The good amount is the amount that you are afford to lose, as a beginner its highly recommended to spent a bit to try the market. And it will increase along with your experience here.

Steongly agree with you, the words of Vitalik Buterin.
But it is true, now crypto is not stable business area, and everything can drop immediately.
THat is why be carefull with investments and good luck!

investment in crypto will still be profitable let alone the price of coins is down, we can get a lot of good coins for us to hold and we wait for the price of coins up to enjoy the results of our investment

I would say it depends on your budget / financial stability. please do not invest all your life savings into crypto. There is still a posibility that it may crash. Soo just allocate a small percent of money to be invested in crypto. The difference of the two is if you invest with a short term investment you will have small amount of the price you invest or you will sell your coin with low value and if you invest with long term investment you get high value of the coin you invest like me I invest with long term

The good amount to invest will depend on your financial capacity to invest. If you are earning relatively bigger amount of salaries if you are having a good job or if you have your own company or business then you can start bigger amount. According to my idea it is good to start in what amount the investors can lose beyond that it is not good to start. In reality those who invest the exceed amount from what they can lose are regretful at the end although not all but some

Its always best to adhere to the golden rule of investment that states that, you should invest what you can afford to lose. You should always go with 5% of your total investment portfolio so as to stay safe. Their is no amount too big or too small

A good amount for investment in cryptography depends on your goals. If you want to make cryptography on basic earnings, at least 1 k$. If you are just starting to invest, cryptography is for you an additional earn, invest as much as you are ready to lose.

As for me, there is no amount that is too big or small to invest depending on:
1. Capability. I.e. the amount you can afford
2. The level of trust or success in the project you want to invest on
3. Your ability to take risk
I could remember in September, 2017, when a friend of mine introduced me to crypto, I only have $50 on Mr then, I invested that money, later on I invested another $50. I know the return that investment has brought now. Assuming I have more than that then, I would have invested it. So you can decide to invest big or small depending on what you stand to gain.

At least between $300 to $500 will be fine I think or any extra amount you have, meaning the money you will use for investment will not affect your budget or you would not need to get starve or cost cut on any of your monthly expenditure because risk is inevitble with any kind of business even here in cryptocurrency and it really takes time before you get good profit.

For each this amount is individual. Each has its own investment opportunities. You should not invest more than you can afford. Many sell their apartment car to buy Bitcoin, this can not be done because crypt currency is a very big risk And you can lose all your money.

The ideal amount for investment will vary from person to person. In my case, I started with around $400 in 2013, and added to that in 2014 by small amounts. But I got most of my coins from signature campaigns and bounties.

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.

according to me, starting from 500 USD is good
someone should leave their money 500 USD and start investing without the need to doubt loss or profit
that is, the funds are indeed prepared to invest and not a fund for daily needs

You too have said it, invest only what you can afford to loose. Since you already know this, if you can afford thousands of dollars, then, nothing should draw you back from investing it.
