I strongly recommend that you start working with the amount that you are willing to afford to lose. For each person, this amount in practice is different.

If you have more money I suggest a $2k because the more you invest the more profit you will receive this is rule of the game here it's just like a gamble. But it depends on you how you want to invest if you want a trial and error try to invest small amount then if you becaome successful try to adjust your investment to much more value.

The golden rule would say " the amount you can afford to lose", because you can never be 100% sure about anything when it comes to crypto, it's too damn volatile and unstable.

You shouldn't look at it by how much money you should invest since that's all relative.  You should look at it as what percent of your net worth you should invest.  Younger you are, the more aggressive you can be.  Crypto should be a part of a diversified portfolio.

There's no definet amount that we can say that its a good investment. Its always depend on youre income or money onhand when investing. You can invest as big as a million xor a hundred. The profit that you will get is depend on how much you invest in buying coins in the market. If your capital is as low expect that your profit is not that high compared when you invest high but its alsa has a risk that it will not go within your plan mayabe the market at the time you invest will be down. So your investment will failed.

There are no minimal sum for investment. If you hear that somebody tell "without 1K$ you can not earn money", do not believe those people

To invest, you need a good start-up capital of $ 5,000. Put the part in ico, and the rest in longevity.

It definitely, depends on you, I would recommend to just invest the money you are saving, never invest money you need to eat or to maintain your lifestyle, because the market is volatile and you don't know exactly how much of a profit you will get.

Most of the coins we see today will not exist in a couple of years. Only few will remain. Chances of losing your investment are high. If you can handle losing $10, then that's your ideal amount to invest. If you earn $100K a week, I guess $100K is a great starting point.

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.

If money isn't an issue, go with $10,000. I think $10,000 is a lot of headroom for cryptocurrency investments whether bitcoins, ethereum, and/or a combination of them with alt coins. The amount stated is enough to make sure you live for a month while fully being dependent on cryptocurrency trading.

Anywhere between 500$ to 5000$ is good amount for a newcomer to invest in cryptocurrencies. You will get a decent amount of alts for this price and they pay well if you buy some good alts.

You should start with a review of the first ten altcoins, studying their projects, plan, contracts and future transactions. You should also start with a small amount, which is not a pity.

If you decide to join the crypto market you must start trading at least one or more of the money to buy the money. Remember, never use all your money for this trade.
I only invest money not exceeding 10% of my savings. I think it's risky to invest more! You can start with at least $100.
