A good POS currency, even if it is not openly, is VeChain (Ven), recently released with its mainet and a 1: 100 split, named VechainThor (VET).

It works with the same principle of Neo that generates Gas, and in fact just keep your VET in the wallet to receive Thor daily, which is similar to Ethereum gas, ie any transaction or operation that is carried out on the Vechain blockchain must use THOR for to work, which will subsequently be burned; therefore, as it is produced, it is also burnt, decreasing the inflation generated.

There are also several node systems, which generate a higher% of THOR based on owned VET; at present, there is about 20% annual ROI!

Interesting. I've never heard about this VeChain cryptocurrency, but if it provides a passive income system like NEO with its GAS cryptocurrency, then I would be worth investing into it. What most attracts me about this new cryptocurrency is the high APR which proves to become quite profitable over time. Of course, there's the risk of the pricing of such cryptocurrency within the long term (as it could either rise or fall in value), but with the compounding interest rates, it'll be worth every penny.

Things aside, I've been looking into other PoS cryptocurrencies which are quite prominent in the blockchain space. PIVX is a privacy coin just like DASH but with PoS instead of PoW. Another coin I'm looking into is Syndicate as I've seen some videos around the web, which shows good results when staking it for the long term. Usually, coins with high stake rates tend to experience over inflation over time, which could negatively impact their price within the market. However, they could be a great short-term investment as you quickly sell your earned stakes for profit.

For serious PoS cryptocurrencies, then it's recommended to invest into Peercoin, Blackcoin, Emercoin, and even StakeNet. This last one has many exciting features, which are worth looking into if you want to make a lot of money in the future. Nevertheless, the list of PoS coins to invest into right now, keeps getting bigger as time goes by. Roll Eyes

Im interested in the switch over for Ethereum, I did think it would be this year actually because of the costs of running the POW network.  ETH is not a cheap coin to send and use and thats a bit of a negative for it in comparison and growth also.
Do you have a source for the conversion being delayed, ETH would really shine a big spotlight on all POS coins I think.   It would lend alot of credibility to have one of the biggest networks now using a  different confirmation protocol to Bitcoin that is far less costly.  Too bad if its going to be 2019 instead

One common perception was that having a higher POS will give better return. However, looking at buzzcoin, gokucoin etc, where they give you 100% per month or even more, their value also fell quickly. The coins can give you supply but they also must have a market of demand, that is also why ethereum is very careful about changing over to proof of stake and they have decided to delay this conversion to a later date.

Any POS project that has survived the bear market is a good coin to invest imo.

There are quite a few lesser known coins, I would argue 'best' is also about price and that unknown gem vs its potential to grow in the market.   I know ENRG is organising energy contracts to allow a more efficient transfer of clean recyable type energy production and consumption between users and producers in a free market.
There is a carbon tax in Europe where this coin is being developed but to some extent the idea is applicable all over the world and POS networks generally are more distributed then POW because of its low cost threshold.

I'm not sure if this fiscal year into 2019 could be the start of something for POS based blockchains in having such a large efficiency and cost advantage over POW.    I dont believe many people are hedged ready for the idea that POS is alot less of a burden to its blockchain users in terms of its cost, while also retaining the same decentralised security.    Even if all people do is realise this benefit and hold 5% of their crypto in POS coins it would surely boost many of these small capitalised markets many times over.

People talk about surviving the bear market but POS is very lean and mean and able to do this many times over.   This could be making of its sucess imo

Any POS project that has survived the bear market is a good coin to invest imo.

DeepOnion's team for example has shown to be quite stoic and keep working harder and harder. The POS reward has decreased from 10% to 5% but taking into account the upwards potential in price it may be a good bet.

PRiVCY is a copycat with a lot of hype right now. I don't have long term faith in the team like with DeepOnion, but the short term hype they're gaining may make it a profitable project too.

My decision: I'm investing in both. No advice, DYOR.

DeepOnion is a great PoS coin with a solid development team. It's private, secure, and highly functional as a cryptocurrency for daily payments. Given that it has prospects to increase in price, I believe that it's a good PoS coin to invest into right now. On the other hand, PIVX is a privacy coin just like DeepOnion, but with Masternodes and ZK-SNARKS (ZEC's tried and tested privacy tech). It's PoS too with a solid development team behind it.

Another PoS coin that I would like to add to the list would be Ethereum. While it's not PoS yet, it will be soon, making it a huge investment opportunity right now. While the whole cryptocurrency market has been on a constant decline, you can decide to invest into Ethereum while it's still a PoW cryptocurrency, to preserve your profit in the future. Not only it's price will be a lot higher by then, but you will also be able to earn interest by holding ETH into your wallet. Therefore, I'd recommend investing into DeepOnion, PIVX, and ETH for the long term, but always do your own research before making decisions based on other's opinions. Wink

my Beans can beat your Beans in a fight
I started staking HousingCoin, HopeCoin and VulcanoCoin.  HousingCoin has been spiking up and down since they want to get enough volume to get on CMC.  All are higher than usual POS %.

Nice. I'm usually a fan of PoS coins, especially those which offer high stake rates. They're much more efficient in energy consumption than PoW coins, and much faster in transaction processing speeds. These coins you've mentioned are new to me, and hope that they could remain actively traded on the market for a very long time. Most PoS coins which offer high stake rates, usually tend to become abandoned by their developers, and are no longer traded on the market. Which leaves us with very few coins to choose from, for investing and growing our way towards endless profits in the future.

Right now, it is said that Diamond and Bean Cash are the most profitable PoS coins in existence to date. While Bean Cash is very inexpensive nowadays, it's gives you a lot of stakes per day. On the other hand, Diamond is a little bit expensive (but still undervalued) with an APR of 25% and a very limited supply. Therefore, if you invest into these coins right now, you could greatly benefit in the future once their prices start to rise all the way to the moon. Just my opinion Smiley

I heard BeanCash takes about $500 or more in coins to get stakes coming in.

The Bean Cash sprouting difficulty has gone waaay up since Alpha Crypto started showing how well it stakes to the world in his experiment videos. Its still sprouting nicely for me but its still a static block reward of 1000 Beans. I have seen wallets as small as 600+ Beans sprout. Its rare but it happens.

A lot of coins with their own blockchain recently fell greatly in price. Consider Stratis or Obsidian. I think it's a good investment in the long run.
after the market has fallen so deep, I already doubt the investments that are little-known. Although Perhaps it is worth exploring the projects on your advice, perhaps at least with the help of them will have the opportunity to win.

What's best right now is PRiVCY. From its name alone you will know that it's a privacy coin. It uses excellent technology that stands firm on its name and purpose. It has a very lively Discord community. Right now, airdrops is going on. Airdrops is a big plus for PRiVCY because you know, airdrops is the new "in" thing right now in the cryptocurrency world. This is safe because it is a non-ICO coin. Come and see for yourself, join the community now. You will thank me later. Here is PRiVCY's Discord https://discord.gg/qbz3wD

I would keep an eye on PFR and see how their node launch goes. It is a good time to buy the coin now, and if the nodes suck then sell the coins for profit. There are 2 types of nodes with different returns, you can reference their website for more info.

They have a trusted node and escrow node, the better of the two is 10,000 coins a node, so at the current price you could get almost 7 nodes

A good PoW/PoS coin is PRiVCY.
You can take the opportunity and take part in a special round of the airdrop.

Bottlecaps is back trading on Cryptopia.  It's an old coin with a lot of support and 200% POS.   It's also on freiexchange.com and will probably be on Tradesatoshi.
