Investment can make your money more. Although you can make a lot of money, the return on investment is high, but the risk is high, and there will be a lot of loss at any time.

The investment you make in project analysis and white paper reading is the best investment. if you are a bit lucky your money could be 2-3x shortly. $ 750 is good for this investment.

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.

because we invest in digital currency, then: in my opinion a good amount to invest is 1 or 2 ETH. and that depends on what we have. if for example you have 10 bitcoins, then a good amount to invest is 3 bitcoins. in my opinion like that

It seems to me green, as there is a different increase in different currencies. Every time the market makes us happy, then it's green, I do not see any other option. Smiley Wink Smiley

To be honest, I put $2000 into crypto when I was a newbie. Be cautious. Do not play the game if you cannot pay the price for it. Please calculate the risks and profits.
There is no ideal amount. I think you should also protect your investment and reduce the risks by diversifying your portfolio. Invest whatever amount of money you can lose without regrets.

One good thing with altcoin though is that it is a high risk, high profit kind of market and you really want to be careful which starts from not being too greedy.
One thing though is, one can make shit load of profit from altcoins and it is more of a short term thing as far as I am concerned anyway, and those who are smart enough to take advantage of that can make a lot from it, but some knowledge about trading helps a lot as well. We can invest any big amount also for huge returns but we need to be sure that we can afford that on the vent of losses.

In crypto you can start with 1000 and grow it into 10k if you are lucky. It is similar to gambling but not to investment. As advised here, all money in crypto could go to 0. You should know this fact and don't buy if you can't allow to lose.

Stellar, inherent to the coin last year, at the very beginning of 2018 was diluted with very expressive growth. So, for example, on January 3, the price of 1 XLM reached $ 0.88. Then the course gradually went down, and in early May the tendency to growth again began to be traced.

There are not many projects and companies which can make crypto mining better and safer. Eloncity is exactly from this small number of projects. This unique project solves all main crypto mining problems. I think this is a revolutionary project, so not ignore this opportunity to invest and earn! https://eloncity.io/

I think 20% of your initial is the best for invest. Don't invest too much or 100% of your money.and always use free money for invest.with 20% for each ico, you can join 5 icos at the same times. And if you make a good decision maybe you can make profits from 3 or 4 of them.always prepare for loss and remember icos need time before you can enjoy your profit. If you want a fast profit better you join trading than icos.

NEO. Potential investors should pay attention to:

low energy costs for mining and high transaction speed;
insignificance of the commission for the performance of monetary transactions;
the use of technology for smart contracts, which significantly speeds up the processing of information;
creation of a global, prospective investment fund on the cyber-currency platform;

With different vision, It will all depend on the time and the project you choose, but in general in my opinion $ 500 is a good amount to start in a promising currency and at least double your money you can do it, or depending on your style hold the investment for 6 months and even win 10x on top of your investment, is an option.
That is enough to get some coins on here. Most coins that are in this forum is worth about a dollar or less.

I think any amount you have will do. It doesn't really matter or it's not really important at all. How much do you need or want to invest isn't really a requirement. I think what's more important is how will it be when invested already, whether if it's a big or small amount, you're still can be called investor.

A good amount is the amount you can afford to invest .Perhaps 100 - $ 500 or more .

Yeah you are right, the good amount to invest are the amounts you can afford to lose and dont invest all your available funds, they need to keep some so if there are incoming potential project he can invest again.
I think somewhere between $500 and $1000 to $5000 will be a good amount to see the ROI and not be disappointed. Altcoins you will get for this price will give you more profit and independence.

I think it's a good idea to use $500 as the initial investment, because such prices can already buy coins at many price points. Even if you make a loss, it will not affect your life!

it all depends on how much you are willing to lose in case of failure. I started with 1000 dollars and invested not in ICO but in already stable coins

The sum of money invested depends on the amount of money you have at the moment. And the advice for you is to get free money to invest rather than borrow or sell your home because of the enormous risk in this cryptocurrencies market. If there are more than $ 10,000, investing in Bitcoin is less than $ 10,000, funding in altcoins. So 20-25 % of your funds can be your investment

There's no good amount to invest. But the ideal is larger amount of money if you wan tot earn huge amount of profit but it is not a necessary the basis of investment. Small or large amount of money you invest are bot good investment the difference only is the output of earning profit.

As a general rule, I feel a good amount to invest, especially in crypto, is an amount that wouldn't affect your life if you lose 100% of it. Although we all don't want it to happen, crypto going to 0 is not out of the realm of possibility and you could lose literally 100% of whatever you have, so to answer your question, only invest what you can afford to lose.
