I dont think that it would be possible since bitcoin is an open source project and nobody is controling it. It's decentralized.

This is a very good idea to advertise bitcoin on TV. Many people do watch TV, a lot more than people that surf the internet each day. I think that there are 3 times as many people that watch TV than people that surfe the internet each day.
What could be wrong in your ideea is that many TV's are still controlled by govs. For bitcoin to grow further it is necessary to be accepted by the govs. In my opinion less than 1-5% on the people in this world can say what a bitcoin is, with the help of TV this percentage would increase to 10-20%. Doing this would be equivalent to a 100 times increase in the price of bitcoin. Let's wait for the TV to be involved in spreading the word about bitcoin.

And who will do so? Considering that there is no central authority managing bitcoins, I doubt anyone will be willing to do the ad with their possess cash. The funds you are going to be putting into the adverts can be used in purchasing bitcoins so why go the other way?
You have got the point there but it's still a great idea though, advertise bitcoin on T.V and it will make people attracted into bitcoin for sure. Actually it's not easy as we think though, i mean there are also many rules to advertise on T.V. The government on that country also will asked about bitcoin.

Yes, it is a good medium to reach more potential users and exchanges is already using social media to build a strong user base and they have to start with the introduction of Bitcoin. However, I think the best way to attract more potential users is a one to one communication (aka - mouth publicity) where we can deal with real-time doubts of any person. I think there should be a two-way communication in that process because there is a huge misconception among general people and that needs to be addressed in real-time. I am not against T.V or other media but I am expecting two-way communication.

I guess the main problem is that bitcoin is open-source, community driven... Altough there are some bigger players on the market.
I think this would make it incredibly difficult to get a concensus on which add would be shown, as well as finding sponsors to foot the bill. TV ads aren't cheap
But yes, IF there would ever be a concensus about showing a TV ad, and we would find somebody footing the bill, i think it would give BTC and incredible boost. In my country, most people still think bitcoin is only used by criminals, they always give me a strange look when i tell them i have some btc to.

Correct, bitcoin is not like a company that can dedicate part of their funds to marketing, bitcoin does not have that, there is not a central authority that can dedicate a part of the bitcoin mined to that purpose, so any promotion needs to be paid from our own pockets and I doubt that people will want to invest money on media advertising if they can instead use that money to buy even more bitcoin.

I don’t think for any possibilities that it will be advertised on TV because for sure the government will disagree on that matter. Bitcoin in some country is illegal. On the other hand, advertising on TV is so expensive. Who do you think will pay for it? There’s another way on how to advertise bitcoin, and that is through social media. Nowadays, people spend most of their time in social media. For me, advertising through social media is an effective way to promote bitcoin. Advertising bitcoin in television is a good idea, thru it, people will be aware of its existence and maybe its advantages. Although, advertising agencies may have a hard time on how to portray its uses and all. The soul idea is great and might be happening in the future. But now I don't think the whole world is ready for bitcoin. And if they will know bitcoin the price surge high and demand be in beyond in compared. It will be hard for us all when we know for the fact that it has only 21 million in supply and only limited.
