people to open their business with new set of rules and regulations just for the people to pay their reasonable taxes. By that, little by little the economy of a country will somehow recover until we eliminate this virus completely.

Of course, the crisis will drag on until the end of the year. I think the crisis may last several years. No need to waste time. We need to learn something new, acquire new knowledge. Many people may lose their jobs because the number of jobs has declined due to the virus. I think first of all we need to find a vaccine for the virus so that the world can return to normal life. If this does not happen, the economies of many countries will be completely destroyed.

We hope that the crisis will not stay too long because I think it is not good for people who are suffering because of the pandemic. They don't have jobs to earn money, and although many of them are trying to search for a new job, it seems, the company has a new rule in this pandemic. Many of them still hard to survive, and maybe that can lead to increases in the crime. The vaccine itself will be discovered soon because many countries still try one by one to find the right vaccine.

Many of us pray for the crisis to end up as soon as possible but for seeing the current situation seems possibly we will still experience this mess until next year but hopefully by September their is a vaccine created since I'm really praying for those on clinical test to became successful so that we can go back to our normal lives.

If no vaccine found this year or even next year for sure crime rate will increase due to hunger since I'm sure many people will loot some goods out of desperation.

What if this pandemic persists till the end of the year?

I dont give even 5% chance that pandemic can be stopped before end of this year. It is possible that vaccine will be made but it is almost impossible enough will be made that 5 billion people gets vaccinated. Mid 2021 seems way more reasonable goal or at least before end of 2021. If we dont get vaccinated people by then then we are really in deep shit.

If that will happen and there is a huge possibility that pandemic will spread more maybe until next year as long as there is no cure. Then our life will surely become more worst specially the poorest among the poor. And the unemployment will increase. Each and everyone  of us specially those with enough capability to help should extend their helping hand for other.

Unfortuanelty the chances of corona still being around next year are not so small. COVID 19 infected the hole world with million of cases everywhere. There is not one circle of corona around the world, but different states in different countries. Like NZ already being corona free or European countries already containing the virus and reopening the country. But in South America or India for example the numbers are still rising.
Once international travels become normal again a potential spread of corona could happen very fast again. Especially if there will be new variants of covid, smiliar to the flu.

Hard to know for sure what will happen if this pandemic continues to persist. Maybe many companies will become bankrupt and employees will be forced to quit their job. The world economy may face the big crash which pushes many people to suicide lol

However, as you can see, many businesses know how to maintain their work and their system by using many types of new technologies such as Zoom, online broadcast, etc. And as we are human, I do believe that we will soon find their cure or at least the way for others to walk with. Human is an astonishing creature who can do anything to rule the world Wink

This is the concern of every country now like ours because after almost going back to normal now those places that has been no recorded infection for weeks is now returning back to the quarantine.
and now the president is giving warning if the case spreads again then there is no doubt that Lockdown will take place again and this time will be more strict and ruling.
