He/she simply the one who manages, organize and prepare the bounty before releasing in the public or forum. They are also the one who communicates with the project team with regards to the budget allocation, terms and conditions and other part of the contract.
The 'Bounty Manager' manages bounty. Bounty is the promotion type means there you will get paid for promoting any project by making videos, writing articles and promoting a project on other social platforms.
I think he's referring to bounty managers, not bounty hunters.Bounty managers are the ones who check the work of the bounty hunters and report to the project.

Above posts explained it well, you have to check the reputation of Bounty manager before being participant on campaigns. Many Bounty hunters don't care about the bounty terms and they only check the rewards.

Yeah you can somehow call it similar because it is all about promotion. Only thing that differs it from marketing campaign is the methodology of the said promotion. In bounty campaigns, I often observe that most of it are either signature campaigns which obviously isn't done in marketing campaign but here in the forum.

Anyway, they already answer your question, Bounty Manager is the one who managed the Bounty campaign, the project which is similar to marketing. It composed of different types of campaign which you can join. You can promote the project to earn money through the coins they will pay. As a newbie you can join first to different social media campaign then later in signature if you rank up.
It's a very similar thing to the marketing campaign and that was running by the project to increase its traffic. You can call that as a marketing campaign as well but it was getting paid with the crypto as the main payment to the participants.

Bounty is a set part of the award kept aside for people promoting the project, these people are paid some coins/ tokens from the total supply for the services that they have performed. Generally, there are set stakes for every activity that a person does, and based on the stakes of every person, a person gets his share from the total bounty pool.For example A bounty pool for XYZ Coin has 1 Million Coins, 1 week of the signature campaign gives 10 Stakes to Senior members and 5 stakes for members, Now after 4 weeks, A senior member who works all 4 weeks will have 40 Stakes(10 x 4) while Member who let's say just worked for 2 weeks would have 20 stakes( 5 x 2). Out of a total pool of 1 Million coins, the distribution would be 800k coins to Senior Member and 200k to Member.
Now the person who does all this calculation of staking, creates the bounty thread and manages it, and also ensures everyone is obeying the rules of the bounty and project is called the Bounty Manager.
