What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.
Actually you don't need any amount of capital. I'll say invest the amount you're comfortable with. I'd like to say that i think some people here didn't have anything to invest in in the start rather they got profit here to which they invested. This experience made them comfortable to join the market and really be more of a risk taker about it. because if you really want to make substantial profit you'll need to also invest substantially and not just tokens also effort and time.

As far as i am concerned, there no amount you cannot invest into crypto. Whatever you want to invest in, no matter the amount, should be backed-up with adequate research. You should have the knowledge of the coin or ICO you are interested in. Another thing is for you to diversify. Do not invest into just one coin.

You can invest very large sums only in case you have a good experience in investing. If you are a beginner, invest a small amount.

I always wanted to say it was like, you need to deposit all your real money in crypto. Because something that isn't certain what this world is yet.

I would say it depends on the quality of the coin you are planning on investing into. If you're looking to go high risk, and go after x20-100 coins, then you only need a small amount invested to make a fair amount of profit, e.g. You can turn $100 into $1,000, or even $10,000 but you need to pick the perfect coin first time. I would say starting off with $1,000 is a good amount for this type of strategy.

It depends on how much profit  you would like to make. Invest an amount that you can afford to lose. Even the most reliable and trusting project can die and bring you losses. Everything is unpredictable in the crypto-world. We need to be smarter and wise when it comes in investing our money
what rules need to be guided in any activity, and not just in the field of crypto-currency. at least you should invest only those funds that you will not be so difficult to lose .

It all depends on your capability and how much profit do you want to reach. However, you should keep in mind that investing or trading is very risky, that is why you should just invest the amount of money you can afford to lose. Never gamble all your money or savings just because you want big return.

Well, it depends on your financial abilities. But the main rule for me in this market is that you should invest only that ammount of money that you are able to loose and woldn't regret about it
If you are trading in crypto currency for your pleasure, Following the example of gambling, then your attitude to this activity is justified. But if someone professionally trades crypto currency, then he uses most of his funds.

If you want to minimize your risks, then you better invest a small amount of money in promising projects and watch carefully for their evolving. Or just invent in BTC and ETH in long term

It is difficult to say how much to invest. It depends on your current financial opportunities and general well-being, the risks you are ready to take. However, I think it is possible to start from the minimum

Quite sum up my answer. Nothing is considered good, depends on your financial capability as well as risk you are willing to take
Some will say $100, some gonnay say $1000 while others might say $10k
Just make sure it is not money you need for some needs, make sure it s cold money

- Start From Small and increaseour size s you grow more comfortable.
- Never invest more than you can afford so you will not loose.
-Bitcoin is the "reserve" cryptocurrency.

* Start From Small
   - Remember when your investing in crypto is to start from small. Once you're comfortable, then you can start to level up to bigger sizes.
* Never Invest More Than You Can Afford To Loose
   - By that means, if you woke up tomorrow nd your entire crypto portfolio was worthless, you'd be fine financially.

◽️ So here it is there's Bitcoin, and then ther's everything else. In my own experience, Bitcoin has the largest single position of any crypto portfolio - even after its recent price surge. You see, bitcoin is still the "reserve" currency of all cryptos. So it makes sense to understand bitcoin first. If you are looking to become an active crypto investor, I think you should hodl from 30 to 70 percent of your crypto portfolio in bitcoin, with ther crypto assets taking up the rest.
◽️ Reminder: The newer you are in crypto, the higher percentage of bitcoin ou should own. Total beginners will start by allocating 100% into bitcoin as that's the first crypto they buy. hen when they are comfortable and start to buy other cryptos.
◽️ Take Note: Do not allocate mor personal capital to this sector than you can afford to loose.

You should only invest the amount of money you afford to lose. Because investing in crypto is risky but profitable. I would suggest you to start first at small capital.
